PoliticsNnamdi Kanu Is Buhari’s First Political Prisoner – Igbo World Assembly by cybertyrant(op): 2:13am On Oct 24, 2015
Igbo World Assembly (IWA), has called on the Federal Government to immediately and unconditionally release the Director, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The group said events had shown that Kani is the first political prisoner of the present government.

IWA is the apex global umbrella organization that represents the apex national Igbo organizations outside Nigeria in the various countries of the world.

A statement jointly signed by IWA Chairman, Dr Nwachukwu Anakwenze, and Oliver Nwankwor, Secretary General, stated that Kanu was part of the Mass Media and should not be arrested or detained because of expressed opinions.

The group also stated that freedom of speech was guaranteed by Section 22 and Section 39 of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution as amended and such right is also enshrined in the Geneva Convention Universal Human Right Declaration Article 19 when it stated: “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression.”

“Radio Biafra of which Nnamdi Kanu serves as the Managing Editor is part of the Mass Media and should not be arrested or detained because of their expressed opinions. The detention and harassment of Kanu is an affront to a free press and speech of all Nigerians.

“Suppressing press freedom is something many Nigerians associated with the dictatorship of the military rule in the past. All Igbo and indeed all Nigerians should defend press freedom and the right of Radio Biafra to express its views on Nigeria publicly. Ndigbo must not be subjected to a different treatment from other Nigerians.

“This incessant harassment and in some cases killing of members of Igbo organizations must be put to an end. MASSOB or Radio Biafra have not picked up arms against or challenged the Nigerian Government by force.

“Arrests and harassment of Igbo leaders is sending a wrong signal and message to young and newer generation of Ndigbo under 45 who did not witness the genocide and war against people in the South East.

“Peaceful freedom movements are going on in Western Cameroon, Scotland; Quebec in Canada, or in Texas, in the United States and nobody has been arrested or detained by the governments of these countries”, IWA noted.

IWA urged Nigerians to join in the campaign to restore freedom of speech and movement in Nigeria which has been abridged by the arrest and detention of Kanu.

“Nigeria cannot go back to violations of freedom of speech and press as witnessed in the past under military regime,” it added.

Did Nostradamus see biafra?

The rising and setting of the sun is an unbroken ordinance of God: no one can prevent the sun from running its course. For, the sun is like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat (Psalm 19: 5-6).

So, will the Rising Sun of Biafra, which many a Nigerian military dictator gleefully declared as being set forever, rise again? Is the Rising Sun of Biafra breaking upon the Trigger of the African Continent? “The Sun rises and the sun sets, then hurries around to rise again” (Ecclesiastes 1:5). Did the man who was reputed to have “Seen tomorrow” see the Sun of Biafra rising?

A piece of information volunteered by one Mr. Francis Anyibe through his e-mail address, franco76@onebox.com, indicates that Nostradamus actually saw the Rising Sun of Biafra.

Read his mail: “If you are among those who presume that the Rising Sun of Biafra is set forever, you better had a rethink. Reason? A perceptive exploration of the predictions and prophecies of “the man who saw tomorrow”, Nostradamus, revealed a marvelous prophetic inevitability of Biafra as a sovereign, strong, separate nation. Nostradamus, the 16th century famed Jewish- French doctor predicted over 400 years back, that “A Powerful Prince will arise in the world at the Trigger of the Gun. He will be the envy of other princes. . They (the other princes) will try to subdue his rise but all will be a failure.

“An insight into this prediction reveals that the Trigger of the Gun is at the position of the yet-to-be-actualized Biafran Republic, and that Nostradamus’ Powerful Prince will come from this gestate republic---Biafra. It is noteworthy to recall that at the discovery of the African Continent, the name initially given to it was “The Gun”, because of its semblance to the shape of a gun.

“Looking at the map of Africa, Biafra (bordered and deriving its name from the Bight of Biafra) is at the position of the Trigger of the African Gun – geographically speaking. It then follows that the Nastradamus’ predicted-powerful Prince will come from Biafraland.

