Christianity EtcThe Secret: The 8 Reasons To Keep Praying Even When You Want To Quit by DailyDevotion1(op): 6:46am On Jan 30, 2018
Prayer is one of the most important disciplines in the Christian faith. It is our connection to the Creator of this world and the Savior of our souls. When a Christian makes it a habit to pray every day, he or she experiences the benefits of communing with God on such an intimate level.

Source - www.muyilight.com

There are times however, that no matter how faithful you are to God and how strong your walk with the Lord is, prayer is simply difficult. So difficult in fact, you may want to just stop praying all together.

Maybe you've been praying for the same thing for years and you've grown tired, weary, and wonder if God even hears you anymore. Or cares.

Maybe you don't want to get your hopes up by praying about a particular situation because you doubt it will really turn out as you desire.

Maybe you're scared to pray because you fear God's answer may not be what you are hoping for.

Maybe your prayer life has become monotonous and feels more like a chore than a blessing.

Despite its many benefits, prayer is a spiritual discipline that we sometimes just want to quit doing. If you've found yourself feeling this way I want to encourage you with 8 reasons why you should keep praying even when you want to quit.

1) OUR FEELINGS DON'T REFLECT GOD'S TRUTH

If you want to quit praying because you've given up hope that God will answer your prayers, I want you to think on this truth:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28 NIV
We can trust God is working on our behalf for our good even if it doesn't feel like it. The truth is if it's not good, then God's not done. And if God's not done then neither are we. So let's hold on to God's truth over our feelings and wait patiently on Him.

2) God's Silence Does Not Mean His Absence

We can wait patiently on God to answer our prayers when we understand God heard us the first time we prayed. Think of Daniel from the Bible. For three weeks Daniel prayed and fasted for God to answer his prayer and he did not stop praying until he received an answer. In Daniel chapter 9 we read that God sent and angel to give Daniel understanding about his prayer the first time he prayed.
How encouraging is it to know that those prayers you’ve been praying were heard the very first time? God starts moving in the heavenly realm to answer your prayers even when it looks like nothing is happening, when it looks like you’ve waited beyond your waiting point, and there is no sign or clue in sight of what you’ve been waiting for.

3) PRAYER GOES BEYOND MAKING REQUESTS AND WAITING FOR RESULTS

Prayer changes lives. However, it does not always change our circumstance. Many times prayer changes our perspective and how we respond to our circumstance well before anything in our lives actually changes. As we make our requests to God there is usually time between our petition and God actually answering. We still need to pray during this time because prayer goes far beyond making requests to God. It's about connecting with Him and aligning our will to His. It's in this type of prayer where we really see change occur not only in our situation but more importantly in our hearts.

4) Prayer Works

Prayer brings healing, power, strength, and comfort when we actually take the time to pray. There are things we may forfeit if we give up on praying. James tells us: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16 NIV

5) PRAYER ALLOWS THE POWER OF GOD INTO OUR LIVES

You may be wondering why even pray if God already knows what we need? Well, there are simply some things in our lives that require prayer before God releases them to us. When Jesus' disciples were unable to heal a possessed boy in Mark 9, the boy's father asked if Jesus could save the boy. Of course Jesus could and He did. When Jesus' disciples asked why they were unable to heal the boy as Jesus did Jesus replied:
“This kind can come out only by prayer.” – Mark 9:29 NIV
There are just certain things that only come into our lives through the power of prayer.

Daily Walk To Eternity :- Season 1 Episode 1 ( FOCUS ON THOSE THINGS THAT BUILD )
by MuyiLight on August 11, 2017 in Daily Walk To Eternity, Motivational Stories

FOCUS ON THOSE THINGS THAT BUILD

1 Corinthians 10:23-33 All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
My sister worked as a waitress right out of high school. Once they hired a new waitress and one of her first comments was “What can we get away with around here?” She didn’t last long. Everyone wants to know what they can do without getting in trouble. Some people call this walking the fence.

The problem with walking the fence is the eventually you are going fall and and end up with splinters. The key isn’t to see what you can get away with but to focus on the things that are helpful and beneficial. Paul is very clear that we are not to seek our own good. There are many areas in our life where we can walk the line between sin and liberty. It may be okay to do but it definitely may not be the best thing for you.

As Christians we are going through a process called sanctification. That means we are being set apart from the world and our old life and being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. Some days it’s two steps forward and one back.

Other days it’s threes steps back and one forward. Fortunately God is patient and will stick with the process until we are in His presence. With that in mind we need to set our mind on that process and put behinds us our old habits. Cultivate new habits like seeking the good of our neighbors and how we can serve them.

TOPIC: Envy And Jealousy [Sunday, 28th January 2018]

MEMORY VERSE: “And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.” - Genesis 37:19

BIBLE PASSAGE: Genesis 37:3-4, 9-11

3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

INTRODUCTION:

Envy comes from the Latin word: "in video" meaning to see against or look with ill mind. Jealousy involves suspicious fear or apprehension. While envy denotes a longing to possess something awarded to or achieved by another (Genesis 26:14; 30:1), jealousy denotes a feeling or resentment that another has gained something one may desire (1Samuel 18:6-9).

Envy and jealousy are works of the flesh. They are traits of the Christian's former ways of life which need to be completely dealt with (Titus 3:3).

LESSON OUTLINES:

1. Evil effects of envy and jealousy
2. How to overcome envy and jealousy

EVIL EFFECTS OF ENVY AND JEALOUSY

1. Envy or jealousy can deny one from inheriting the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).

2. It could lead to anger, self-destruction or divine wrath (Genesis 27:41; Proverbs 27:4; Numbers 12:5-10).

3. It could create an avenue of separation from God (1Samuel 18:7-10).

4. It could also bring about personal harm or weaken one's physical, spiritual and emotional well-being (Job 5:2; Proverbs 14:30).

5. It manifests the deceitfulness of sin and human immorality apart from the intervention of God's redeeming grace (Romans 1:28-32).

