Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 29 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Topic - Picture For The Future by Adegbola Akanni on December 29, 2017 in Daily Devotion, Pastor Paul Enenche Read more devotions here: - www.muyilight.com Topic: Picture For The Future [Friday December 29, 2017] Scripture: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.Proverbs 29:18 Thought For The Day: The power of death fears the power of vision; what you see is stronger than what is there. Sometime ago, a man met me and told me that he was diagnosed of a terminal disease. From the way he spoke, he had concluded that it was time for him to die. I asked him a question, ‘Suppose you have thirty (30) more years to live, what would you like to do or achieve?’ He said, “I know what to do sir”, and I told him to go and write them down and present them to God saying, “Lord if you keep me alive, these are what I shall achieve for You”. I also told him to consistently fill his heart with the pictures of what he wrote. And the man carried out all the instructions. Beloved, to the glory of God, since 1999 (eighteen years ago) that the death sentence was issued to him, death could not prevail against him. He is fully alive and doing very well today. The truth is, the power of death fears the power of vision; what you see is stronger than what is there. Our anchor scripture did not say, ‘Where there is no medicine the people perish, or where there are too many witches, the people perish.’ NO! It says, ‘Where there is no vision…’ Your survival is dependent on your vision. Today, I decree your deliverance from every calculated disaster orchestrated by the enemy for you in this season, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: The power of death fears the power of vision; what you see is stronger than what is there. Assignments: 1. Develop visions that are contrary to any ugly situation in your life. 2. Create the pictures of them in your mind. 3. Review the visions as frequently as you can and sight the pictures as vividly as possible. Prayer: LORD, I ask for the termination of every terminal infirmity in my body or destiny. I shall fulfil my days Lord, in Jesus’ Name. The Secret : The 10 Powerful Verses from Isaiah to Help You Fight Fear and Find Hope in Jesus by Adegbola Akanni on December 27, 2017 in The Secrets Click here to follow and discover other Secrets to know as Christian :- http://www.muyilight.com/search/label/The%20Secrets Many of the most popular and frequently quoted Bible verses we hear or read are from the powerful book of Isaiah. 66 chapters are filled with such reminders of who God is and how He’s still with us today. We can find strength from the truth that His word never changes. We can find faith over the stronghold of fear that tries to hold us back in a cycle of worry. We can find an anchor in Jesus our Savior to hold us secure in changing times. And what Isaiah penned so many years ago through God’s leading, is hope, real hope, that flows through its pages, offering us assurance in a world that often seems dark and uncertain. The book of Isaiah has several main themes that run through the chapters: It reflects on God’s holiness and calls his people to repentance. It prophecies of the coming Messiah, who He is, and what He’s called to do. It tells us of the salvation we can find in Christ alone. It shares the hope we’re offered through the gift of God’s Son, who promises comfort for the weary, deliverance from sin, restoration in the midst of brokenness, and courage when we face fear. If you find yourself needing a boost of encouragement and hope today, or help fighting fear and worries that surround, here’s a few truths to focus on… 10 Verses from Isaiah to Help Us Fight Fear and Find Hope in Jesus: 1. ISAIAH 43:1-3 God reminds us not to fear. Over and over again, He gives us promises of what He’s done, and continues to do, on our behalf. We have no reason to give way to worry when God is the One who fights for us. He’s redeemed us. He’s called us by name. He’s always with us no matter what we face. He brings us through every hard place and through the deep waters: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” - Isaiah 43:1-3 2. ISAIAH 41:10 This verse is a go-to for many to recite when fears rise and weakness feels insurmountable. When that happens, speaking the Truth of God to ourselves is critical, and this verse in Isaiah reminds us of powerful truth: God is with us, He is for us, He will strengthen us, he will help and uphold us. “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 3. ISAIAH 40:30-31 Often weariness and fear go hand in hand. We get down and discouraged, and anxiety can take over. But when we place our hope in God, He promises to renew us and give us the strength we desperately need when we are weary: “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”Isaiah 40:30-31 4. ISAIAH 43:18-19 God alone has the power to make a way where there seems to be no way. We don’t have to stay stuck in the past or fear the future. He reminds us not to dwell on what’s behind us, but brings us into new places, and opens up doors that may otherwise be impossible to walk through: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19 Click here to follow and discover other Secrets to know as Christian :- http://www.muyilight.com/search/label/The%20Secrets 5. ISAIAH 54:10 Just over this year we’ve heard story after story of destruction and tragic events that have caused huge suffering and pain for many. We may begin to wonder where God is in it all. Yet He reminds us that no matter what happens in this world, His love over us will not be shaken, and His covenant of peace will never be removed. That alone should give us huge security when times feel shaky and we struggle through brokenness. Though we may still “feel” fear, it doesn’t have to control us. Our faith in God is powerful and He holds us steady and secure: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10 6. ISAIAH 58:11 This verse is such a helpful verse for the day-to-day needs and decisions all of us must make. Reminding ourselves daily that God will guide us and satisfy our needs can quiet our souls when we feel like the entire world depends on us making the right choice or decision. We are like well-watered gardens, thriving under the care of our Master Gardener. “The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:11 7. ISAIAH 60:1-2 Through every day, His hope still rises strong. His Spirit within us shines brightly in a world that can seem dark much of the time. We may not always see it, we not always know we’re making a difference, we may succumb more to worry than peace at times, but God’s Presence over us and in us, is powerful in this life. Be assured, His light will never be put out by the darkness. He is always greater. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 8. ISAIAH 9:16 Throughout the chapters of this great book, Isaiah points us to our Savior, the Messiah, Christ the King, Emmanuel. Through the gift of Jesus and the price He paid on the cross for us, we can find hope, deliverance, healing, and purpose for our lives. He alone is the One who can set us free from the stronghold of fear and sin. He alone holds the power to renew our days and give us peace. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” 9. ISAIAH 53:5 The gospel isn’t only for those who need salvation and then put away and never remembered – we need reminding of the gospel each day. We need reminding of the price that was paid for our freedom and our eternal life. All of Scripture speaks to our need for a Savior to save us from our sins, and this verse in Isaiah is a visceral reminder of the length God went to rescue His beloved children. Thank you Jesus, that by your wounds we are healed! “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Read more here: - http://www.muyilight.com/search/label/The%20Secrets |
UCB Daily Devotional For December 27, 2017: Topic - Say yes to God by Adegbola Akanni on December 27, 2017 in Daily Devotion, UCB Devotional Read more international daily Devotionals here www.muyilight.com Say yes to God 27 DECEMBER 2017 ‘Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”’ Isaiah 6:8 NKJV William Carey is referred to as ‘the father of modern missions’. But the number of his accomplishments in India was almost equalled by the number of obstacles he overcame just to get there. He was told by a group of ministers, ‘If God wants to save the heathen, young man, He will do it without your help or ours.’ Carey was not a career missionary. He was a young Englishman in poor health with a pregnant wife and small children. He was just like the rest of us – trying to make ends meet and keep life together. But he had something else, a burning question he could not escape: ‘Who will reach the lost in India, if I don’t go?’ Looking back later, Carey realised that the challenges he overcame at home were what qualified him to succeed in his God-given assignment abroad. The same thing happened to Isaiah the prophet: ‘I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He said, “Go, and tell this people”’ (vv. 8-9 NKJV). But before Isaiah was qualified to go, he needed a life-changing encounter with God. ‘Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin is purged”’ (vv. 6-7 NKJV). Do you sense God preparing you and getting ready to send you? If so, say yes. Bible in a Year: Zech 9-10; Rev 19; Read more international daily Devotionals here www.muyilight.com |
