This whole thing has NOTHING to do wt gtbank. They arrested him based on a pending fraud case he has with efcc. THhe case is all about shipping fraud. You can google it.

The reason y Gtbank was dragged into it was simply because Innoson had a case with custom where they auctioned out one of his containers for no reason, and they were asked to pay him 2b+ he was given a garnishee order to be paid by Gtbank. They refused to pay and then said he forged shipping documents to enjoy tax benefits and evade insurance ish. EFCC were asked to bring their register, which they claimed got burnt by fire.
I hv been following up the case sir, and all I can see is a bigger corporation using their resources to muscle a smaller corporation. He even addressed all these in an interview with TVC, and none of them hv refuted his comments.
Since the matter is still on court, we can safely say, all these are alleged, until the court proves otherwise. And so far EFCC and Gtbank hv been in the other end.

When it comes to money, their eyes go dey shine like say na only dem need money. Rubbish!

Pls comprehend matters before making conclusion. He claimed he was overcharged by Gtbank (about 700m+) and called the notice of Gtbank to it after he did an audit to his account. Gtbank looked at the books and said he was wrongfully charged about 500m+. He requested for his money back with a 22% interest (which was the percentage the bank gave him as interest on loan) but the bank said they can only give him a 7% interest on the 500m+. Since they couldn't reach common ground, Innoson charged them to high court, and won. In fact the verdict was they pay him 2b+ Gtbank not satisfied went to appeal court and lost again, making it increase to 4b+ so they went to the Supreme Court.
He didn't loan the bank any money, he was overcharged and that's his right, let's not be sentimental here, this is cooperate corporate fraud, and if we tribalise this issue, I pity corporate governance in Nigerian. No wonder investors are running out.
I can't begin to imagine how many people banks have defrauded all in the name of excess bank charges which are undue, and they would claim YoY profit on excess.

Compare him to .David mark who visited just two days ago and was granted administrative bail by the EFCC....no fuss no noise.... But him, he wants to draw sympathy from his overly emotional brothers by resisting arrest...
