Stanbic equity and gt equity are both on good profit but not as much as CS.

The week started on a positive note. Tomorrow might be green, but Spartacus will give us a thumbs up from Wednesday to Friday.

CS have been performing wonders in equity investment this month. I think I'm tempted to join the winning team

Gt equity red massive Red today

Stanbic also recorded Little green today. Far more better than Monday green. Up to 15% of Tuesday and Wednesday loses combined. I pray for a better green tomorrow

Zedcrest was on profit yesterday.

I get my update from blunest in my stanbic ibtc app. Once I login click investment. If the unit price increases from what it was before means profit if it decrease means looses. The unit it use to either increase or decrease multiply by the units of equity u hold will give the amount of profit made or the amount of losses.

I think he gets the idea from the stock market performance for the day.....

When one has an idea of the major holdings in an equity.....the person can accurately guess their fund performance.....

My thought too. Just to imagine I top up huge amount last week. Gt equity also red but not as huge as stanbic.

Looking like this Stanbic portfolio gets huge hits anytime the market goes south. Their decline is always larger than similar equity funds.

How is gt equity fund performance like. Is it worth investing on. For those already subcribe to it is the green daya more than the Red daya. And How long does it take for deposit to reflect.

I have said this previously, GT equity doesn't update same day. Yesterday's return will reflect today.

Is it only fixed income that pays dividend?

I used to think Equity fund investor also get paid dividend.

I’m telling you. Funny enough their YTD returns has not been adjusted to reflect the reds. All these FMs, even when market dips, their headline YTD returns remains where it is lol. They are magicians.

Now i know why fixed income pays dividends. It’s to compensate for the likely dips which may affect your capital even. When it falls, it falls harder than equity with slower recovery than equity

Don't go with a high expectation for now. The market is bearish for now.

It has bonds in it; however, it brings huge profit. My 200k brings around 3400 naira on a sluggish day, and if the market is bullish, I see around 8-10k.

It will reflect before their closing hour today. Stay calm u have nothing to be worried about.

Please, I subscribed to Stanbic Equity Yesterday but till this moment I have not seen any balance or equity investment activities on my portfolio. Anybody who's into them should kindly enlighten on how their system works, why my Equity fund investment isn't showing any activities or movement.

Thanks for the feedback because i started Stanbic equity fund last week Friday. With Tuesday profit alone it covered for the looses I recorded. Let's enjoy the ride as we look forward for massive profit today.

It only topped 500k yesterday (Thursday 19/02) after trading please...

There was no RED since Tuesday but marginal GREEN.....2k, 3k.... It did 10k yesterday and balanced up...

Are you sure it's Stanbic equity fund you subscribed to that haven't gotten back to initial 500k u invested? because Stanbic equity have been doing great this week

I lost about 6k+ in Stanbic Imaan (500k) when I first deposited(494k reflected in my portfolio)

.... after that days trading it yielded about 19k .... effectively balancing it (512k)

Lost more in equity same 500k investment and 493k reflected....I haven't gotten back to 500k yet...

In cowrywise.....I experienced same with Afrivest.....the funds land incomplete

Disregard balanced fund, it's a waste of time.

Either do straight up Equity mutual funds or compound money with MMF or just do fixed income.


Balance fund is a mixed of fixed income and Equity, it's a waste of time because, In Fixed income, while you get steady returns (eventhough small) and can top up to get more, your capital remains intact and preserved while you enjoy the daily returns but if it were to be balanced fund, that regular dip would make you lose that potential fixed income returns for that day you see red.

So do straight up Equity to enjoy purely days of Green and accept fate on days of red and do straight up fixed income for constant little returns eventhough I advice to invest big money to see tangible returns.

Ditch balanced fund, it only favors fund managers more than you.

The biggest misconception about Japa is the idea that you must spend millions. It is not. You can have millions to show on your bank statement, but you don't have to spend millions. It may just happen that you only have to spend on the application fee, depending on the category you applied for.

Even if you have been banned from entering Europe, your status as a child, spouse, or parent of an EU citizen redeems you and invalidates the ban.

If you have any family with an EU passport, you are a lucky child. Just go and ask the embassy for your visa.

But if you do not have an EU relative, then go through school. Don't go as a visitor, you will suffer eh? As a student, you just buy time for yourself like two years or more (depending on degree length, so you can know your way around, and find a legal route to make your stay permanent.