Seeds of Destiny Daily Devotional For 26 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche : Topic - Escaping Satanic Traps Read more at the source: - www.muyilight.com Topic: Escaping Satanic Traps [Tuesday December 26, 2017] Scripture: He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Daniel 3:25 Thought For The Day: God is the only reason your mother’s womb didn’t become your tomb. A trap connotes a device or an enclosure designed to catch preys. It is also a trick or arrangement designed to catch someone. It is confirmed that we are in times where there are all manner of satanic or devilish traps, but God is committed to rescuing His children. The more satan set traps for people, the more God devises ways of escape for His children. The truth is, there were several traps God delivered you from that you are not even aware of. God was the reason your mother’s womb did not become your tomb; He was the reason you were not buried in that accident that claimed other people’s lives. There is someone reading this devotional right now, you have been wondering and asking, ‘Does God really love me? If He does, why all these battles around my life?’ You may even have contemplated suicide. But beloved, God has asked me to tell you that He loves you more than you think or know. His love for you is everlasting. He is the only reason you are alive today. He is the reason you have not lost your mind despite the devices of the enemy. Today, by the mantle of God upon my life, I prophesy your total escape from every satanic trap that has entangled your life and destiny. I decree your freedom from every trap or entanglement of infirmity, poverty, death, discouragement and frustration in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: God was the reason your mother’s womb did not become your tomb. Assignments: 1. Determine to align yourself with the Will of God for your life. When you do His will, you win 2. Believe God’s Word and His ability to deliver you always. Prayer: Lord, I ask that You deliver me and my loved ones from every trap of the enemy, Lord in Jesus’ Name. Matthew 1:25 Thought For The Day: The birth of Jesus bypassed natural order; it suspended the protocol of nature to achieve Kingdom purpose. Merry Christmas! Christmas is the annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ on the 25th Day of December by followers of Jesus Christ called Christians all over the world. The Scripture makes it clear in Matthew Chapters 1 and 2 that the birth of our Master, the Saviour of the world was not a normal birth; it bypassed natural orders and protocols. Let us x-ray some of the mysteries that surrounded the birth of Jesus Christ. 1. The mystery of unnatural conception: This is a conception that happened without the meeting of a man and a woman. 2. The mystery of incarnation: This is not reincarnation but incarnation. It is the mystery of God becoming man. 3. The mystery of surprise for the devil. The devil looked for Jesus to kill when He was in the womb. He did not just fail in his attempt; he also did not know when and where Jesus was born. 4. The birth of Christ was the mystery that changed the order of history and the arrangement of calendar. Everything that happened before Christ was born was termed B.C and everything that happened subsequently was called A.D. 5. The mystery of Jesus’ birth imparted nature and creation. It was the star that recorded His birth. On this special day, I prophesy to you the impartation of all that the birth of Jesus carries. The end of your strandedness has come, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: The birth of Jesus bypassed natural happenings; it suspended the protocol of nature to achieve kingdom purpose. . Assignment: 1. Passionately ask God to make the mystery of the birth of Jesus Christ real in your life Prayer: LORD, I thank You for the birth of our master Jesus Christ. December 2017 Lesson 17 : Topic — The Fruit Of The Spirit: Goodness And Faith by Adegbola Akanni on December 24, 2017 in Pastor E. A. Adeboye, RCCG Weekly Sunday School Manual RCCG Sunday School Students Manual For 24th December 2017 Lesson 17 : Topic — The Fruit Of The Spirit: Goodness And Faith For more explanation on Today's lesson, Check here for the Teachers manual http://www.muyilight.com/2017/12/rccg-sunday-school-teachers-manual-for_8.html Topic — The Fruit Of The Spirit: Goodness And Faith [Sunday, 24th December 2017] MEMORY VERSE: “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.” - Ephesians 5:9 BIBLE PASSAGE: Romans 15:13-14 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. 14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. INTRODUCTION: Goodness and faith are part of the vital characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Goodness in man is not a mere passive quality, but the deliberate preference of right to wrong, the firm and persistent resistance of all moral evil, and the choosing and following of all moral good. Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true (Philippians 1:27; 2Thessalonians 2:13). Its primary idea is trust. These are the resulting character of someone who is allowing the Holy Spirit to develop his or her life. LESSON OUTLINES: 1. Goodness 2. Faith (Faithfulness) GOODNESS The Greek word translated "goodness", agathosune, is defined as "uprightness of heart and life". Agathosune is goodness for the benefit of others, not goodness simply for the sake of being virtuous. Goodness is virtue and holiness in action. It results in a life characterised by deeds motivated by righteousness and a desire to be a blessing. It is a moral characteristic of. Spirit-filled person. Expressions of goodness are as varied as the Spirit is creative. These may include confronting someone about a sin in love and firmness, giving to the poor (James 1:27), providing for one's children, visiting the sick, etc. Goodness is not a quality we can manufacture on our own. Rather, it is a gift (James 1:17). As believers, we must allow the Holy Spirit to produce in us the fruit of goodness that others will see and glorify our Father in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). FAITH (FAITHFULNESS) Faith is 'believing without even seeing'. Hebrews 11:1 says.. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". Faithfulness is steadfastness, constancy or allegiance. It is carefulness in keeping what we are entrusted with. It is also the conviction that the Scriptures accurately reflect reality. Biblical faithfulness requires belief in what the Bible says about God - His existence, His works, and His character. Hebrews 11 gives a long list of men and women in the Old Testament who trusted God and were full of faith. These include: Abel (Hebrews 11:4); Enoch (Hebrews 11:5); Noah (Hebrews 11:7); Abraham and Sarah (Hebrews 11:8-11), etc. Believers must learn to trust God even when it seems He is silent (2Corinthians 5:7). Faithfulness must also be seen in our service unto God (Revelations 2:13) and relationship with fellow men (1Peter 5:12). CONCLUSION: We do not become a Christian on our own, and we cannot grow on our own (Philippians 2:13). Every good thing we do by faith is the fruit of the Spirit's work in our lives. QUESTIONS: 1. Describe goodness as a characteristic of the fruit of the Spirit. 