I’ll like to know how to go about newborns payment of IHS, I haven’t seen/read any distinct way even after going through previous pages and ukvi site. Has anyone (a student) given birth In the uk and paid the Ihs fee for the baby, kindly help. It stated that babies can receive treatment up until 3 months, but baby passport will be needed for payment processing and you guys know how Naija passport issues can be.
Kindly help explain if you have gone through this before.

I have no idea if one can get a student loan if you are already in the UK, there's usually a prerequisite for admission/visa which is where POF comes to play.

So if one is already in the UK, it then means you have ticked all the boxes of finances and funding of the program.

I think you can only call mummy, daddy, wife, husband, brother, sister friends, or colleagues if you don hang. lollll

If the person is not in the uk...then good luck they him or her getting the loan...dont have payback plans?? Why will any institution grant loan to someone who can leave the country anytime ?? Enlighten me??

The loan companies profile the class of people they fund, they also work with mostly Ivy league schools.

But that arrangements is it before the student applied for Visa or after landing in the country?
Is that through a bank or Some private arrangements or some loan shark? .

Why not share a full insight to educate us and some others who are in her situation.

As I mentioned earlier, Loan companies work with selected schools
External Loan companies like Prodigy, Mpower & Lendwise give funds to international students to pursue studies, there are also numerous companies that are listed on the every university finance/funding page

Your Proof of funds was what I meant.
i am yet to see a someone on study Visa getting a loan,those who are getting students loans are either a CITIZEN or RESIDENTS with permanent status and i don't think that law has changed to accommodate you.
If your immigration status qualifies you for one you should have gathered a bit credit scores to qualify you for one.
You don't even need to look out for one,once your banking record get up to 3 months,they already have opened a credit file on your data.

You can get loans as an international student,

One can only apply for a student loan before the commencement of the program, the schools work hand in hand with the loan companies, so payment are usually paid directly to the school.

The last time You brought this issue here some of us told you the danger of applying for a loan in UK if you are on a student Visa,i don't know why you guys rarely listen until when it becomes a problem.
When you were applying as a student you showed them a statement full of money,how come your bank account became empty all of a sudden? that is what they will be saying to themselves,this your action will surely backfire not only on you but other coming behind, because the implications is they will doubt every documents coming from Nigerian's.
I beg you i. the name of whatever you worship not to spoil road for others coming behind you.
Drop this idea of seeking for a loan from UK institution until when you have an immigration status that qualifies you

What is the danger in getting a student loan, these loan providers profile who they give funds and these funds are limited to a number of schools. I don't think you understand the OP, Student loans can also be used as proof of funds (payment), they pay directly to the school, which will then reflect on your CAS.

Stop advising peeps on what isn't clear to you, Most Ivy league "Russell Group" students finance MSC, MBA with loans,

Your "No credit report recorded" resulted from you not taking a loan in the past, Lendwise will ask for some additional documents, which you will upload on your dashboard and then they will determine how much loan & APR you will be given.

Not to worry about the credit report, some peeps that I know still got loans with no credit report.

This i don't think would be OK for the working class, many pay their house rent from annual allowance, making them pay in 3 months would enable Lagos wahala swallow the money before its due

To be sincere, I feel 3 months isn’t workable in a country like Nigeria, what housing means to a Nigerian is quite different to countries that pay rent monthly and quarterly. I think the year 1 thing should stay..... when tenants owing know quit notice lasts 6months, they’ll just pay 6months and spend the remains 6months on quit notice

Na the only thing way Lagos dey use f-up be dat, my tenant dey tell me 'patapata you will give me quit notice and I go still spend 6 months on top money I owe you ', to rent house out dey fear person, the law helps the tenant,, what of poor landlord that laboured so hard? For UK the day your rent expire you are in trouble

You can not compare the housing stock in the Uk to Nigeria, the law has to lean more to tenants, because the government has failed in the delivery of housing to its citizens. Giving more power to the landlord will be more disastrous.