6. It could tear believers apart (Genesis 13:7-8; 1Corinthians 3:3-5).

7. It can degenerate to gang up against others (Daniel 6:3-4).

HOW TO OVERCOME ENVY AND JEALOUSY

1. Be content with what you have (Proverbs 15:16; 1Timothy 6:6).

2. Deal with the thought of envy or jealousy and do not allow it have foothold in your mind (Romans 12:2; 1Samuel 18:cool.

3. Let the faithful avoid the company of the ungodly people (Psalm 1:1; 2Corinthians 6:14-16).

4. Allow the power of the Holy Spirit to subdue all forms of carnality by walking in the Spirit (1Corinthians 3:3; Galatians 5:16; 1Peter 2:1).

5. Make the word of God your guide and the grace of God your support (Psalm 119:11, 105; Colossians 3:16).

CONCLUSION:

Whoever envies or is jealous of another confesses the superiority of that person and we do not need to be blinded by these against our own weaknesses or sins. When we understand where these feelings of discontent come from, we can learn how to deal with same in more healthy and adaptive ways.

QUESTIONS:

1. What are the evil effects of envy or jealousy?
2. Mention five ways of overcoming envy or jealousy.

Christianity EtcThe Secret :- The 7 Powerful Ways To Hear From God by DailyDevotion1(op): 6:08am On Jan 27, 2018
It saddens me when I hear Christians say that God only speaks to preachers or “spiritual” people and not to them. I believe that God speaks to all His children – but are you expecting Him too?
God longs for us to know his will and his words to us. Though a Christian might walk through a season of silence or quietness, they shouldn’t confuse that with God’s absence. And God never leaves us without a way to hear from him.
So how does God speak? Here are 7 ways that I have found…

1. THROUGH HIS WORD

The Word of God is at the top of the list. God’s words are powerful. They can create something out of nothing – take Genesis chapter 1, which describes how God spoke and things were created. The unseen was brought into the seen world.
We have an abundance of written material available to us – the most that there has been in history. From printed books, magazines, blogs and digital books. We are inundated with the written word. With so many words available, it is easy to treat The Word as one of the many options for our soul food. We need to continually remind ourselves that The Word of God (The Bible) is not just a collection of 66 books but an “integrated message system…which is outside our dimensions of space and time.” (Chuck Missler)
Reading, meditating and praying the Word has the power to change our mindsets, emotions and circumstances. It is truly our soul food. If we don’t fill ourselves up with God’s Word/food we will instinctively look for soul food elsewhere. This could be emotional eating, drugs, materialism, worldly “feel good” opinions etc.
Believe that every morning when you open up your Bible App or your physical Bible, the words that you read and digest hold power – they are seed that if planted in a heart that is expecting God to speak and act will produce a powerful effect on your life.

2. THROUGH CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER BELIEVERS

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. - Romans 1:11-12 ESV
We are created to communicate – a spirit that speaks. God created us that way. When believers get together and share their personal experiences with God – how He speaks to them and answers to prayer – something happens in our spirits. We become strengthened in our inner selves. As Paul wrote in Romans, we are mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. I don’t think this happens enough. We expect a church program to fill this gap but we miss the opportunity for regular encouragement.
I am so grateful that I have people in my life who are open to having these types of conversations. If you don’t, pray about it. Ask God to bring along someone who you can share your faith experiences with and listen to theirs. It may be that there is someone in your life already but you both have been talking about everything else and God hasn’t featured. Why do we not talk about God? I find myself falling into this trap also.

3. THROUGH NATURE

For his (God’s) invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made… - Romans 1:20
God speaks of His character in the things that He has made – without a doubt. Every time I go for a walk and see or hear a bird – I am always reminded of Matthew 6 where Jesus says, “Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” I feel God gently saying to me, every time – Rachel, I have your back just like I provide for the birds, which I have made, I also have provided and will continue to provide for you.
When I see a rainbow, I remember His promise to mankind – never again will I flood the earth and kill everybody. I remember His promises to me – to never, ever leave me or forsake me.
Every time I walk near my parents home where the mountains are the backdrop, I remember the verse “I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1
God’s creation reminds us of His character and promises. Ask God to reveal more of Himself to you personally through what He has made.

4. THROUGH GOOD BOOKS

I love books. God speaks to me through reading other people’s experiences of God. It is sort of like going to lunch with the author and downloading everything that they have learned.
If I was forced to choose just one Christian book it would be Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God by Henry & Richard Blackaby. Experiencing God helps you to listen to God’s voice and it frees you to live God’s plan with boldness and freedom. When I look back over my life I can pinpoint times when I moved up a level in my Christian walk and reading this book was one of those times.

5. THROUGH RESTFUL TIMES
“Be still, and know that I am God” - Psalm 46:10
It seems to be that in the restful times, when we pause from life, that we hear God speak more often. God is wanting us to come away from the hustle of life, pause and just sit with Him. Once we are in that position of stillness then we can know God in a clearer way. I spent a year thinking and acting on the word PAUSE – here is a 31 days series on being still and seeing God more clearly. If you are having trouble hearing from God – maybe pull away for a time period from the noise of media, people and distractions and just become still. Turn off the radio or podcasts on the drive to work and just ponder God. Take 10 minutes daily to just sit and ask God to reveal more of Himself to you.

6. THROUGH SIMPLE ACTIONS

Faith without works/actions is dead. Sometimes God’s voice becomes clearer when we act on what we already know or have been shown by the Spirit. If you haven’t heard from God in a while – go back to the last time that you did. Was there something that God told you to do or was there a verse of Scripture that challenged you? Have you put that into action? God is into moving us one step at a time. We can’t move forward until we have acted on what God has shown us.