2. Mention four heroes of faith. Andrew Wommack’s Daily Devotional For 22 December 2017 : Topic - The Effects Of Sin by Adegbola Akanni on December 22, 2017 in Andrew Wommack Devotional, Daily Devotion Read more Devotional at the source - www.muyilight.com Topic: The Effects Of Sin [Friday December 22, 2017] John 20:23 "Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." The meaning of this verse has been hotly debated for centuries. One thing is certain, it does not mean we have the power to justify a person from his sins so he can be born again; only God can do that. Many people have taught that Jesus is saying, that if we fail to witness to others, we are retaining their sins unto them, and if we do share His love with others, then we are remitting their sins. Although there is truth in this statement, it is not what this verse is teaching. Rather, this verse deals with the temporal effects that sin has on a person's life. Not only is there a future death penalty for sin, but sin destroys us emotionally and physically in this life too. It is this present destruction that sin brings into a person's life that Jesus gave us the power to remit. Through intercession we can remit a person's sins, so even though he has sown to the flesh and deserves to reap corruption (Gal. 6: , he will not reap what he has sown. This is done for the purpose of loosing a person from the bondage that Satan desires to hold him in, until he sees the light and repents. This is only a temporary situation and must be continually repeated if the person we are praying for continues to live in sin.On the other hand, there are times when it is not in the best interest of the individual to remit his sins. There are times when he needs to be made painfully aware of the consequences of his sins. In these cases, we have power to retain his sins; that is, we withdraw our intercession and he reaps what he sows in hope that this will cause him to turn back to God. Spirit Meat Daily Devotional By Rev. Olusola Areogun: Topic - THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD OF GOD (1) - JOHN 17:17, ACTS 1:8 Read more daily Devotional from the source at www.muyilight.com Christianity stands on two legs: The Word of God, and The Holy Spirit. You are not to go for one and think that is all you will ever need, else the devil will defeat you. Some churches and some Christians are strong in the word but weak in the Spirit while some are strong in the Spirit but weak in the word. Both of them are not balanced, though one is better. It is better to be strong in the word of God and be weak in the Spirit than to be strong in the Spirit and be weak in the word. If you are strong in the word and weak in the Spirit, you will be safe, though you may not make as much progress as you want in terms of speed – but you can be sure that you will be preserved. This is the reason there are churches that do not have anything to do with the Spirit, but yet have been able to keep themselves in the word. If you are strong in the Spirit and weak in the word, you will go into error because God gave us the Bible as a guide to show us the limits of safety in our explorations in the spirit realm. The Bible tells you what is within limits or off limits for you. The process that will give you safety is to first be sound in the word and then become strong in the Spirit afterward. PRAYER: Lord, I surrender to the ministry of the word and the Holy Spirit in my life. Come to me by your spirit through your word and by your word through your spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 20 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Topic - A Lifting In A Meltdown Read more Devotional from the source -www.muyilight.com Topic: A Lifting In A Meltdown [Wednesday December 20, 2017] Scripture: When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up...Job 22:29 Thought For The Day: Connection to God is an escape route from the meltdown of this generation. Our anchor scripture communicates the two sides of a coin – a casting down and a lifting up. It is true that everybody is living in the same world, but it is not true that people’s experiences are the same. It is confirmed that we are in an era of economic meltdown, recession or deflation. Time has also revealed that we are in an age where there is the degeneration in the health of people. You will agree with me that the names of afflictions and diseases we hear and know about today were nowhere to be found even about twenty (20) years ago. Notwithstanding, in the midst of all these, the eternal design of God for His children is for them to experience lifting and nourishment in all ramifications no matter the situation of the world. For a child of God, it does not matter how terrible it gets for the people of the world, companying with God makes your case different. Association with God delivers you from disaster. Beloved, connection to God is an escape route from the meltdown of this generation. I prophesy to you, there is a lifting for you. While the world is sinking, you shall be sailing. Any tragedy organized by the enemy in this last month of the year shall not come near you, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: Connection to God is an escape route from the meltdown of this generation. Assignment(S): 1. Determine to have a total stand with God; do not have one leg in church and another in the world 2. Study the Word of God (Bible) to know and appropriate the promises of God for your life and destiny. Prayer: LORD, I refuse to be buried in the holocaust of this generation. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 18 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Topic - Keys To Supernatural Protection Read more daily Devotionals at www.muyilight.com Topic: Keys To Supernatural Protection [Monday December 18, 2017] Scripture: And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. Isaiah 22:22 Thought For The Day: Responsibility is responsible for accessibility; the secret you access determines the shade you enjoy. The Scripture has confirmed that God is eternally committed to the protection of His children. Instances of God’s commitment to the preservation of His children abound in the scripture. However, God does not force anyone to come under His shield. It takes keys or responsibilities by man to enjoy supernatural protection by God. The truth is, doors do not answer to titles or muscles; doors answer to the right keys. Where the right key is not in place, access is limited and entry is denied. Responsibility is responsible for accessibility. Thus, there is something man should do in order to enjoy supernatural protection from God. Below are some of the keys:- 1. Living in the secret place of God by the fear of the Lord. (Proverbs 19:23, Job 29:4). To fear God is to be safe in life. The secret you access determines the shade you enjoy. 2. Maintenance of spiritual sensitivity. Your spirituality is the guarantee of the security of your destiny. 3. Avoidance of the fear of the enemy: To be afraid of the enemy is to lose faith in God and be vulnerable to defeat. 4. Watching your Utterance: Your utterance is potent enough to either make or mar you. 6. Watchfulness and Prayerfulness: Be watchful and prayerful. Avoid spiritual slumber. In this December, I prophesy your protection from every plot of the enemy. The Lord shall shield both you and everyone connected to you, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: Responsibility is responsible for accessibility; the secret you access determines the shade you enjoy. Assignment: 1. CAC LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE Saturday, December 16, 2017 DWELLING IN GOD'S SECRET PLACE by Adegbola Akanni on December 16, 2017 in CAC Living Water, Daily Devotion Read more daily Devotional at www.muyilight.com LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE Saturday, December 16, 2017 DWELLING IN GOD'S SECRET PLACE READ: Luke 11:5-8 MEMORISE: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1) We are living in the midst of trying and sometimes fearful times. Insurgency, diseases, economic unrest, failing governments, wars, etc., have taken their toll on mankind, and there seems to be no remedy for man's troubles. To escape the storms of life, there is only one place that man can find refuge, and that is in the secret place of God. The secret place may simply be described as a hiding place (Psalms 32:7). Although, a secret place can refer to a physical location, it most often connotes a state of a soul in its relationship with God (Psalms 27:5). The psalmist is not referring to an actual tabernacle or tent in which he will hide from physical enemies. He is speaking of the state of peace that God gives in the midst of trials and attacks. It is a state of spiritual rest that prevails, regardless of the outward circumstances, whether palatable or otherwise. To dwell in the secret place of God therefore, means to commit oneself to the will and protection of God, and daily seek to dwell in His presence. When one is abiding under the shadow of the Almighty, the person is preserved and protected; there is adequate divine coverage and shield from evil; there is the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and assurance of long life. The secret of receiving God's protective care is a heart that is intimately attached to the Lord in gratitude and affection. He knows who such believers are and He will be with them in trouble, hear their prayers, and give them lives full of His divine presence and provision (John 15:4-10). Obviously, you desire that. Then, do His biddings! PRAYER POINTS 1. Lord, teach me how to dwell in Your secret place, abiding under Your shadow, and help me to live as such. 2. Lord, help me to enjoy the blessings of remaining within Your confines, with my home, ministry and endeavours. 