Poems For ReviewOde- Things Have Fallen Apart (in Memory Of Chinua Achebe) by DaDevin(op): 3:33pm On Jun 04, 2013
Silence a tool for fools
Yet it fell apart upon foolish fools
Did Thou not see tomorrow?
Did thou not speak of greaver sorrow?
How your words fell upon the deaf
Before your eyes, things fell apart
Things you saw and presented in art

You saw greed, you saw envy, you saw lust
you saw as they beclouded as dust
You saw them all as one never apart
Things you saw before it fell apart
For all is one - corruption
Things has fallen apart
Even unto your death it stood apart

Poems For ReviewForget Me Not by DaDevin(op): 2:17pm On Jun 04, 2013
Remember me not just in memories
My dearly beloved, companion and friend
The sweet one that has brightened me sky
My shoulder i shall gladly lend
When life bitters and you cry
Whilst your days are but sweet
Heart of mine is joyed
Forget me not
Ne'er would I
Dear love
Ne'er
@Donkelsss

P.S: To those who made my sky bright, to my family, to those i love, to the few i have called friend... To ma course-mate in Covenant university class of 2013 banking and finance,And to all those who have left a stamp on my heart, i say " Forget me not"

LiteratureLuck Or Dead Clock? by DaDevin(op): 2:06pm On Jun 04, 2013
The bus had left Oni Park for hours now, Jeje awaken from his sleep due to the troubling noise of the baby sitting on its mother’s laps beside him. “Sorry sir” the woman said trying her best to comfort the crying baby. With a smile, Jeje held the hands of the mild baby and as if miraculously; it stopped and started to giggle.
“A fine child” he said gazing at the mother “I think he likes you” she responded.
“My wife is also going to have a child, I pray it’s a boy” he said with a worried look as he faced the window. She wanted to continue the conversation, but his sudden look made her keep her calm.
His worry continued as he gaze was fixated on the trees, Jeje’s wife was due a week ago, but he had no money for antenatal care, in fact, he was chased out of his house weeks ago because he hadn’t paid his rent for six months. Today, he was journeying home from his brother’s place who had given him money. His hope was that the baby would await his return before he comes into the world.
“Your money or your life” A masked man said pointing a gun towards a woman “Chineke mo!” she screamed. A shot was fired by another masked man thus consuming noise to fear.
Two other men stood carrying guns and wearing mask alike “If you love your life, cooperate, and you live” one said as he walked to and fro the bus. “Everybody hold your money, bags, chains, gold, and wallet up”
“No, not now” Jeje whispered as tears flowed from his eyes “Please sir, this money is for my pregnant wife’s delivery please” He tried explaining to the nearest masked man, but a blow to his head sent him sinking back to his seat. Minutes passed, and the masked men not satisfied with their spoil asked all women to remove their wrappers to be sure they hid nothing.
“This is wickedness, just take what you have and leave us alone biko, don’t shame these women” An old man said “Shut up you old thing, or do you want to die?” inquired the leader
Within minutes, it got to the turn of the woman beside Jeje “Please carry him for me sir” He held the child who was crying already. As she stood to open her wrapper, there was a sudden noise from the back tire, leading to a slight turbulence. The driver trying to gain control of the situation matched the break thus making the bus tumble crashing into the bush. Jeje clouded with confusion turned to only see the masked man lying on a pool of his blood, another was also dead. The other two seeing this jumped from a broken window into the bush with the bag of money.
The child as though aware of the situation was gripped Jeje hands. Jeje looked by his side and became engulfed with fear for the child’s mother laid dead as an iron rod has pierced through her head.
“Come out quickly” the old man shouted to those still in the bus. Hearing this, Jeje holding the child made his way through the window behind. As he tried adjusting the child’s cover cloth to give it comfort, two bundle of money fell. An explosion occurred, causing a boom which kindled a fire.
Poems For ReviewNot All Is As It Seem by DaDevin(op): 1:57pm On Jun 04, 2013
How sad the face that bloom
Wistful the Rex in lace
Bitter the lovers that embrace
Ungrateful, the soul that seeks grace
So humble, the child of doom
All is as a dream
Not all is as it seem

How brothers eat with green fork
Smile- a mirage of the face
Flattery has become a common tongue
Even from the sweetest, bitterness is sprung
The purest of meat is pork
Life is as a dream,
Not all is as it seem
Poems For ReviewTender Lily by DaDevin(op):
Amidst wild roses that bloom

With colors as chameleon

You stand a gentle lily

Blooming tender without gloom

Name all my compare silly,

call me a ready stallion.

True, you are a tender lily

And my words are not for willy.

As the sun, your smile charms bright

Thy eyes twinkling as stars.

Lovely and tender thy lips,

your skin glistens and glossy right.

Your cheek with dimples as mars

Flourishing, even thy hips.

A tender lily so rare,

You stand out without compare.

Poems For ReviewMiracle by DaDevin(op):
I know a Damsel
With a smile of charm
As flower, tender without harm.
A dove at handsel,
Eyes as stars- radiant

I recall a maiden with sweet heart
Her beauty blissful to behold
From the finest of clay she was mold,
True a sublime work of art
With voice as nightingales.

For she is miracle,
Where would i find one as kind?
For her like is hard to find,
Her sight abash obstacles.
She is a gorgeous ever-blooming flower.

She enchanted my soul with love
Igniting my very desire
She to my heart is a burning fire,
For her no one i have kept above.
Sad, she is taken by another.

I admire from afar,
Should i profess my love i would be the fool
True, the flames of my heart will never cool,
For of all she is the brightest star.
Solemnly i drown with my desires
sad sad sad sad

Poems For Review. by DaDevin(op):
Lustful Desire
Love me like you would thyself,
Gaze upon my beauty each day with pride.
As shadow, let me forever be by your side.
Shower me with kisses so mild,
Hold me so fragile as you would a new child.
Call me names wonderful as day
Love me more than the mouth can say.

Long for me as i you,
Lust upon my rare view
For thy eyes have become the few.
Touch me as would a piano
And play for i wouldn't say no.
Caress my bosom making it blossom
Enter my world you have won dear handsome,

Not complete, just the first and fourth verse to be precise, Inspiration came from a friend in love who wanted to be loved beyond reasoning, A little sensual in nature, but in short terms it states how a woman wants to b loved by the one she loves.