7. THROUGH DREAMS/VISIONS

“Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven” - Daniel 2:19
God also uses our sleep to reveal His thoughts to us. The Scriptures record many occasions where this has happened. God has given me many articles and inspiration for books and sermons during the night. I guess it’s a time when we are still and open to hearing Him speak. There was an occasion when I wasn’t sure on how to pray for my family. I asked God to show me how I should pray for them at that time. God showed me a picture image of a house with different rooms. No lights were on. Then the light switch in the kitchen was turned on and scrumptious food was being prepared. Through that simple image God showed me the importance of good soul food (God’s Word) and to pray for the “kitchen light” to be turned on in my family’s life so that they can be truly nourished.

The Secret : The Purpose Driven Life By Best selling Author, Inspirational Speaker ( RICK WARREN )
by MuyiLight 3 on January 20, 2018 in Rick Warren Devotional, The Secrets

This testimony has blown me apart. May I I live for Him alone not for the things of this world. Read it soberly....

*RICK WARREN'S (BEST selling Author, Inspirational Speaker) Interview.....*

Pls Read this:

This is an absolutely incredible short interview with *Rick Warren,*
*'Purpose Driven Life'* author and
Pastor of *Saddleback Church in California.*

--In the interview by *Paul Bradshaw* with *Rick Warren,*

Rick said:
*--People ask me, What is the purpose of life?*

*--And I respond:*
In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

--One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the *end of my body*-- but not the *end of me.*

--I may live *60 to 100 years on earth*, but I am going to spend *trillions of years in eternity.*
This is the warm-up act --the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity..

--We were made by *God and for God*, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to *make sense.*

--Life is a series of problems:
*Either you are in one now,* OR *you're just coming out of one,* OR *you're getting ready to go into another one.*

--The reason for this is that *God is more interested* in *your character* than *your comfort;* God is more interested in making *your life holy* than He is in making *your life happy.*

--We can be *reasonably happy* here on earth, but that's not *the goal of life.* The goal is to grow in *character, in Christ likeness.*

--No matter how *good* things are in your life, there is always something *bad* that *needs to be worked on.*

--And no matter how *bad* things are in your life, there is always something *good* you can *thank God* for.

Christianity EtcPastor Benny Hinn : The 7 Keys To An Intimate Relationship With The Holy Spirit by DailyDevotion1(op): 6:23am On Jan 25, 2018
Four days before Christmas 1973, I went with a friend of mine, Jim Poynter, on a charter bus trip from Toronto to Pittsburgh for a Kathryn Kuhlman meeting. It would be a day that would change my life forever!
I knew very little about her ministry, yet when we arrived at the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Pittsburgh, hundreds of people were already there, though the doors wouldn’t open for several hours.

As I stood in line, I suddenly began to quiver. Nothing like that had ever happened before. It didn’t stop. I was too embarrassed to tell Jim or anyone around me. Even when we got to our seats on the third row in the auditorium, the shaking continued. The longer it continued, the more beautiful it became.
Then Kathryn Kuhlman appeared on stage. The atmosphere in the building changed immediately. Everyone began singing, “How Great Thou Art.” Tears gushed down my face. It was a feeling of intense glory. I was literally singing the words from my soul.

“CAN I MEET YOU? CAN I REALLY MEET YOU?”

In my young Christian experience, God had touched me before, but never as He was touching me that day. It was as if the waves of a gentle breeze were flowing around me.
As the evangelist began ministering to the crowd, I was so lost in the Spirit that all I could whisper was, “Dear Jesus, please have mercy on me.” I felt so unworthy. Again and again, I said the words. During the next three hours, the service may have seemed long to some, but it seemed like a fleeting moment. I saw the deaf hearing, people rising from wheelchairs, and so much more.

Then everything stopped. I prayed silently, “Please, Lord, don’t ever let this meeting end.”
I suddenly noticed that Kathryn was burying her head in her hands, sobbing so loudly that everything came to a standstill. Then, standing just a few feet in front of me, her eyes seemed aflame as she took on a boldness I had never seen in anyone before.
She began pleading as she looked out over the audience, “Please, don’t grieve the Holy Spirit.”
Even today, more than 43 years later, I can still see her eyes. It was as if she was looking straight at me.
Then she said, “Don’t you understand? He’s all I’ve got!”
I thought, “What is she talking about?”

She continued speaking, “Please! Don’t wound Him. He’s all I’ve got. Don’t wound the One I love!”
I will never forget those words. I can remember the intensity of her breathing when she said them. Those moments are etched permanently into my memory. Then she pointed her finger down at me and said with such powerful clarity, “He’s more real than anything in the world!”
At that moment, I cried and said, “I’ve got to have this!”

Within moments, the service was over. I was shaken to the core. God had used that service and that mighty evangelist to reveal His power that day. All the way back to Toronto, I kept thinking, “What did she mean? What was she saying when she talked about the Holy Spirit?”
I was totally exhausted when I arrived home, but I couldn’t sleep. As I lay on my bed, I felt as if someone was pulling me off the mattress and onto my knees. It was a strange sensation, but I didn’t resist. I had never spoken to the Holy Spirit before. I didn’t know He could be addressed that way.
Finally, I prayed, “Holy Spirit, Kathryn Kuhlman says You are her Friend. I don’t think I know You. Now, before today I thought I did. But after that meeting, I realize I really don’t. I don’t think I know You.”

Then, like a child with my hands raised, I asked, “Can I meet You? Can I really meet You?” A few brief moments passed, then like a jolt of electricity, my body began to quiver all over again, exactly as I had experienced at the church in Pittsburgh.
I was afraid to open my eyes. I felt like a warm blanket of God’s power was wrapped all over me. That continued until I finally dropped off to sleep that night. Even then, I still didn’t realize all that had happened to me.