3. Pray for ministers of the Gospel who were once vibrant in the Lord, but have derailed, that God should bring them back to His holy path and ministry. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 15 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Topic - From Confrontation To Promotion Read more Devotionals From the source at www.muyilight.com Topic: From Confrontation To Promotion [Friday December 15, 2017] Scripture: Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 1 Samuel 17:36 Thought For The Day: God will not allow what will conquer you to confront you; the confrontation did not come to collapse you but to promote you. Confrontation simply means the challenges and battles a person faces or fights. David, for instance, was confronted with a death sentence hanging on his life. King Saul wanted to take his life by all means (1 Samuel 19:1). He was confronted by a lion and a bear. He also confronted Goliath that almost turned King Saul and the children of Israel into vegetables out of fear. Now, David must have complained like most Christians do today, ‘Why all these battles, why does God not like me? Where did I go wrong? What did I do? I pray, I pay my tithe, I am doing everything God said I should do, yet God allowed all these battles to confront me.’ God must have silently assured him, ‘Your confrontations are all for your promotions.’ A genuine Christian facing the battles of life could be faced with endless questions and complaints: ‘Why does God allow me to remain barren for years? Why is He not protecting me from witchcraft afflictions and attacks? I am almost forty years old and not yet married, etc.’ Beloved, the truth is God will not allow what will conquer you to confront you. Remember, it was in confronting the lion and the bear that David had the courage to confront Goliath. And it was in confronting Goliath that David was promoted. Beloved, today’s battle is the seed for tomorrow’s victory. What you confront today is the foundation for what you will collapse tomorrow. The confrontation did not come to collapse you but to promote you. By the mandate of God on my life, I prophesy the collapse of every battle around your life – be it the battle of childlessness, chronic singleness or witchcraft affliction, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: God will not allow what will conquer you to confront you; the confrontation did not come to collapse you but to promote you. Assignments: 1. No matter what you may be passing through, never murmur against God or think that God does not love you. 2. In the face of confrontations or contradictions, develop a dogged faith, trust and confidence in God. Prayer: LORD, I decree that every confrontation around my life usher me into promotion, in Jesus’ Name. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 14 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche : Topic - Your Stand And Your Shield Read more Devotionals at www.muyilight.com Topic: Your Stand And Your Shield [Thursday December 14, 2017] Scripture: …As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. I Kings 17:1 Thought For The Day: Where you stand determines how you end in life. From our anchor scripture above, Elijah stood before King Ahab and fearlessly declared that there would be no rain until he had declared otherwise. What an audacity! It is like a civilian walking up to a military General and dictator, someone like Idi Amin Dada of Uganda or Adolf Hitler of Germany and telling him that he would not have access to the treasury of the country which he governs until he or she asks him to do so. That person, no doubt, would be on a suicide mission. Come to think of it, as brutal as King Ahab and His wife Jezebel were, what was it that gave Elijah the courage to make such utterance right before them and went away unhurt? It was because of his stand with God. Beloved, where you stand determines how you end in life. Your stand with God guarantees your shield in life. Your stand on the Word of God, prayer, holiness or righteousness; your stand in speaking on behalf of God against satanic or human opinions, etc. facilitates your protection by God from the arrows of destruction of the enemy. Today, I prophesy to you, as you determine to stand with God, I decree that you are protected and preserved from every calamity that befalls people in this season. Your life is shielded from every arrow of disaster in this December, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: Where you stand determines how you end in life Assignments: 1. Ensure that you maintain the Presence of God in your life at all times. 2. Never take any decision, act or move outside the Will and Presence of God. Prayer: Lord, I ask that You eject the spirit of timidity from my life and inject in me the spirit of audacity. Help me to maintain Your Presence consistently at all times, in Jesus’ Name. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 13 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche : Topic - The Armour Called Word Renew your day with combination of local and international Devotionals from here www.muyilight.com Topic: The Armour Called Word [Wednesday December 13, 2017] Scripture: And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. Matthew 14:28-29 Thought For The Day: It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sinks others. An armour is a metal covering or shield on a person aimed at delivering him from danger in a battle. The Word of God is not only a shield but a preserver and a defender of life. Our anchor scripture reveals how the Word of Jesus delivered Peter from sinking. Some people think that peter walked on water, but it was the word, ‘C-O-M-E’ that Peter actually walked on, and that word kept him from sinking in the stormy sea. Beloved, the Word of God gives you the capacity to stand where you should have been sinking. The Word of God arms you to ride on what is calculated to bury you. The Word of God empowers you to tread on what should have trashed you out of existence. It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sinks others. There is someone reading this devotional right now, there are enemies around your life who pretend to be friends. They keep wondering why you are still alive because they know the evil they did against you. The same evil act had buried many of their victims, but you are still standing and flourishing. It is because you are being protected and preserved by the armour of the Word of God. Right now, by the judgmental mantle of God on my life, I decree their expiration if they fail to repent. That which they have orchestrated for you shall befall them and their generation. Whoever will not let you and your family rest in this December shall not crossover to the New Year alive, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: It is the Word of God that equips you to sail through what sink others. Assignment(S): 1. Ingest the Word of God daily by the study of the Bible and anointed messages. 2. Believe the Word of God, confess it and declare it with your mouth as often as you can. Prayer: LORD, I connect to the preservation power of Your Word. What sinks others shall not sink me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 12 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Spirituality : Topic – The Fear Of God – Key To Protection Read Different Collections of Daily Devotionals at www.muyilight.com Topic: The Fear Of God – Key To Protection [Tuesday December 12, 2017] Scripture: …Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. Psalms 105:15 Thought For The Day: Fear for those who do not fear God. Life becomes vulnerable outside the fear of God. Sometime ago, I heard a story of some rebellious young persons who wanted to take a ride in a car to somewhere. Their mother said to them, ‘Children, may the Lord go with you all’. And one of the rebellious guys told the mother that there was no space for God in the car anymore as all the seats had been occupied by them already. He jokingly added, ‘Maybe God can find His place in the boot.’ What a terrible utterance! In the course of their journey, they had a fatal road traffic accident, none of them survived. Surprisingly, the car boot where one of them said God should enter was absolutely intact, unscratched including the crates of egg that were right in there. How could a car be involved in fatal accident that killed everyone on board have crates of eggs at the boot or trunk of the same vehicle that were not broken or damaged? Beloved, we serve a very fearful God. That is why you should fear for those who do not fear God. Life becomes vulnerable outside the fear of God. Whatever talked through one of them saying that God should enter the car boot, talked all of them into destruction. It is curiosity that makes a goat to go and greet a hyena. That goat will instantly become food in the mouth of the hyena. In this last month of the year, as you revere and serve God, I prophesy to you, what befall others shall never come near you, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Remember This: Fear for those who do not fear God. Life becomes vulnerable outside the fear of God Assignments: 1. Avoid, resist and flee from any invitation to disdain the Name of God. 2. Disconnect from those that easily and habitually talk against God, church or genuine servants of God. Prayer: Lord, I disconnect from any association aimed at destroying my life on the platform of lack of reverence for You. Help me to maintain a buoyant and unbroken relationship with You, in Jesus’ Name. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING GET THE MESSAGE: WHAT ARE YOU OFFERING YOUR GENERATION? C.A.C LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE For Monday, December 11, 2017 : TOPIC - TO THE STREET/HOME/OFFICE by Adegbola Akanni on December 11, 2017 in CAC Living Water, Daily Devotion Read more daily Inspirational Devotional at www.muyilight.com THE LIVING WATER C.A.C DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE DATE: Monday, December 11, 2017 TOPIC: TO THE STREET/HOME/OFFICE READ: James 2:14-26 MEMORISE: Whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it - not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it - they will be blessed in what they do (James 1:25). Worshiping with fellow Christians is special. Being fed from the word of God, being taught and encouraged by singing and praying together, giving to meet the needs of others, and remembering the sacrifice of our Saviour all make the time we spend together a blessing. But I think that too often the motivation to live more faithfully grows cold once the church services are over. We don't always take what we learn in church and live it out in our daily lives. If we leave behind what we learned while we were assembled together, we miss out on putting our discipleship into practice. Taking to the street what we have learned means treating our families and neighbours the way Christ would. It means being the very best employees we can be. It means maturing as parents, as students, and even as citizens. As the verse from James quoted above tells us, it means for us to go beyond listening to acting. Meeting together as Christians gives us the tools and understanding of God's love that help us live faithfully. Wherever we go as we leave the service, we can resolve to share with others the unity and peace that Christ's love inspires in us. If Christ is not in us and seen through us in the streets, offices and homes, it is very doubtful if He is in us. Read Acts 5:42. PRAYER POINTS: 1. Dear God, help us not to take the blessings of life in Christ for granted but instead to share them with those around us, in Jesus' name. 2. Pray for God to touch the hearts of those who despise the fellowship of the brethren so that they can repent and then begin to enjoy the blessing of God embedded in the assembly of the saints. 3. O Lord, help the church to really be awakened to the need to live the gospel and take same to the unreached, far and around us. RCCG Sunday School Students Manual 10th December 2017 Lesson 15 : Topic — The Fruit Of The Spirit: Joy And Peace For more explanation of the lesson 15 ( The Fruit Of The Spirit: Joy And Peace ), follow the teacher's manual here - http://www.muyilight.com/2017/12/rccg-sunday-school-teachers-manual-for_9.html TOPIC — THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: JOY AND PEACE [SUNDAY, 10TH DECEMBER 2017] MEMORY VERSE: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." - Romans 14:17 BIBLE PASSAGE: James 3:13-18 INTRODUCTION: Literally, the "fruit of the Spirit" is what happens when the Holy Spirit indwells a believer. The "fruit" is the product of the Holy Spirit's cultivation of character in a heart. Galatians 5:22-23 describes what that fruit looks like; the second and third characteristics listed are joy and peace respectively. We are to submit our wills to God's leading and our actions to God's word, but the actual results are up to Him. Only God can give true joy and create peace through the work of the Holy Spirit. LESSON OUTLINES: 1. JOY 2. PEACE JOY The Greek word for joy is chara. Joy is the natural reaction to the work of God, whether promised or fulfilled. Joy expresses God's kingdom - His influence on earth (Romans 14:17). The Greek chara is closely related to charis, which means "grace" or "gift". Chara is the normal response to charis - we have joy because of God's grace. Possessing joy is a choice. We choose whether to value God's presence, promises and work in our lives. When we yield to the Spirit, He opens our eyes to God's grace around us and fills us with joy (Romans 15:13). The Spirit's production of joy can manifest in several different ways: 1. The joy of deliverance: When God sets someone free, rejoicing is in order (1Samuel 2:1; Acts 12:14). 2. The joy of salvation: Our greatest reason to be joyful is that God wants to save us and spend eternity with us (Luke 15:7; Acts 8:8; 15:3). 3. The joy of spiritual maturity: As the Holy Spirit works in us to bear more fruit, we become confident in God's promises and rejoice in our walk with Him and with other believers (2Corinthians 1:24; 1Thessalonians 2:19-20). 4. The joy of God's presence: The Holy Spirit draws us to God, in whose presence we can know true joy. Without the Holy Spirit, no one would seek God (Psalm 16:11; Matthew 2:10). PEACE At birth, our sinful nature has already declared war on God and His truth. However, God's methods of warfare are not what we expected. Instead of a battle, He sent us the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus' goal in coming to earth was more than simply to cease hostilities; He came to bring about a full and abiding relationship of restoration and love. The cost of this peace was His life (Isaiah 53:5). Hence, the fruit of the Spirit includes a peace that goes beyond that of salvation. It is a sweet relationship. We are called to His presence (Ephesians 2:11-18) and called to be confident in that presence (Hebrews 4:16) because we are His friends (John 15:15). God's peace transcends earthly matters and it is void of anxiety (Philippians 4:4-7). The Spirit-filled Christian has a peace that is abundant, available in every situation, and unlike anything that the world has to offer (John 14:27). The alternative to being filled with the Spirit and His peace is to be filled with alarm, doubt, fear and dread. CONCLUSION: As believers, we must allow God to work in our hearts and in our relationships by laying down our own schedule and trust in God. Through the help of the Holy Spirit we can experience and manifest true joy and peace. QUESTIONS: 1. The spirit's production of joy can manifest in several different ways. Mention them? 2. Describe true peace. Our Daily Manna devotional For December 6, 2017 ODM : Topic – The Four Vessels! Wait On God! Note: - RCCG Holy Ghost Congress 2017 BY Pastor E.A. Adeboye: Theme - Songs of Victory (Second Day) here http://www.muyilight.com/2017/12/rccg-holy-ghost-congress-2017-by-pastor_6.html Topic: The Four Vessels! Wait On God! [Wednesday, December 6, 2017] Basic Scripture: Daniel 6:10-28 There was a master searching for a vessel to use! On the shelf, there were many vessels. “Take me and use me”, cried the golden vessel: “I am shiny and bright. I am of great value and I do things just right. My beauty and luster will outshine the rest and for someone like you master, gold will be best.” The mater passed on without a word. Next came the silver vessel: “Master, I will serve you, I will pour out your wine. My lines are so graceful; my calves so true and my silver will always compliment you.” Again, the master looked at it and moved on to the vessel of brass: “Oh master, look at me. Here am I.i know I will do. Place on the table for all to see.” The unsatisfied mater passed on and came to the vessel of wood: I said: “You may use me dear master, but I prefer you use me for fruit, not for bread.” They now finally angry master came to the vessel of clay, which said: “I am empty and broken. I am helpless not fit for your use.” “Ah the excited master exclaimed. This is the vessel I have been looking for. I will mend and will use it and make it mile to my taste.”He gently lifted the vessel of clay and mended it, filled