Let me give you a piece of advice (which you may not take)

Next time before you buy or sell funds, ask for proper identification, do your due deligence. You operate in the financial sector, do you know about KYC?

I did my due deligence, just that the scammer impersonated, hence I was accusing someone else. I did not even know you existed on this forum. Someone else pointed you out to me through your email.

I have learnt my lessons, learn yours too and work towards recovering your funds.

He even scamed someone else and sent that same account number to the person.

Buyers are protected from having to return stolen goods when the purchase was done in market overt (Check Google or ask a lawyer).

knowing the goods were stolen or not is not an issue. One thing is certain, that when a good is discovered as stolen, it will be retrieved from the buyer. And the loss is the buyers!

3. As a BDC operator, it is your duty to verify the identities of those you transact with and ascertain the source of their funds.

4. You covered up for a fraudster

5. You aided his/her possible evation of arrest

6. Obstruction of justice is a crime on it's own. For deliberately delaying to provide details of the said scammer, you are no different from him/her.

57k / $142 is small money but a crime is a crime. Whether 1,000 or 1,000,000.

The matter has been reported to the SSS @ Yenagoa and to the police. A case file will be opened today. Aleairhub, since you think you have money, you will spend it!

What if he is a recruit to sell cheap dollars to you? From my calculation you paid apprx 360/$ when ppl have been selling and buying for 380/$ upwards.

Lol... relax. Na only me say I send screenshots. I'm sending from a PC. I thought it was niiade cos I did not verify the person's I.D on nairaland before starting the transaction and niiade earlier quoted me. Now I have a possible culprit. By the way are you his business partner?

The screenshot will be the last straw to break the camel's back.

Incase your phone don't send screenshot please get another better camera phone and use it to take the pictures of your conversation with the alleged scammer from the beginning to the end.

The MOD has a big role to play in determining the end of this case on Nairaland. I have provided evidence. I can't send screenshots from my phone, if not would have done it since. But I'm going to use whatsapp on my pc to send screenshots of my chat with this guy.

I won't say the plans I have for him. I just want to be sure I have the right culprit. By 6pm, I'll rule on the issue.