A NEW INTIMACY

The next morning, three days before Christmas, I awoke, and the first words I spoke to my newfound Friend were, “Good morning, Holy Spirit!”
At that instant, I knew He was there with me. As I opened my Bible, He was there sitting beside me. From that moment, everything about the Bible, my prayer life, my worship, and my relationship with God took on an entirely new dimension.
For the next eight hours I had an incredible experience with the Holy Spirit that changed the course of my life forever. Tears of wonderment and joy coursed down my cheeks.
I had just turned 21. Christmas was approaching, yet I had already received the best present ever!
Less than a year later, God would open the door for me to step behind a pulpit to preach for the first time, and in that moment He would simultaneously heal a life-long stuttering problem and give birth to a ministry that would eventually reach around the globe.

That’s why, more than four decades later, I can tell you with every fiber in my being that the Holy Spirit desires to have an intimate relationship with you. It’s possible! And it begins with a hunger to know Him—to really know Him!

7 KEYS TO AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Walking intimately with the Holy Spirit is not something unique to only a few passionate believers. Far from it!
In fact, I truly believe that every Christian is to be thirsty and hungry for God’s presence and power. The psalmist wrote, “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God” (Psalm 32:1-2).
We must be thirsty and hungering for Him, knowing that only He “satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness” (Psalm 107:9). Unfortunately, we often try to fill that longing with substitutes.

Topic: Meeting Spiritual Needs [Billy Graham’s Daily Wednesday January 24th, 2018]

Go and make disciples in all the nations . . . — Matthew 28:19 (TLB)

Christian missions is unique in the aggressive movements of history. Christianity in its pure form has no “axe to grind,” no system to foster, and no profit motivation. Its job is simply to “seek and to save that which is lost.” Nothing more, nothing less. The words “apostle” and “missionary” mean the same thing: “One who is sent.” The word apostle is from the Greek; and the word missionary is from the Latin.

The New Testament is a book of missions. The Gospels tell of Jesus’ missionary accomplishments, and the Acts tell of the missionary endeavors of the apostles. The disciples were launched into the world by the power of the resurrection, and the Gospel made its impact upon the world’s people. Peter went to Lydda, Joppa, Antioch, Babylon, and Asia Minor. John went to Samaria, Ephesus, and to the cities on the Mediterranean. Thomas journeyed to far away India. Paul, the peer of all early missionaries, used the roads Rome had built to take the Gospel through the Empire. Today the need for missions is greater than ever before! The world is shrinking in size but expanding in population. We live in a world of conflicting, confusing beliefs! We live in a world of complex problems! But, more important, we live in a world of dire spiritual need.

Prayer for the day: Father, help me to be a light in this world of darkness, ready for each opportunity to share Your love with those whose spiritual needs are great.

Written by Billy Graham, Founder of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association(BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.

SATAN TAKES TO HEIGHTS

 READ Matthew 4:1--11
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' "
5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "
7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.' "
8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9 And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "
11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

MEMORISE:
Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. (Matthew 4:cool

EXPOSITION

The temptation of Jesus after the 40-day-40-night marathon fasting and prayer, is a perfect model to help us overcome the temptations the devil brings our ways, today (Heb.4: 15--16).

Satan took Jesus to a height, in the second temptation, and challenged Him to unduly put His divine power to test. He wanted Him to demonstrate pride, as opposed to His humble and sacrificial lifestyle. Jesus crushed Satan's craftiness by the true Power of His Word( Matt. 4:5--7).

Satan wouldn't just give up like that, knowing that it would be the greatest opportunity he would have to bring down the physically emaciated Jesus due to the long fasting period. He took Him again to an exceedingly high mountain. To do what? After showing Him the apparent beauties of this world, he asked Him to bow to him (Satan) to have all of them (v 8--9). He tempted Jesus to win the world, not by the way of the shame-laden Cross. What a great temptation.

Had Jesus fallen for the deceitful advances, it would have amounted to Him crashing from those great heights, and that would have foreshadowed grave danger for Himself and the entire universe. But He couldn't, wouldn't and didn't fail or fall for that.

When the devil takes a man to a height as high as the man's height, the crash might be ignorable. But when it happens from some-where as high as Mount Everest in spiritual comparison, the individual would crash loud, with a deafening noise. Satan hasn't quit his nefarious business of tempting God's people, like He did to Jesus. Thank God, temptation is no sin. Above all,we have His provision in His Son,to overcome ALL temptations (1Cor. 10:13; Heb.4:15,16). Do you visit Him regularly for His sanctifying and sustaining Power?

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, I come to You for Your cleansing Power. Purge me of every tendency that can lead to my falling away from You.
2. Lord, help me, so that when the devil takes me to the heights of temptation, his tactics would always fail over my life.
3. Pray for sisters who are being tempted to give in to fornication because of the challenges of marital and job delays.

Yesterday, I started sharing with you on the marks of a man that knows the Lord. We’ll continue from there today.
6.The man who knows the Lord knows His person: In Exodus 33:18, after Moses had told the Lord that he wanted to see the Lord's glory and the Lord told him it was impossible, the Lord offered to allow Moses see His back (please read Exo.34:l –7).

To know the Lord is to know and be fully aware that there is a goodness, severity, and fearful side of Him (2Cor. 5:10 – 11; Heb. 12:28 – 29; 1 Cor. 10:1 –12). To know the Lord is to know that the same person who calls Himself a Lamb is also a Lion.

7.The man who knows the Lord will be faithful to the covenants of God. He understands the covenants and their implications. He will not allow the enemy to corrupt him by flattery and so will not act wickedly against the Lord (Daniel 11:32a).

8.The man who knows the Lord will fear Him: To fear the Lord is to have a deep holy reverence for Him and everything that belongs to the Him. David the king knew the Lord, but when the matter of Uriah came up in 2 Samuel 11, the Lord turned against him and handed over judgment to him. From that point, he began to see God from another point of view. His perspective of God changed! This is the fear of the Lord. Not that a man is unnecessarily afraid of God, but that he knows God’s character enough to know that even though He is a merciful God, He is not one to be taken for granted.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to have and cultivate a heart that fears and reverences the Lord in all my ways in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Topic: World Agreement Day! [Our Daily Manna ODM Sunday, January 21st, 2018]

Basic Scripture: Matthew 18:14-20

Welcome to this devotional encounter with he that is called “The Bishop our souls” and your STRONG TOWER! Look at what He has done: Dear Dr. Chris, I am Ruby from Lagos. I was feeling some pain in the side of my abdomen for a while. One of my siblings said it could be fibroid and that really scared me, but I immediately rejected it! I then went to my room and used the Agreement prayer page of the war against Haman 12 booklet and also placed it on where the pain was coming from and to the glory of God, the pain disappeared and never returned again; it was an instant miracle!

