any update as to the status of the jamb website? i have not gone there for 5 days and i need a go ahead from the tech gurus if all is well with the site before i go near there today!!!

Good talk Goldenray,  The exams are still a far cry away hence no need for any form of apprehension by anybody, both students and business owners.

I have also observed that the designers of the website are working round the clock to see a smooth registration exercise happen.

Concerning the internet speed, i agree with you. The file size of the scanned thumbprints is usually in the neighborhood of 450kb-500kb and that's a sizable data size for weak upload links.

The jamb portal is still very slow and something you must all know is that you actually require a huge upload speed to achieve great results. These cheap finger print scanners always return large minutae files as high as 500kb for u to upload as a combined finger print combination for a candidate, Naija developers should read and research more to ease frustration on the candidate's and provider's end, well, if they used high end scanners, maybe nobody would be on this forum talking about dificulties in scanning fingers!!
