Why Don't We Discuss Our Post-NYSC Plans? Options/Choices/Reasons And What/Where We Are Headed. I Believe This House Affords Us The Chance To Benefit From The Experience/Knowledge Of Housemates, In Planning And Strategising For The Future. It Should Also Enhance Smooth Progression To The Next "Thing" Immediately After The Service Year, Since The Options Would Have Been Well Thought Out.
I Look Forward To Your Opinions.

Sincerely, the future looks blurry but bright τ̅☺ me. Blurry because I don't know what it holds and bright because I know I'll give it what it takes τ̅☺ make it a good one. All in all, I believe God's plans will prevail.
However, if I'm not going τ̅☺ be a sole proprietor, managing what I haven't decided on yet, I'll love τ̅☺ work in a challenging environment that will bring out the best in me, not any institution where I'll have ample time τ̅☺ be lazying around.
All in all, I believe the future holds a fortune for me, just waiting for me τ̅☺ grab it.

Right ab initio, I've always wanted to be part of the military but never had the chance...That's why I'm still looking forward to it after NYSC, you know, short service things...Its my primary aim for now...

On the other hand, post-grad schooling is still there...University of Ibadan on my mind...

And yes, after spending all these days on the farm....I've fallen so much in love with it...Been thinking, instead of working on my dad's, what if I can have my own farm??...I can run it alongside my masters & whatever I might be involved in after NYSC...Of kois, it requires funding...I'll start with the little I have...

The last thing I hope for is to start reading newspapers, submitting CVs & waiting for interview calls...I must be able to do something productively worthwhile...

But above all, we know man proposes & GOD disposes...I surrender all into HIS hands....

SBabaJ: In School, My Dream Was To Become A Professor Before Age 35. After The Results Were Released, I Started The Search For Schools That Would Take Me In For A Straight PhD.
During My Sojourn Away From House2 However, GOD Opened My Eyes To See That That Wasn't What I Desired. Again, It Was Just My Padre's Wish.
Now, By GOD's Grace, I'll Get A Reputable 1 Year Msc (MGT) After NYSC, And Build A Career In Management.

Osota: After NYSC, my plan is to go for my masters, get a masters degree in advertising, if possible, work a little abroad, and come back home and start my own ad company someday. Pray it works out. God may just be laughing up there saying "boy, you must be joking, i have greater things in mind for you".

princessmia: after nysc, I would like to go for my Msc in food n nutrition or pharmacology. It'll help build me n create a strong career for myself and my family.

Hmmmmm!...For me, i have already started my post-nysc sojourn...I presently work in a good company in Lag as a Desktop/Network administrator as a contract Staff (may be i shouldn't be saying this here), NYSC will help me in gaining full employment where i walk presently, so the issue of employment is solved...Talking about being independent, i wouldn't want to work for an organisation for long (max 10Yrs), after which i will be independent...So, in order to be independent, i thought of saving whatever i get from my service year, since i already have a source of income...I intend to add up whatever i get from my service year with part of my income, and maybe get little support from friends, relatives or loan...All funds will be used i establishing a small bizz venture for myself while i continue with my professional work...That having been sorted, i also intend to upgrade academically, since i am in a professional field, i intend to take two professional certifications in the 1st and last quarter of next year, while i will also make sure i get my PGD in the same year...On a long run, i don't want to continue in the I.T Field, since i majored in Lib&Info Science and i have always had a flair for Law, i intend starting a degree course in Law in the Next two years with any School that will admit me into 200 level...With law i intend to get to the pinnacle of what is obtainable in academics...not forgetting to mention that i intend to settle down soonest, when i mean soonest, i mean between now and in the next two years...Whao!...So much to achieve within a short while...na wa o!...Oluwa dey sha!