I pray that God will continue to move you and the ministry forward in Jesus name! I thank God for using you to touch many lives positively (from Ruby, +2347062977772). Wonderful Jesus! The Agreement prayer was a vision I got from the lord many years ago and millions have been blessed worldwide through it. I may not be able to get to your house, church, village or city, but THE ANOINTING HAS NO BOUNDARY because of Matthew 18:19. “Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by my father which is in heaven.” I can agree with you wherever you are on the surface of the earth.

TODAY IS OUR WORLD AGREEMENT DAY IN THIS FASTING PROGRAM. Go to page 55 of the war against Haman 13 and agree with me by faith. There shall be testimonies and decorations in Jesus name! Those that hate you shall run mad! You shall break forth to the right and to the left! A NEW LABEL shall come upon you for good! You shall eat the riches of the gentiles! Rise and fall syndrome will scatter! Your shame shall turn to double fame! The healing that will shock the world will manifest in you! Every waster shall be waste this year concerning you! The testimony of, “can this be true?” shall come from your life/ministry!

The lord shall remember you especially from this day and EVERY EVIL HAND WILL WITHER as you agree with me! Disappointment will become divine appointments! Stagnation will dry up! Your marital settlement will shock the world! Where you heard NO last year, you shall hear YES this year!

This is your year of “YES” because the sun and moon shall work to FAVOUR you by the anointing in Jesus name! Lift up your hands and begin to worship the lord as you come to tafawa Balewa square, Lagos for the CHANGE OF GARMENT AND DECORATION NIGHT. Sow your CHANGE OF GARMENT seed, then come with a dress you can afford to tear that night apart from the one you are wearing to the program. This is your year! Amen!

TODAY IS DAY 16 of this 21 day fasting program. Turn to WAR AGAINST HAMAN-13 for today’s special prayers! Evil hands will WITHER!

Prayer Points: Take your best worship song to God.
Thank God for today’s word and pray as you are led!
As i agree with my prophet today through the AGREEMENT PAGE of War against Haman-13 booklet, O lord arise and fulfill every prophetic word in today’s write up and beyond.
Pray for the testifier and family today!

TOPIC: Integrity - Part 2 [Sunday, 21st January 2018]

MEMORY VERSE: “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" - Job 1:8

BIBLE PASSAGE: Genesis 39:1-13

1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,

INTRODUCTION:
Men and women of integrity are very few, even among the so called children of God. Are you a man or woman of integrity? Can God vouch for you as He did for Job (Job 2:3)? King David in Psalm 25:21 affirmed by saying "let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee."

LESSON OUTLINES:
1. Biblical heroes of integrity
2. Scope and rewards for integrity

BIBICAL HEROES OF INTEGRITY
The Bible has records of people that exhibited integrity. They include among others Abimelech, the King of Gerar (Genesis 20:3-7), Joseph (Genesis 47:14), Samuel (1Samuel 12:3-4), King David (1Kings 9:4), Job (Job 2:3, 9-10), Apostle Paul (Acts 20:32-33) and our Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:30).

SCOPE AND REWARDS FOR INTEGRITY
As believers, we need to demonstrate integrity in all aspects of human endeavours. In speech (James 1:19; Proverbs 8:7-cool, in time management (Ephesians 5:15-17; John 9:4), in finance (1Corinthians 4:2; Genesis 47:14), in relationship with the opposite sex (1Corinthians 5:1; 1Samuel 2:12, 22-23; Judges 16:1,4), in keeping promises and paying of vows (Ecclesiastes 5:4-5), etc.

Integrity, although costly, has great rewards. These include - God vouching for you (Job 2:3), keeps you from falling into sin (Genesis 39:9), brings peace (Psalm 37:37), guides one's steps (Proverbs 11:3), preserves a man (Psalm 25:21-22), and brings generational blessings (Proverbs 20:7).

CONCLUSION:
God is pure and He expects His children to be pure too (Matthew 5:48, 2Timothy 2:19). No matter your claims, if you are not a man or woman of integrity, your Christianity is questionable. Remember that only the pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:cool.

QUESTIONS:
1. In what areas are we expected to show integrity?
2. Mention some rewards of integrity.

Topic: DISTRESSED?
Read: Genesis 21:11-20

MEMORISE: _Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest._ (Matthew 11:28)

EXPOSITION:
The police department and other security agencies have the culture of rolling out certain numbers for easy contacts, especially, for people who are in distress. Any contact made during such time is known as, distress call.

Are you distressed? Today's text makes it clear that there is always a voice of hope and help available to as many as are depressed, destabilised, disturbed, discouraged, disillusioned and debilitated *(Genesis 21:15-19)*. No one is distressed than someone in a confused state, who does not know the next line of action. Such a person is worn out and under pressure. Do you feel that you are finding it difficult to see any road in sight, leading to your expected end? There is a divine voice approaching you for way out and unimaginable solution to your multifaceted dilemma. This is the voice of hope reaching you via the Living Water today.

Abraham was in the same situation you are right now, several years ago. He was confused, not knowing what to do. Right in the middle of his challenges, the voice came to him, just as the voice of Jesus is resoundingly coming to anyone, today, who is laden with untold hardship and serious battering by the devil *(Matthew 11:28)*. The only One who can guarantee you rest and comfort is Jesus, and He is beckoning to You to come and find rest for your burdened soul in Him, NOW *(Jeremiah 33:3)*. Are you weary and troubled, tell it to Jesus. You'll be glad you did.