“And how can that Prince arise without a sovereign Biafran State in place? What this translates into is that a sovereign Biafra is inevitable. It is as certain as “day following night,” Mr. Anyibe concluded

One proven fact about Nostradamus’ predictions and prophecies is they hardly fail. He prophesied the coming of the first and second presumed anti-Christs – Napoleon and Hitler. He equally “saw” the Arabian prince wearing a blue turban who became a terror unto Europe and America – Osama Bin laden. This came to past equally. So, could it be that the Rising Sun of the Christian Democratic Republic of Biafra (CDRB)/(IPOB)Indigenous people of Biafra, breaking upon us? Is the Christian Democratic Republic of Biafra (CDRB) /indigenous people of biafra(IPOB)actually the Trigger of the geographical Gun called Africa? We shall see!Christian Democratic Republic of Biafra [CDRB];/IPOB-Indigenous people of Biafra nation designed in Heaven; chosen for world mission

Everyday the leader of IPOB is getting popular everyday and his 5year old radio is quaking nigeria and done what other freedom groups hasnt done, bringing freedom fighting to a new dimension

Biafra world mission is mainly for the poor oppressed negros in africa and beyond

The envy of other princes to pull him down, his former girlfriend he quit might has been paid by those princes to spoil his reputation but am seeing otherwise to tell u the prophecy is TRUE and its already coming to pass more than u think

PoliticsRe: My Position On The Nnamdi Kanu-led IPOB Biafra Struggle by cybertyrant(m): 1:25pm On Oct 22, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
After the announcement of the result of March 28 Presidential election, I recall vividly how some of us brought about the idea of a collective unity of interest and purpose between the South-South and South East geopolitical zones within the Nigeria State. I remember calling for a restructured Nigeria that will promote the interests of all citizens irrespective of ethnic group. I also remember saying that in absence of that, a referendum be held among citizens to determine whether the people of the South South and South East prefer the present Nigeria structure that favours no one over a separate sovereign State, the Lower Niger Congress/Federation that will favor citizens of the region, and also define the right, interest and terms that is acceptable to all ethnic nationalities that make up the 'federation'. I remember maintaining that this struggle should not be seen as confrontation with other groups and regions but must be confined in the most legitimate manner. It should be one that promote the legitimate interest of the SSSE and not one that set the SS/SE against other regions. This remains my position!

Let me state that the struggle for a better Nigeria that promotes good governance, equity and fairness irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation remains my primary objective. The LNF is meant to be an alternative where the hope for restructured Nigeria diminishes. Though some of my brothers either prefer a united Niger Delta Republic or an exclusive indivisible Nigeria. That however, will be determined by a referendum should there be any. I, shall however align myself with the position of my people.

The IPOB Struggle Not Our Interest
The Mr Kanu-led IPOB struggle for an independent Biafra is not in conforminity with legitimate struggle for TWO basic reasons:

1. It promotes hate and violence against the State, other ethnic groups and also against members of Igbo ethnic nationality that does not share the Biafran ideology as preached by Kanu and his IPOB crew. Violence was never part of the UN charter on self-determination

2. The ethnic Nationalities in the Niger-Delta are yet to enter into any agreement with anybody as regard the composition, structure or otherwise of the IPOB proposed country. We are already facing a challenge in Nigeria where our forebearers in their wisdom failed to define terms of our unity as a country. In fact, we are working on correcting these anomalies legitimately.

In addition to the above, I find it disrespectful and insulting on the sensibilities of the Ijaws(Okrikans) and the Ikwerres over claim by some IPOB promoters that Portharcourt belongs to the Igbos and they will "reclaim" it. Unfortunately, no promoter of the IPOB struggle has stated otherwise. For the record, the status of Portharcourt as the exclusive ownership of the Okrikans(PH South) and the Ikwerres is non-negotiable. Specifically, not a single inch of Okrika and other Ijaw land, whether in PH or anywhere else will be surrendered to anyone under any guise.

I recognise and respect the right of everyone to self-determination but I have to state that the Kanu-led IPOB ideology is not what my people desire. I also respect the right of our Igbo brothers to their own interest but I disagree with call for violence as propagated by members of IPOB.

I remain committed to the interest of the Ijaw nation, the Niger-Delta region and also that of every good citizens of the Nigeria State whether Igbo, Yoruba, Berom, Fulani, Igala, Idoma etc.

