@cutedharmee, business is a form of investment, NTB is another form of investment likewise others like stock or real estate. The main purpose of these investments is to make profit or returns. One is not better than the other it all depends on the investor's level if risk tolerance, efforts put in to get the returns, safety of both capital and the intended returns and many other factors.

Returns on two investment can be better compared when all factors affecting or surrounding them is the same.

Dangote is a business man but he's an investor in some banks that he's not managing but still get returns effortlessly which may not be the same compared with what he gets in Surgar or oil refinery.

Making, managing and growing wealth requires one to be involved in different forms of investment categories which could be low risk, medium risk or high risk. As the usual saying goes the higher the risk the higher the returns and vice versa.

I actually thought the 14% is suppose to be on each million grin. Like 14% of 1million which equals 140,000 multiplied by 3 which is the principal interestgrin grin grin

I = ( P * T * R )/366

I = ( 3,000,000 * 91 * 0.14 )/366 = 104,426.23
104000 on 3million for 3months?
God forbid
I'll rather go do business with my money

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by cutedharmee: 5:03pm On Jul 11
NL1960:

I = P * T * R / (number of days in the year)

I - Interest to be earned
P = Principal
T = Tenor
R = Rate in percentage
number of days in the year = 365 or 366(Leap Year)

P = 1,000,000 (Assume you are investing N1m)
T = 359
R = 19.50 = 19.50/100 = 0.195

I = (1,000,000 * 359 * 0.195) / 366 = 191,270.49

So your Interest is 191,270.49

GTB should debit you with: 1,000,000 - 191,270.49 = 808,729.51

NB: Charges are not included in this explanation.

Note: Different banks have different ways of passing the entries. Some banks will debit you with N1m and then credit you with 191,270.49. At maturity, you are now credited with N1m.
Pls do calculation lets say 14% for 91 days. Principal of 3m

chief, if you don't know something, just ask . there's no way master would earn 90k. That's what a senior W.O earns(100k) . Master earns around 150-180( basic + back man allowance ).

His list doesn't even contain an AWO or is it not a rank in the army?

A regular, (2LT) from NDA earns more than 180k.

How much does a L/cpl and Cpl earns

Yes that's the way to go. Same thing those Disco abi nah Nepa did to them in Ikeja military cantonment giving them light for only three hours in a day. Despite the fact that they are been paid millions of Naira monthly, the stupid woman heading them was he'll bent on the cantonment adding more money to the one been paid and service not rendered. I as a person has given up on this country cos every department, agencies and individual ain't ready to do the proper thing. Everyone sha want to have their own share of the cake fraudulently. Buy 100 goats then transport them to Lagos and sale for 150k if you can

Or you just shut up.. A lot of people who haven't done any business would just open mouth waah to talk what they know nothing about

Diesel is 1460 per litre right now... It would cost you 30k to move each one to Lagos minimum
Fuel, truck, police and army settlement
That's a cost price of 110k

Mortality rate of say 10% or u think they can't die?

Settle all the layers of agboro Tinubu has placed in Lagos would cost 15k per ram minimum

That's 135k cost price... 50% profit would get 65k

So 200k is a fair price
Make una no dey give us lamba jare...

I'm not gonna stoop low wit u. Greed will consume some of you as una dey put every of ur problems ontop Nigerians by inflating prices. Ram & goat is transported from Maigatari to Lagos for 5k and cow for 30k. As Ileya draws near it was transported for 35k. That was aw I saw one kogbokogbo cow they bought for some1 I knw for over 600k while I compared it wit d one I bought for a customer for same amount...omooor! And mind u I never impose buying from me on anyone oowkay. Face ur market and keep off ma mention.

Weldone op for a job well done. But one thing I've noticed with us in the South West and some other part is greed which seems to be a bit minimal with the Hausa's. Always blaming the government of which we also contribute a greater part. High cost of ram ain't due to any increase in transportation price. I was in dis same Niger on Thursday to buy ram, transport for each ram from there to Lagos cost only 5k. If with transportation, feeding and everything you get 50k gain or thereabout ain't that enough? Buh no, everyone wants to make 100k gain and more than. Woo if you're in Lagos I'll be bringing in goat meat soonest at affordable rate jare. I also have some rams to sell, we will be inside ARENA market at Oshodi. You can contact me on zero nine zero two two two four 9 four 5 one or zero eight one one four four one two seven nine zero.

I respect the fact that your dad is a Maj. Gen (Rtd)..
Even though you did Tama 1 during 55RC ..
It doesn't change the Fact that you aren't a soldier and don't know what it takes to be one...
Y'all are quick to point out where and when soldiers retaliate but refuse to acknowledge the disrespect by the civilian populace..
Till Civilians start acknowledging and regarding soldier, cases like this will occur..

So y'all should brace for (more) impact..
God bless you sir for this...
I wish I can like this comment 1000times

Common you should know better...
If you perused the official statement released by Brig Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu.. The take away is, if you feel that soldier(s) stepped out of line, their is an avenue for you to table your grievances to the authorities through the right channel not spoiling for war with soldiers or attacking them and not expect a clap back..
Even if I am a bloody civilian.. I would never support fellow citizens laying hands or gang beating (Uniformed) soldiers in the name of standing up for their right..

Even a thief caught in action or a killer caught in action, the law forbids Mob action or jungle justice.. So why Gang beating Soldiers and now shouting about human rights when they retaliate...

You, having given me a background info of where you are coming from.. I had to respond to you this way and try to make you see logical reasons as to why the mob are the ones to be blamed..

You should know better bro..
You definitely should know better bro..
Godspeed... 👏