it and spoke to it: “This work you must do-just pour out to others as I have poured into you.” What a story and what a school! Oh, that you might be a vessel of clay to God. Like Daniel in today’s scripture, if He decides to mend you through circumstances of temporary delay, pain, disgrace or various vents of life, just wait on Him. Did Daniel commit any sin? No sir! No ma! Yet the POTTER allowed his temporary pain for his permanent gain to spring forth! What He allows you to pass through is His mending process of producing a VESSEL OF HONEY out of your life! Ah! Most vessels of honour were rejected vessels of pain and humility! So as the CHIEF POTTER works on your life and ministry, remain the clay you are! Don’t complain or allow depression! JUST SURRENDER! Your POTTER will never llow you to end up in SHAME! Ask Daniel! Amen and amen! Don’t miss the LAST-MINUTE-MIRACLE ANOINTING service of this Saturday! All things are possible! Plan and prepare to attend the Manna Mountain Lagos for the last 2017 ANOINTING SEVICE on SATURDAY December 9th, 8am-11am with the theme: “TH E BEST FOR THE LAST: ANOINTING FOR LAST-MINUTE MIRACLE” and the next day (Dec.10th) for the ANNUAL ODM THAKSGIVING SERVICE! Prayer Points: Take song of worship as led. 1. In your own words, pray about today’s word as led. 2. Surrender your life again now. Ask the Lord to make you what He wants you to be. Lord, use me! 3. Oh, POTTER of my DESTINY; remould me into a vessel of HONOUR! I vow NEVER to share the GLORY with You in Jesus name. CACEL premature death today! 4. Pray any other prayer(s) as led. 5. Pray in the morning, afternoon and evening of this devotional prayer points. By Bishop (Dr) Chris E. Kwakpovwe (Cek) Publisher/Writer Of ODM And Rev (Mrs) Flora E. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 5 December 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Godly Character.: Topic - A Remedy For Calamity Note :- Follow RCCG Holy Ghost Congress 2017 By Pastor E.A. Adeboye : Topic - Songs of Victory (First Day) here http://www.muyilight.com/2017/12/rccg-holy-ghost-congress-2017-by-pastor.html Topic: Godly Character - A Remedy For Calamity [Tuesday December 5, 2017] Scripture: He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands. Job 22:30 Thought For The Day: Iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction. A Godly character is akin to having and maintaining a buoyant conscience devoid of offence towards God and towards man. Our anchor scripture reveals that Godly character facilitates the deliverance of people from destruction. Pureness of heart and hands is a remedy for infirmity and calamity. The fact is, truth fuels liberty, innocence facilitates the preservation of the innocent. You may wonder why snakes come around little babies without hurting them even while the babies play with them; it is because snakes know that human babies are innocent and harmless. You are not in the path of harm if you are not in the path of wrong. That was why for as long as Daniel was innocent, he was not eatable by the lions. (Daniel 6:20-22). Gehazi, Samson and Judas Iscariot on the other hand could not escape generational calamity because of their iniquitous lifestyle. Beloved, iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction. Compromise sponsors susceptibility to danger. An armed robber can die anytime, a smoker and an alcoholic are prone to all kinds of lung and liver diseases. Prostitutes and immoral people have no future – HIV/AIDS, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Bacterial Vaginosis etc. are their inheritances. The husband snatcher, the backbiter, the cheater, etc. are vulnerable to the calamity of the devil. I prophesy to you: receive the grace to uphold a Godly character. I decree your escape from every trap set for you by the enemy in this season, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: Iniquity is the foundation for calamity; corruption facilitates destruction. Assignment(S): 1. Shun the lifestyle of iniquity or corruption 2. Always maintain a conscience that is alive; a conscience devoid of offence both towards God and man Prayer: Lord, deliver me from a Godless lifestyle, and help me to maintain a conscience that is alive, O Lord, in Jesus’ Name. Our Daily Manna devotional For December 4, 2017 ODM : Topic – Catch Of A Lifetime: Dishonesty Is Poisonous Read more local and international daily Devotionals from international Christian blog at www.muyilight.com Topic — Catch Of A Lifetime: Dishonesty Is Poisonous! [Monday, December 4, 2017] There was once an 11-year old who went fishing with his father in the middle of a New Hampshire lake of the UK. They were catching Sunfish and Perch with worms. Then he threw the hook into the water again and when his pole rolled over, he knew that something huge is on the other end. Behold, he had caught a big fish: A bass fish that was banned by government because the Bass fishing tournament industry helped o sell recreational fishing products. BASS is name some species (types) of fish that are often caught for food or sport. The boy and the father both looked at the handsome fish with its gills playing back and front in the moonlight. The father used their torchlight to look at the watch and the time was 10p.m and nobody would see them if they carry the banned fish home. The father looked at the fish, then at the boy and said, “Son you would have to put it back into the water.” Dad, cried the son, “there will be no fish as big as this one. Why can’t we take it away? Its 10p.m and there are no security around.” Painfully however, he dropped the fish back into the black water. That was about 44 years ago! Today, he is a successful architect in New York City and he still takes his children to fish. He has never caught such big fish as the one he lost 44 years ago, but he happy he kept his integrity. What will you do when no one is looking at you at 10p.m. or anytime? Proverb 11:3 says: “Integrity shall guide and promote.” As for the grace to always do the right thing in the open or in secret. Hear Daniel Webster: “There is nothing as powerful as the truth.” Hear this again: “You can fool some of the people all the time, and all of the people some f the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” As 2017 ends, resist dishonesty and a double lifestyle even in the dark! It is acidic! It is poisonous! It is deadly! Don’t you know that the future – 20118 – is carrying your SPECIAL DECORATION? Don’t scatter it by your lifestyle! You will shine. HURRAY!!! THE LAGOS (OGUDU) MOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL AOINTING SEVICE is Saturday December 9th; TIME: 8am-11.30am. Theme: “THE BEST FOR THE LAST: ANOITING FOR A SPECAL LAST-MINUTE MIRACLE!” Come with your anointing oil or any point of contact. December 9th is your day! What was lost shall be recovered! Prayer Points: Take your best worship song to God. 1. In your own words, pray about today’s word as led. 2. Repent from past hypocrisy when no one was watching. 3. Ask for the grace to live right and be good example to your children. Pray for yourself/family seriously now. 4. I command all powers of darkness assigned to bring my destiny down through secret sins: be paralyzed NOW, in Jesus name. 5. Pray in the morning, afternoon/evening of the devotional prayer points. RCCG Sunday School Teacher's Manual For 3rd December 2017 Lesson 14 : Topic - THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: LOVE AS A COMPONENT Read more local and international daily Devotionals everyday here at www.muyilight.com TOPIC — THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT: LOVE AS A COMPONENT [SUNDAY, 3RD DECEMBER 2017] OPENING PRAYER: Father, let me bring forth the fruit of the Spirit always BIBLE PASSAGE: GALATIANS 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 5:25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. LESSON INTRODUCTION The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit’s presence and operation in the life of a Christian. ‘Fruit’ is the natural result growth. And ‘of the spirit’ explains exactly who causes that growth. It is not our striving or straining, but the power of the Holy Spirit. No amount of human toil or gritty determination can produce spiritual fruit, but the Spirit’s influence in a yielded heart can miracles. The Bible makes it clear that everyone receives the Holy Spirit the moment he or she believes in Jesus Christ. Rom8:9; 1 Cor.12:13; Eph 1:13-14. One of the primary purposes of the Holy Spirit coming into a Christian’s life is to change that life. It is Holy Spirit’s job to conform us to the image of Christ, making us more like him. Our sinful flesh produces certain types of fruit that reflect our nature. Gal5:19-21, and the Holy Spirit produces types of fruit that reflect His nature. TEST REVIEW: Galatians 5:22-23 Galatians 5:16 cautions believers as follows: "....... walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the list of the flesh”. Why? It is because those who walk and live habitually in the Holy Spirit, responsive to controlled and guided by the spirit not gratify the cravings and desire of the flesh. Why? Verse.17 explains that the flesh (human nature without God) is continually antagonistic and in constant conflict with the Holy Spirit. True believers therefore can not claim to have small flesh and small spirit since the duo of the spirit and the flesh do not agree. In the light of this, a true believer cannot love (fruit of the spirit) Galatians 5:22, and at the same time love (work of the flesh) Galatians 5:20. Love is an embodiment of patience, kindness, humility, truth, holiness and faith. