Aggressive and confrontational style of rap... You don't have them much anymore even in the States They are less popular and mostly underground unlike in the 90's/ Early 2000's when they dominated. A lot of rappers are just that. Hardcore is a special breed. Phyno isn't even a real rapper. He showed me that in 2018 when he let wale lyrically murder him on his own track N.W.A ... He resorted to singing. Now don't get me wrong Phyno is good with rapping in his dialect in fact I love him as a rapper but don't ever mistake that style for hardcore.
Even Olamide couldn't hold it down with I forgot the rapper but he tried to hold his own with wale I forgotten the track too I think back in 2014 or so... MI is a bad ass rapper no doubt but not hardcore Vector is madder too but not really hardcore No... They are all very good rappers too. In naija the only true hardcore I see now is just Illbliss like I said previously the rest are just singers who rap and normal rappers too which is good cos hardcore style isn't for everyone... Oh yeah Suspect is another hardcore too. Even Eva Alordia was more hardcore than a lot of these rappers of today...Abeg do ur research and learn about rap music/hip hop if u love it.