*PRAYER POINTS*
*1.* Lord, I come to You, to receive Your rest and comfort.
*2.* Lord, give every believer who is undergoing tough and trying times, the grace to go through without fainting and faltering.
*3.* Lord, meet me at the point of my distress and bring succour to me as you met Abraham, in Jesus' name.

Topic: Build Up [Teens’ Open Heavens Friday 19, January 2018]

Memorise: "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,” - Jude 1:20

Read: Exodus 3:20-21

20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.

21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

Bible In One Year: Genesis 44-45, Matthew 14:1-21

MESSAGE:

The Holy Spirit, just like the wind, can move gently or aggressively. If you can cooperate with Him, He can do incredible things through you. Whenever you ask God to do something for you or through you, He will look inside you to know how much of His Spirit you carry. He may not do beyond the measure of His Spirit within you. So if you are praying for a mighty move of God but you have a little measure of His Spirit in your life, you are praying amiss. If you want God to answer your prayer, work on yourself first by getting more and more of His presence, power and grace through spending more time with the Holy Spirit; developing a better relationship with Him; praising, thanking and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth; feasting daily on His Word; living holy and living in total obedience to His voice.

To build yourself spiritually, you must increase your level of faith by hearing God’s Word, listening only to things that edify, and watching television programs that stir up your faith. How are you building up the little fire in you?

Key Point: Every day, make sure you do something that will add to your spiritual build up no matter how small.

Hymn 7:

1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Watch the Covenant Hour of Prayer Service, For Thursday January 18, 2018 with Bishop David Oyedepo here

Topic: The Tragedy Of Looking Back [Seeds of Destiny Thursday January 18th, 2018]

Scripture: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. Luke 9:62.

Thought For The Day: To turn back from following God is to end in eternity in hellfire.

The devil is the enemy of God and humanity. His mission is to destroy what God has built in your life (John 10:10), but he will never succeed in your life in Jesus’ Name.

One of the missions of the devil is to make people who are dedicated to following God look back and go back from following Him. Meanwhile, to look back from following God is to be lost in life and destiny; to look back from following God is to be lost in eternity in hell.

One of the strategies of the enemy in making dedicated people to look back is organising pressures and distractions around their lives. There are people who stopped on the way while on their journey with God because of the pressures of life.

One example of such persons was Lot’s wife.

When God instructed Lot and his household that they should not look back while running away from Sodom, Lot’s wife was carried away by the pressure and cares of this world. She seemed to have been carried away by the material treasures she had left behind in Sodom and the pressures and chaos of the destructions behind her. When she turned back, she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26).

Apart from pressure, there are people who turn back from following God because of prosperity. When their lives change and they have more money, they do not go to church anymore.

Beloved, to turn back from following God is to end in eternity in hellfire. That shall not be your portion in Jesus Name. Therefore, do not let pressure or prosperity stop you from following God.

Remember This: To turn back from following God is to end in eternity in hellfire.

Assignments:

1. Make up your mind never to turn back for following God.

2. Be focused in life on God either in pressure or prosperity.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask that You give me the grace to be doggedly focused on You. Help me never to turn back from following You despite pressure or prosperity, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Going All The Way With God [Seeds of Destiny Wednesday January 17th, 2018]

Scripture: And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. Ruth 1:16-17.

Thought For The Day: If you do not serve God, neither the devil nor a native doctor is an option.

Dedication to God has been identified as the mark of authentic Christianity. People who are dedicated to God are distinguished in life. On the other hand, people who are not dedicated to God live average lives and are usually swallowed in the crowd.

Previously, we saw that dedication means being sold out to God; it is a state of not having a vision independent of God’s purpose for one’s life.
Another meaning of dedication is willingness to go all the way with God.

Now, what does it mean to go all the way with God?

Going all the way with God means wholehearted commitment to God.

The willingness to go all the way with God is not a half-hearted commitment to God; it is a commitment of no-return in your relationship with God. It is having a passionate desire and decision to serve God without the possibility of reconsideration of such decision to serve God. It is serving God on an unconditional basis without the tendency to backslide when things do not go as expected. People who easily turn away from God because of perceived lack of blessing do not know God at all.

I once heard God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo say that he told God one day that even if he discovered later that there was no heaven, he would still follow God.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego demonstrated a commitment of no- return when they accepted to be cast into the fiery furnace instead of bowing down to the image set up by King Nebuchadnezzar. They said that God would deliver them but even if God did not deliver them, they would not bow to the image.

Beloved, if you do not serve God, neither the devil nor a native doctor is an option. Therefore, make up your mind to go all the way with God.

Remember This: If you do not serve God, neither the devil nor a native doctor is an option.

Assignments:

1. Discard your personal ambitions that are contrary to God’s Purpose for your life.

2. Make up your mind to go all the way with God.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for the grace to go all the way with you like Abraham. Help me not to miss You in the journey of life and destiny, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Jesus Can Set Them Free [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. - Matthew 10:7-8

There are those who've said that some of the diseases that are on the rampage right now, diseases such as AIDS, are God's way of punishing immoral people today. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that!

God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there's anyone in heaven and earth who hates it, it's Jesus. The devil is the one who's trying to tell us otherwise. He's promoting a lie, trying to get us to believe God is the One who's inflicting these diseases on people because he knows that if the victims believe that, it will drive them further from God than ever. And that's his aim.

It's time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie. Some time ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me so. He said, Reach out to those who are suffering. Let them know I didn't do this to them. Let them know I'm their Deliverer!

That word was not just for me, it was for the whole Body of Christ. We need to tell people who've been afflicted with AIDS or any such disease that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them.

God is not responsible for the suffering we're seeing around us. That's just a nasty lie the devil is passing around. And if you and I do our job right, very soon another word is going to start spreading through the streets. The news is going to get out that Jesus Christ is not their captor, He's the One who can set them free!