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. While hatred on the other hand has in its family: pride, rudeness, selfishness, evil, injustice, unrighteousness, unbelief, hopelessness and failure. 1Cor. 13:4-8; love is virtue, hate is a vice. They are non-complementary. Gal. 5:16. LESSON OUTLINE 1 COMPONENTS OF THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT i. The fruit of the spirit is one with many characteristics. Gal 5:22-23 ii. The fruit of the spirit is produced by the Holy Spirit. Gal5:16; 18. The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness and truth. James3:17-18 iii. The fruit of the Spirit is the fruit of reghteousness sown in peace , pure wisdom from above, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. Gal 5:22-23 iv. The Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit helped believers to conquer the godless nature of the flesh. Phil4:13; Gal5:18. CLASS ACTIVITY 1 Why is it difficult for the unbelievers to bear the fruit of the spirit? LESSON OUTLINE 2 LOVE i. There are three [3] fundamental categories of love. These are ‘Eros’, ‘Phileo’ and Agape ii. The Holy Spirit’s kind of love in believers is Agape iii. Love is a choice and not feeling iv. Agape is not very simple to explain because it goes beyond human imagination. For instance, how can we explain the love that made Jesus offer Himself for His friends and the whole world? John15:13; 1 John3:16; Luke6:35 and John3:16 v. God demonstrated true agape to sinful man by offering the Lord Jesus who was sinless. Rom5:8 vi. Believers are required to demonstrate love to God, Love to neighbours. Matthew22:35-40 vii. True love is demonstrated by believers through obedience to the commandments of God. 1 Cor.13:4-8 CLASS ACTIVITY 2 Find out what true love does not do according to 1Cor. 13:4-8 SUMMARY The first fruit of the Spirit is Agape’ kind of love CONCLUSION Believers must bear the fruit of love to God and neighbours always. EVALUATION What is agape kind of love? CLOSING PRAYER Father, help me to bring forth the fruit of love. ASSIGNMENT Using 1Cor. 13:4-8, Identify five differences between agape kind of love and non-agape love. Read more local and international daily Devotionals everyday here at www.muyilight.com |
Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily Devotional For December 2, 2017 : Topic - Free Your Faith Note :- Read more local and international daily Devotionals from the real Source here at www.muyilight.com Topic: Free Your Faith [Saturday December 2, 2017] And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any. - Mark 11:25 Few people realize just how closely connected faith and forgiveness are. Jesus taught about that connection in His sermon on mountain-moving faith that's recorded in Mark 11:22-26. He said, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive" (verses 24-25). Jesus backed those two sentences up together on purpose. He wanted us to know that releasing those who have wronged us is fundamental to receiving from God. He wanted to impress on our hearts the fact that we cannot have our prayers answered and hold grudges in our hearts at the same time. Unforgiveness clogs the faith channel and keeps you powerless against the mountains in your life! If you've been praying for something and you just can't seem to get an answer, check your heart for unforgiveness. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring any grudge that's hidden there to light. Unclog the channel of faith and you will soon see things you've been praying for come to pass. Scripture Reading: Matthew 18:21-35 This message was written by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, the leader of the Kenneth Copeland Ministries that specializes in teaching principles of bible faith - prayer, healing, salvation and other biblical topics. Andrew Wommack’s Daily Devotional For 1 December 2017 : Topic - Pilate Violates The Truth by Adegbola Akanni on December 01, 2017 in Andrew Wommack Devotional, Daily Devotion Read more local and international daily Devotionals from the source - www.muyilight.com Topic: Pilate Violates The Truth [Friday December 1, 2017] Matthew 27:17 "Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, 'Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ"? Although Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent, he looked for some diplomatic way to release Jesus that would not cause him to lose popularity with the Jewish leaders. This is why he sent Jesus to Herod. He hoped that Herod would pass judgment on Jesus and save him the trouble. When that scheme failed, Pilate drew on an old custom of releasing a prisoner to the people at the feast. He gave them a choice between Jesus, who he knew was innocent, and Barabbas, who was a murderer. Pilate thought that the crowd would certainly choose Jesus. However, through the insistence of the chief priests and scribes, the people chose Barabbas to be released. Pilate was now out of ideas as to how to let Jesus go, and still save face with the Jews, so he condemned Jesus to death. Pilate violated what he knew to be true in his heart because of a fear of men (Prov. 29:25) and what he thought they might do to him. Without the chief priests' cooperation, he ran the risk of unrest among the Jews, and possible punishment by Caesar for failing to govern well. As it turned out, Pilate was deposed anyway, just a few years later by Tiberius Caesar, and died in exile in Gaul in A.D. 41. At the most, Pilate gained a five-year extension of his troubled rule, and damned his soul in the process. What a person compromises to keep, he'll lose. Sin is never worth the price. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 30 November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Topic - Depression- An Enemy Of Restoration by Adegbola Akanni on November 30, 2017 in Daily Devotion, Pastor Paul Enenche Read more different Devotionals at the source - www.muyilight.com Topic: Depression- An Enemy Of Restoration [Thursday November 30, 2017] Scripture: Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David was greatly distressed… 1 Sam 30:4 and 6a Thought For The Day: There is no celebration in depression, and there can be no restoration where there is depression. Medically, depression is viewed as an illness that involves the body, mood and thought of a person. Simply put, depression is an act of feeling sad and suppressed emotionally. Depression is an enemy of acceleration and restoration. There can be no restoration in depression. Where there is depression, restoration is scarce. Our anchor scripture shows that David wept until there was no strength to weep again. The truth is, depression deprives a person of energy to pursue. And what is not pursued cannot be restored. The inability to pursue is the reason for deficiency in restoration. Depression is a confirmation of defeat. You cannot be depressed and attain your destiny. There is no celebration in depression, and there can be no restoration where there is depression. My counsel is, determine to maintain a permanent atmosphere of excitement around your life. Whatever the devil wants you to do, do the opposite – if he wants you sad, be glad, if he wants you depressed, jubilate, if he wants you to mourn, make merriment. I prophesy the restoration of joy and celebration in your life, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: There is no celebration in depression and there can be no restoration where there is depression. Assignment(S): 1. Make up your mind to avoid depression as you would avoid cancer 2. Be happy! Bishop David Oyedepo Teaching :.Topic - Sustaining the anointing! by Adegbola Akanni on November 28, 2017 in Bishop David Oyedepo, Inspirational Stories Note : Read more daily Devotional and spiritual digest from the source: - www.muyilight.com Topic: Sustaining the anointing! From scriptures, we recognise that the anointing of the Holy Spirit, among others