I challenge all who have interest in this topic! Send that engine to me for evaluation and possible refix, I will fix that engine for you and give you 2 years guaranty of average performance. This is what I do for people from time to time. If you are in Abuja or Port Harcourt.

But I asked for your location and contact number your didn't answer.

I meant for us to possibly see and talk business.

You can be a digital marketer and still take your skills a step further by learning data analysis to become a digital marketing analyst.

A digital marketer who is also a data analyst is HOT CAKE in the tech ecosystem.

Ring the engine if you can't afford to buy tokunbo, you bleeped up by switching to ammasco oil.

Change pistons when necessary

Buy tokunbo crank and camshaft sensor you will need this 2 after engine has been done.

Let him change the necessary things in the engine and fix the timing chain well, I believe if not stretched no need to buy another.

Change gasket and buy 8L of oil, they shouldn't use black oil to start the car after coupling everything. 4L to first start the car and warm it up then the extra 4L to drain and refill again to guard against impurities in the engine (metal fillings)

Don't faya grin the engine pass 2k rpm and for the 1st 1k km change oil totally.

The engine should still last more than a year if you use it judiciously and don't buy all those low quality oil, stick to total quartz 5000 20w50 or Mobil xhp 20w50.

That engine is bullet proof

NOTE if the crankshaft and camshaft sensor you bought are bad, engine won't start but the timing chain is the most headache quack mechanics would face, if they don't set it well engine would crank and not start.

Thanks for your advice too.
God bless u

Most cases, when the plugs are soaked with oil, it cut off spark for ignition process to take it's cycle. A car could manage to start if 1 out of 4 it's entire 4 plugs got soaked with oil. But when 2 or 3 plugs are wet at a time, this might prevent your car from starting.

Get your mechanic to check all the plugs and clean them up and blow the plug chamber by starting the car and leave the plug point open. He should do this for each of the plug port while having 3 other plugs fixed to start the engine.

This will flush off all the oil that has deposited on the top cylinder and the engine will be relieved.

Pls can I know ur location and possibly your phone ps

Where is your location ?
The problem is with the oil switch . Flush that engine and go back to your Mobil...
The engine will be fine. Get a good mechanic to look at why is not starting . Let them check the electrical component and kick component. A good mechanic should get that car running.

God bless u my brother

As rightly said by your mechanic, ringing will only last you for a couple of months and you would discover you have wasted the money spent on ringing and the car is back to its weed smoking state (laughs).

As a maintenance person, this are my cost saving advice for you.

Automobile engines has components which is not possible to go bad all at a time. The most like problem with smoking engine is either failed rings or worn engine blocks.

Most of those new engines sold around in the name of 'standard engine' have probably been opened and fixed the component having issues in them.

If you engine has not been worked on before, get your mechanic to open it and confirm condition of the engine block, the Crown shaft metal, the crown shaft itself and rings. If you have some maintenance OT, mere looking through the engine block down through the pistons, you would see if there are gaps between the piston and the block, which sometimes makes the rings visible, when this happens, it means the engine block is worn and easily give gaps for oil to pump up to the top of the engine.

If you confirm your engine block is worn but the crown shaft and the metal are still in a sound condition after opening the engine, dont panic, simply tell a good mechanic to get you a good engine block, I actually dont know the model of your car, but this is applicable to all automobile engines including some heavy duty generators.

How to know a sound engine block
Look thoroughly through the inner wall of the engine block and observe some lining that looks like pattern inside the engine block. You may not be able to know by rubbing hands through the inner walls of the engine block, but a lay man can spot the inner lining im talking about. A good engine block must not have scratches or rough inner layer..

For most Toyota engines, the engine block, the crown shaft and crown shaft metal, piston and good rings are the secret of the entire thing called engine.

All these can be reconfigured and give your car an excellent performance just like it was when u bought it newly.

I dont know the make of your car, so I cant tell your engine block price range.

Wow, can't thank u enough,
1... since I bought it Nigerian used last year I do observe it's engine top oily ... MY mech first said it was nothing but later told me it's the oil seal & he changed it.

2 .. right until the day of it's pack up ... MY CAR engine always sounds good & everyone have always have good recommendations of it .. I do feel confident of it even when travelling a long distance. E.g. I was in Benin last week & my only problem is the oil shortage when ever I use it, near or far.

3 .. car is Nissan almera tino 2002.
Thanks a tonne

How do you intend to get help when what u only posted is the car engine .. we don't even know the make and model.

If you get a good mechanic , it can be ringed with good material and it will serve you better. But the best option is to replace the engine . You can sell the old engine to cover some expenses involved .ie labour and oil.

Meanwhile , add engine flush to the engine . Allow engine run for 10 mins ..drain every oil out of it . Visit a total or mobile filling station to buy oil from them . For total try quaz 5000 and for mobile try hxp1000 ....I am not total sure of the mobile . Both oil ate good oil . ..don't just buy fake oil and expect your car not to smoke.

Thanks so very much for your attention, the car is almera tino 2002 brand.

As for d run & drain advice... the car is not even starting for now. Any suggestions?

Also I was always using mobile super 1000x1 20w-50 oil up until last month that I had to switch to almasco because of the bill of buy 9k Mobil oil every week. By the time I switched to almasco it already deteriorated to one gallon oil in three days.

I observed my car started smoking and shortens oil about a month ago. After servicing I thought it Wil be fine but nay it got even worse. As at last week it went down to consuming a 4litre of oil in three days.

So my mech said engine wears and ringing it could be best option until I'm ready to buy a new engine.

So I approached another (reliable) mechanics for comparative opinion. Then he told me ringing engine is only good for a short time& in essence a waste of time money & resources.

So he advice I better look for money to get another engine.

So he suggested I add oil treatments & STOP SMOKE to the oil that it will reduce d SMOKE & shortage for now. So I did with my last kobo.

Just about 20km from his workshop (on my way home) d car started jerking badly. Called him & he Said I should check fuel filter since fuel pump is new.

Got home & took it to another mech around & d sad news was broken . The STOP SMOKE treatment worsen d engine conditions.

The new mechanics suggest I just have to get another engine.
MY DILEMMA
#I tested it yesterday & d jerking was worse & it begin to STOP/ off while driving.
# tried it this morning & it's not even starting at all. Though engine roll & all lights on.
#I am stranded now as it's this car been putting food on my table
# I make a weekly contributions from it & that's on halt now, don't even know how to go about that ... (though next three weeks is my turn & it solve halve of the engine prob)
# my wife is eight months down & we need to start arranging for baby stuffs & delivery session ( d car is our only source & d weekly contributions was our initial plan for this)
# my two days at home helplessly is already devastating.
# car guru pls what can I do ?
#how much is d likely price for d engine , even though I don't know how to source the fund yet?

Pls all suggestions & ideas are welcome. I'm depressed.