Topic: Understanding Dedication [Seeds of Destiny Monday January 15th, 2018]

Scripture: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

Thought For The Day: Being serious with God is a mark of dedication.

God proves Himself in the lives of those who are dedicated to Him. Dedicated people are candidates for the proofs of God.

One practical example of such men is Abraham. Due to his dedication, God proved Himself in his life and made him great. Therefore, it is important to know what dedication is all about in order to achieve greatness in life.

Now, what does it mean for a person to be dedicated to God?
1. Dedication to God means living a life that is sold out to God.
2. Dedication to God means the willingness to go all the way with God.
3. Dedication to God means walking with God. Genesis 5:24.
4. Dedication to God means deadly commitment to God.

RCCG SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON 20 JANUARY 14, 2018 – INTEGRITY PART 1

OPENING PRAYER

Father, do not let me fail on the scale of integrity, in the name of Jesus.

MEMORY VERSE: Proverb 11:3 “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”
BIBLE PASSAGE: PROVERBS 11:1-9

LESSON INTRODUCTION

Integrity comes from Latin word ‘Integritas’ which means wholeness, entireness or unbroken state. It is the state of being honest, just, upright or pure. Integrity covers the whole moral character. It is one of the needs of the church and the society today.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: THE ESSENCE OF INTEGRITY

i. Integrity is fundamentally a proof of one’s belief in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17

ii. It is a character which makes a person not to waiver. 1Kings 9:4

iii. Through integrity, a person becomes reliable to family members, subordinates and superiors. 1Samuel 12:3-4

iv. The fellow who has integrity honours his words , promises and is committed to responsibilities. Joshua 2:12-14, Joshua 6:22-23

v. The fellow who has integrity recognizes his/her fallibility, takes responsibilities for actions or inactions, takes necessary corrective action for failure without minding cost. Gen 26:9-11

vi. Those who have integrity are truthful and consistent. Luke 16:10

LESSON OUTLINE 2: FACTORS ERODING INTEGRITY

i. The quick-fix mentality for worldly gains. 2Kings 5:20-23

ii. Ignorance of the living word of God. Hos 4:6; Prov 29:18

iii. Preoccupation with gratifying physical desires resulting in lust of the flesh. 1John 2:16

iv. Crave for material wealth at the expense of loyalty. Matthew 26:15

v. Inability to maintain a consistent lifestyle both in the private and in the open. Joshua 7:11,19; Gen 31:32-35

vi. Misappropriation of God’s mercy and grace as an excuse for careless living and moral laxity. Romans 1:28;6:1-2

SUMMARY

Based on the word of God, all believers are to live a life guided absolutely by integrity. Doing contrary is heading for destruction. Prov 11:3

CONCLUSION

If ever we need two powerful force to preserve us along life’s way, they are integrity and uprightness. While uprightness makes us learn God’s requirements and strive
to fulfill them, integrity keeps us from claiming too be upright while living in pretense. Gen 39:9.

CLOSING PRAYER

i. Father, deliver our society from corruption. Help the world to be upright in dealings.

Spirit Meat Daily Devotional January 13, 2018: Topic - HOW TO DEVELOP THE ANOINTING WITHIN (4) [ISAIAH 40:28-31]

This morning, I want to conclude this study on developing the strength of God in your inner man.
7.Righteousness:
Hebrews 1:9 says “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows”. Righteousness will multiply the grace of God in you. Proverbs 14:34 “ Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”
8.Fasting: Isaiah 40: 28 -31

Fasting is another means by which God strengthens our spirit man. Fasting does not change God, it changes you. You should separate at least a day in the week when you will be waiting upon the Lord in fasting and praying. According to Isaiah 40:28-31 when you wait upon the Lord, He renews your strength. From Mathew 17:14-21, you see that there are some levels and things you will be able to accomplish under God without a lifestyle of prayer and fasting.
9.Staying under a right spiritual father:

Some of the major blessings of a spiritual father in your life will be to help you develop the strength of God in your life, help you identify activities in your life that can destroy your spiritual strength and then sharing their strength with you. Another activity of a true spiritual father which a great number of Christians do not like is rebuke and correction. If you hate rebuke and correction, you will never carry authentic oil, strength and grace and if you will carry it, you will lose it with time or you will destroy yourself with it.

PRAYER: Lord, I take responsibility for acquiring strength in my inner man. I take hold of grace to grow from strength to strength in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I said to you yesterday that the anointing within is the priority of God for us as Christians especially for everyone who will not just fulfil destiny, but also stay strong under God. Today by the grace of God, I want to start showing you how you can develop that inside you.
1.Study of the word of God: Acts 20:32
Among many other things that the Word of God will do to you, it will build up your spiritual strength. If you are going to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might as admonished by Paul the apostle in Ephesians 6, you must be strong in the Word of God. When I started out in the things of God, the Lord required of me that I must read the Bible four times every year and I did that for well over 10 years. That is what has produced what I am today.
2.Prayer: Jude Vs 20
Prayer will develop and build up your spiritual strength. However, I counsel people very often that they should be men of the Bible before they become men of prayer. If not, the devil will not only give wrong information, but also seek to help you interpret the ones that God is sending into your life. But when you have acquainted yourself with the Bible, the principles of the bible which you have known will keep you from any form of error. Of all the forms of prayer, I will counsel that you take quality time to pray in the Holy Ghost. It will strengthen your spirit, build your spiritual capacity and open you up to the world of the supernatural under God.

PRAYER: Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will help me to give myself continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word of God in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Topic: Men/Women Shall Dance With Me This Year! [Our Daily Manna ODM Tuesday, January 9, 2018]

Basic Scriptures: 1 Samuel 18: 5-8; Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4

Because Michal did not dance WITH David, she was BARREN FOR LIFE! That how God takes your dancing this year! Those who refuse to dance with you will suffer pain and those who are planning your sorrow will DRY UP in shame! Matthew 14:6 and Mark 6: 22 tell of Herodias’ Daughter who danced at Herod’s birthday party and THAT DANCE WAS THE BURIAL STAMP OF JOHN THE BAPTIST!