May God Lead Us Right and Bless Nigeria

PoliticsIPOB Russia Calls World To Stand Up Against Injustice On Biafra -trumpetngr by cybertyrant(op): 4:00am On Oct 22, 2015
The Indigenous People of Biafra in Russia (IPOB-Russia), here registered writes to express our shock about the arrest in Nigeria of our worldwide leader Nnamdi Kanu, the director of radio Biafra.

We ask that world leaders must stand up to its integrity, pride, and in defense of the law they made. In keeping of the UN chatter
on the rights of indigenous people has endangered the leader of indigenous people of Biafra.

It’s in record that Nnamdi kanu is a law abiding leader who has disciplined indigenous people of Biafra to strictly abide by local and international law, the gut for his arrest is nothing but slap on the face of UNITED NATIONS.

Meanwhile, this is a gross provocation of indigenous people of Biafra and as endangered people would only wait shortly for due process and immediate release of her leader.

The world should know that arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the making of monster in
indigenous people of Biafra and to prevent and save lives must world leaders stand up to their responsibility.

Biafrans as endangered species of terror, genocide, murder and unlawful detentions must be sorted or laws will be taken into their hands. Biafrans call on world leaders to prevail on lawless Buhari to with immediate effect release the leader of the people as he is charged with no crime.

Indigenous people of Biafra had never been associated with any bombing or killing as boko haram or ISIS neither are they terrorists or unlawful people.

World leaders must not allow freedom of speech to be trampled upon and defenseless
people killed and incarcerated.

Biafrans call for immediate release of their leader as this is a continuation of the genocidal acts against them. Pushing a people to the wall will only force atomic reaction and no time will death of justice help the conscience of man.

The immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will show commitments at preservation of justice. Safety, supremacy of law and also is the only way to avoid the second genocide of Biafrans as we will gladly embrace death and mayhem for this cause.

PoliticsNnamdi Kanu: IPOB Takes Protest To Amnesty Int’l-vanguardngr by cybertyrant(op): 3:32am On Oct 22, 2015
Following the alleged assault by security operatives on some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who protested yesterday, in parts of the country, calling for the immediate release of the controversial Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Vanguard gathered on Wednesday, that the separatist movement has sent a petition to Amnesty International (AI).

One of the protesters allegedly injured by security operatives during Tuesday’s protest by members of IPOB, in Awka, the Anambra state capital.
Kanu, was arrested in Lagos, last Saturday, by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), when he arrived Nigeria from his United Kingdom base.
Irked by his continued detention, thousands of his supporters comprising women and youths protested across parts of Rivers, Delta, Enugu, Abia and Anambra States, calling for his immediate release by the Nigerian authorities.
A source who pleaded anonymity, told Vanguard that members of IPOB stormed the India office of Amnesty International on 4th Floor, Statesman House, Connaught Place, Barakhamba, New Delhi, Delhi, to present pictorial and video evidence of alleged assaults by security operatives on protesting women, particularly in Awka, the Anambra state capital.
Recall that Vanguard earlier reported that Kanu had been granted bail by the Abuja Municipal Council Magistrate court.
He was secretly arraigned there by the DSS.
He was said to have yet to fulfill his bail conditions.
IBOP lawyer, Mr. Egechukwu Obetta told Vanguard that, “Nnamdi was put in the same cell with terrorists. He has a health challenge which is life threatening. He is sensitive to delicacies. He told us that he will never eat any food served by the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
However, midway into Vanguard’s chat with the lawyer, a call came in, indicating that Kanu has been granted bail in the sum of N2 million or with surety of N2 million with a civil servant of grade level 16.
“The DSS secretly arraigned him before the magistrate’s court and he was granted bail. He is, however, yet to meet the bail conditions and that has made them to still hold him in detention,” said Obetta.
Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, there were strong indication that Mr. Kanu was still detained by Nigeria’s secret police in an undisclosed dungeon.
This is even as members of IPOB have taken their protests to Nigerian embassies in countries such as Morocco, India, Hong Kong among others.

ASABA-PROTESTERS, Tuesday, stormed the entrance of Delta State Government House, Asaba condemning the arrest and detention of the Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.

Gathered under the aegis of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Delta State chapter, the protesters, mainly women, demanded the immediate release of Kanu, describing his arrest as uncalled for and totally unacceptable.