empowers the redeemed to command exploits. For instance, Jesus Christ was a carpenter’s son for 30 years without an identity. However, when He returned in the power of the Holy Spirit, He was loaded with divinity and the Bible records that His fame went throughout all Judea and to the entire regions roundabout. We also saw from scriptures how 120 fearful disciples, who hid in the Upper room after the death of Jesus commanded exploits in Jerusalem and around the world after being empowered by the Holy Ghost (Luke 4:18-John 20:19-22; Acts 2:1-41). However, as we all know, the reason many precious things don’t last with us is because we don’t know how to maintain them. For instance, it is not enough to acquire a car but we must also understand the need to maintain it, if it must keep serving us. Likewise, it is one thing to be anointed; it is yet another to sustain it. People who do not know how to maintain the anointing will eventually lose it. While some people only manage to sustain the unction upon their lives for 5 years, very few retain it for 15 years. There are men who used to be renowned in times past, but who have lost relevance because their anointing is stale. Unfortunately, when the anointing leaves a man, he loses relevance and as such everything about him is affected. But that is not God’s plan for the redeemed. In actual fact, God’s plan for us is not only for the anointing to last our lifetime, but to outlive us, just as experienced by Elisha. Remember, even when Elisha was in the grave, his bones could revive a dead man placed in the same grave with him. That means, he carried his anointing with him to the grave. Jesus who also did same was quickened from the dead by the Spirit of God. As it is written: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11). With this, we understand that it is possible to sustain the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Nevertheless, there is no short cut to maintaining the anointing as there are vital forces for preserving it; when they are engaged, we will remain freshly anointed all the days of our lives. It takes consecration: Consecration is the first vital price to pay to preserve the anointing. It is impossible to sustain the anointing when we are living in sin. Sin stinks and sinks. Thus, once we become comfortable with it, we are on the way to losing the anointing. So, it is wisdom to do something definite to arrest the sin that easily besets us, or it will hinder the flow of the anointing upon our lives like it did to Samson. We saw how Samson the anointed, became a toy in the hands of his enemies as a result of the sin of adultery. This shows that sin is a trap that destroys great destinies. Beware! It takes fellowship: A fellowship centre is a place of fire. Remember that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. But if by chance that candle goes out, when we come into a fellowship centre where the fire is burning, the fire can be rekindled(Proverbs 27:17; Hebrews 10:25). It takes Kingdom Service: Serving God and the interest of His Kingdom offers unmatchable returns, which in turn, sustains our anointing. That means, we are bound to be anointed with fresh oil when we are dedicated with Kingdom service. Fasting and prayer: Fasting and prayer is another platform for sustaining the anointing. It is important to understand that while we pray to be empowered, we need fasting to walk in power. On the other hand, fasting and prayer enhances our access to the Word which in turn, sustains our anointing. It takes the Word: What wood is to fire is what the Word of God is to the Anointing. When we stop putting in the wood, the fire is bound to go out. So it is with the Word of God. Remember, no Word; no Anointing! So to always maintain the fire of the Holy Ghost already kindled in us, we must constantly engage the Word of God. Staying anointed requires that we stay in the Word. Every moment we spend in the Word will count in sustaining the anointing. Nevertheless, sustaining the anointing begins with being born again, otherwise, your effort to sustain it will be wasted. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!” For further reading, please get my books: Anointing for Breakthrough, Understanding the Anointing, Anointing for Exploits, Release of Power. CAC LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE For Monday, November 27, 2017 : Topic - A SAVIOUR FOR ALL by Adegbola Akanni on November 27, 2017 in CAC Living Water, Daily Devotion READ more local and foreign daily Devotional @ the source - www.muyilight.com LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE Monday, November 27, 2017 A SAVIOUR FOR ALL READ: John 12:32 MEMORISE: And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. John 12:32 As we read the gospel story, we are surprised to see how few persons were really drawn to Christ during His life. Crowds followed Him, many from curiosity, but very few were drawn to Him in heart and life. We see, at the last, the few around the cross; there was but a little handful of clinging friends about His cross. It was not until He had made His great sacrifice, after having been lifted up on the cross that all men began to be drawn to Him. Why was the influence of a crucified Jesus so much greater than that of a living, miracle-working Jesus? For one reason, the death of Christ revealed the wonderful love of God. All His sweet, gentle, helpful life told of love, too: but it was when He went to His cross that the full, rich glory of the Divine love was manifested. And love always draws. It is love that men need, and wherever they find it, they want to come and rest in its warmth and tenderness. Another reason why Jesus draws most powerfully after He had been lifted up, is because the Divine Spirit is present to work on human hearts and lives. Without the drawing of the Spirit, none would ever come to Christ (John 6:44). After the precious blood had been poured out, men would come to Christ, as they are being drawn, by the Holy Ghost. Have you been drawn? Have you come to Christ? Today, the Saviour calls; oh sinner, come. Tomorrow might be too late. PRAYER POINTS 1. I open up my heart, oh Spirit Divine; come upon me and enlighten me to do God's will. 2. Let the power of Christ's death break the worldly forces pulling me away from the Saviour. 3. Dear loving Saviour, please, draw the hearts of our families, friends and neighbours who are yet far away, to Your saving knowledge. Seeds of Destiny Devotional For 25 November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche : Topic — It Is Not Lost by Adegbola Akanni on November 25, 2017 in Daily Devotion, Pastor Paul Enenche @ www.muyilight.com Topic: It Is Not Lost [Saturday November 25, 2017] Scripture: And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found… 1 Samuel 9:20a Thought For The Day: There is nothing so lost that cannot be found by the help of God The word lost refers to the state of something or someone being displaced, misplaced or missing. Our anchor Scripture reveals to us that the missing Asses of Kish, Saul’s father were found even though they had been lost for days. This shows that there is nothing that is so lost that cannot be found by the help of God. The truth is, whatever cannot be found is in existence somewhere in one form or the other. For instance, if you heat water for a long period of time, the water would evaporate. The evaporation of the water does not mean the non-existence of the water. It may look like the water is lost, but it is not, it only changed form. It changed from the liquid state to the gaseous state. Beloved, it is possible your resources, favours, fruits of the womb, marriage, opportunities, certificates, breakthroughs etc, have not entered your hands because of some witchcraft or satanic manipulations. But today, by the mantle of restoration on my life, I apply pressure on the invisible realm where what is yours are tied. I command them to be released for you now, in Jesus’ Name. Remember This: There is nothing so lost that cannot be found by the help of God Assignment (S): 1. Rely on God for the restoration of anything missing from your life and destiny. 2. Connect with the power of God via revelations from scriptures that will facilitate the restoration you desire in your life and destiny. FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: SECRETS OF RESTORATION Prayer: O LORD, I connect Your power to collect all that is mine in the realm of the spirit in Jesus’ Name. , he will not reap what he has sown. This is done for the purpose of loosing a person from the bondage that Satan desires to hold him in, until he sees the light and repents. This is only a temporary situation and must be continually repeated if the person we are praying for continues to live in sin.
