O'level = 50points; Jamb Score = 50points.

So, for ur utme, divide it by 8. E.g suppose you scored 288, it'll be 288/8 =36. That means out of 50points accruable to utme, you've secured 36.

For O'level. This is how it goes:

A1=6points
B2=5points
B3=4points
C4=3points
C5=2points
C6=1points

So, let's say your result looks like this

Maths B2 (that's 5points)
English C4 (that's 3points)
Physics A1 (that's 6points)
Biology B3 (that's 4points)
Chemistry A1 (that's 6points)

Summing the points together, you have 5+3+6+4+6 =24 (out of possible 30)

It'll now be:

24/30*50 = 40. (It means for O'level, you've secured 40 out of possible 50).

Putting the two together, you have

40+36 =76.
So, your aggregate is 76.

You'll realise that though the grades and scores are impressive, a candidate who had this last year would not secure admission to UI, UNILAG or OAU medicine. And that's the import of my post. With huge scores this year, the cut-off may even be higher.

Last year, the cut-off mark for U.I medicine was 76.76 and not 71 as you opine above. Unilag placed theirs at 80 points. The two schools used the 50/50 idea. But then, I agree with your submission. It's better to be sure of one's aggregate now and then take the right step

Bro if it was like two years ago, I would have confidently told you yes.. But with this their rigours of screening, I can't give you a sure answer...

Search online for the FUTO's marking scheme for their last year screening, I once had it cos my bro applied there last year but I've lost it...

If you get the scheme, use it to mark yours and know if you're above the cut off of comp sci in that school... I believe that if screening would still be used this year, then there would be little or no modifications to the marking scheme and cut off marks...

I am watching designated survivor too,and to me its intriguing to see how the white house is run from a day to day basis from the president perspective.

But the reasons for the low ratings is because the people living in USA saw many flaws in it.

Just like many of us see flaws in Nollywood movies, but flaws or errors or not Nigerians living abroad who miss home will watch any flawed Nollywood movie., so as to know about what's going on back home.


As long as we still dey this country any Hollywood movie will seem interesting to us, but when you have watched a lot and also read the views of many people living abroad theb you get the perspective.