Chanting songs of grievances and displaying placards which bore various inscriptions such as “Freedom for Biafra, free Nnamdi Kanu”, “We are not terrorists, we are freedom fighters”, “We are tired of intimidation and harassment by Nigeria Government”, “Biafra on the move” amongst others, the protesters said they were no longer comfortable with the Nigerian government.
Speaking during the protest, Secretary of IPOB, Delta State chapter Nnenna Nwaoha, said: “The reason for the protest is for Nnamdi Kanu to be released; we have suffered enough in the hands of the Nigerian Government and we are no more comfortable with it.

“We want our freedom that is why we are here. We are not comfortable with the Nigerian government, the intimidation, killing and all that; that is why we want our freedom. We feel very bad about his detention and it is affecting each and every one of us. We are not comfortable, we want to go.

“The federal government should release our Director, Dr. Nnamdi Kanu and we also want our freedom. As a nation that is due for freedom, we want to go; we are tired; the suffering is too much; it is not a crime to want our freedom; we want to go.”

Also speaking, Chineye Udeoba expressed bitterness at the detention of Kanu, saying “we are bitter and we are giving them a strict warning and order to release him.

“We are not Nigerians, we are Biafrans. My father is seventy-two years old and he is older than Nigeria. He is a Biafrian, I am a Biafran and we all here are Biafrans. We the indigenous people of Biafra are ready to go. We want to be on our own.

“The British came and amalgamated us with these Oduduwa and Arewa people, we are not one; we were never one, we are totally different in terms of tradition; we are Biafrans. We want to be on our own as indigenous people of Biafra. We want our freedom.

On her part, Mrs. Judith Ihebiehi said: “This man is our voice, he is our mentor. We have been in darkness all these while, so this man has been speaking for us, so the Nigerian government has no right to detain him; he has done nothing.

“Have they ever asked themselves if what this man has been saying is false? Have they bothered to verify what Nnamdi Kanu has been saying? So detaining Nnamdi Kanu will bring problems; we have been calming our husbands down, we have been saying ‘wait’ we women will go to the government, we will talk to them and say this is what we want; we don’t want problem that is why we are here.

“Our reason of coming here is to tell the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to help us take our message to the federal government. He is not the one detaining him but we are here to tell him to take it to Abuja.” The protesters were however, denied entry into the Government House by police officers

Angry women in Emure Ekiti have protested against the arrest of over 30 of their children by the Police in connection with the alleged attempt to burn the palace of Elemure of Emure Ekiti, Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Poilce and ex-Commissioner of Police in Lagos and Abuja.
The Punch gathered that the women, some of whom appeared half-naked on Wednesday, held leaves and sang hate songs against the monarch, demanding the release of their children.
Trouble started last Monday, when a group of angry youths of the community took to the streets to protest against power cut by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company.
They also complained against disruption of banking service from the only bank in the community for over seven months.
A resident, Olaoye Olayinka, said efforts by Oba Adebayo to stop the protest was met with stiff resistance by the angry youths who blocked the two entry points to the town.
“For the past seven months, we hardly have light 5 times in a month, and when they bring it, it was only in the mid-night when we would be asleep.
“Why this bad treatment from the electricity firm is so painful is because, of all Ekiti communities, Emure pays the highest bill, you can go find out about this. But still we are not enjoying the benefit, instead we are getting crazy bills for very bad service.
“The electricity firm slams us with N8,000, N6,000, N7,000 bills for each household, and for the artisans who are just welders, each of them get N15,000 a month. It’s ridiculous. And we have warned the boys coming to cut the power supply anytime they feel like,” Olayinka said.
The Commissioner of Police, Taiwo Lakanu, had told journalists that the youths were arrested for attempting to burn the king’s palace and for attacking the police station in the town.

“The Emure people protested against BEDC for disconnecting their light. What we disagreed with was the mode of protest. They became very violent; attacked the palace and the Police Station. We moved in and succeeded in quelling the violence. The area is calm now.

“We are screening those arrested and we have released some of them on bail. We are also looking at the case of arson which is not bailable because the palace was nearly set on fire.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Alberto Adeyemi, told our correspondent on Sunday that those arrested had been released except five of them still under investigation.

“The remaining five are at the State Criminal Investigation Department assisting police in the investigation. They would be charged to court if found culpable depending on their level of involvement.”