Oh, the power of THE DANCE! Satan wants you to MOURN this year but you prayers today and in this fast programme/beyond will disappoint him. Ecclesiastes 3:4 says: “A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance.” THIS IS YOUR TIME TO DANCE and men shall not tell you “SORRY” this year!

Also, 1 Samuel 18: 6-7 says: Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistines, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments. So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. “After every victorious battle, there is always a dancing, a singing and a celebration.

All through this year 2018, men and women shall sing the praise of your God and dance with you. That victory that would make men and women to shout, “WOW!” He has made it at last, she has made it at last, she has prevailed at last, he has prevailed at last,” and begin to dance with you like they dance with David, shall locate you in Jesus name! That stubborn Goliath (enemy) will go down and this world will dance your DECORATION DANCE with you in Jesus name.

Get ready to hear lots of “CONGRATULATIONS” this year! Continue this fast, sow your DECORATION (CHANGE OF GARMENT) SEED in this fasting programme and be at the WORLD ANOINTING DECORATION NIGHT with your prophetic garment/dress/shirt which you will tear that night (not the one you wore to programme)! Get ready! Also read the DECORATION PSALM which will be sent to you after sowing! WHATSAPP AND E-MAIL ARE BETTER AND CONTAIN FULLER PRAYERS than just texts! This is your year! I Must Be Decorated

Topic: The Blessing Of Vision [Monday January 8, 2018]

Scripture: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

Thought For The Day: God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

Yesterday, we established that there is a relationship between vision and the Blessing of God. Men of old like Abraham, Isaac Jacob, Joseph, Moses and David who saw massive provisions of God in their lives were men of vision.

Today, we shall be looking at how vision produces the Blessing of God?

Now, I would like to give you two key facts:

1. The visions of the heart of man determine the release of provisions from the Hand of God

Anything that is in your heart is what God will put in your hand. If it is not in your heart, it cannot be in your hand. So, God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

2. Vision is a magnet of provision.

A wise man once said that you cannot travel on your inside and stand still on the outside. Every inside move attracts a corresponding external move. When the snail for instance moves, its shell also follows. So, your outward life will always conform to your inward convictions. External conditions are always lined up to conform to internal visions and convictions. In the same way, vision magnetises provision.

Beloved, my counsel is: never possess an empty heart; do not allow your situation to limit your vision.

Remember This: God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

Assignments:

1. Deal with every spell of empty heartedness.

2. Make demands on God for the divine provisions in your life.

Prayer: O LORD, I ask that You fill my heart with Your vision for Your Kingdom. Give me access to Your provisions, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: VISION AND THE BLESSING (PART 3).

Amazing Fact: Humans are bioluminescent and glow in the dark. The light that we emit is 1,000 times weaker than our human eyes are able to pick up.

TOPIC: GAMBLING [SUNDAY, 7TH JANUARY 2018]

OPENING PRAYER:

Father, deliver me and my fellow believers from the evil spirit of covetousness. Help us to be content with our resources.

MEMORY VERSE: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Timothy 6:6-12

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

INTRODUCTION:

The word gamble means "to risk something of value on an outcome that depends on chance". Other related activities to gambling are betting, lotto/lottery, gaming, casinos, 'money doubling' and 'get rich quick' programmes, among others. Because the outcomes of these activities "depend on chance" and doing them involves "risk", then, by definition, they are all gambling. Although, the Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery, it does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to "get rich quick" (Proverbs 13:11; 23:5; Ecclesiastes 5:10). Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches. Jesus warns us against letting riches get in the way of our spiritual benefit (Mark 4:19; 10:25) and that we cannot serve both God and money (Luke 16:13).

TEXT REVIEW: 1 Timothy 6:6-12

Lack of contentment or satisfaction could lead to dangers. Therefore, Apostle Paul warned believers beforehand:

i. It leads into temptation and snare.1Tim.6:9a

ii. It produce foolish and hurtful list. 1Tim 6:9b.

iii. It drowns men(women inclusive) in destruction and perdition. 1Tim 6:9c

iv. It leads the victims to err from faith. 1Tim.6:10b

v. It is like arrow that Pierces many hearts with many sorrows. 1Tim. 6:10c

How can believers be free from the problem of lack of contentment? The answers are as follows:

a. Flee from unending desires to acquire more money, power, materials, riches, etc. 1Tim. 6:9-11

b. Embrace eternal life absolutely. 1Tim. 6:12b

c. Fight the good fight of faith. 1Tim 6:12c.

d. Learn to be contended. 1Tim 6:6

e. Follow righteousness, godliness, faith, love, Patience and meekness which are the fruits of the spirit. 1Tim. 6:11.

Topic: Nothing Is Impossible [Saturday January 6, 2018]

Luke 1:37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

Text: Luke 1:26-38

What a statement! If we just believed this, how different our lives would be!

From birth we are trained to know our limitations. You can't have this. Don't touch that. Don't put things in your mouth. You can't touch the fire. On and on the list goes.

As we grow up, it's actually a sign of maturity to recognize our limitations and learn to live within them. There are limits to everything. It's a fact of life.

But God has no limits. When we enter into the realm of the supernatural, we have to take off all the limits. We have to renew our minds with the truth that God is not like us. He can do anything.

We have an awesome God whose power is so great that we can't even comprehend it. He created the universe and it didn't even tax His ability. Yet many times we find ourselves wondering if our situation is too hard for the Lord. We can't see how even God can pull us through.

The Lord said to Jeremiah, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" (Jer. 32:27) The answer is a resounding NO! The only thing that limits God is our unbelief (Dt. 7:17). Today, let's honor God by believing that nothing is too difficult for Him.

Topic: Understanding Vision [Friday December 5, 2018]

Scripture: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

Thought For The Day: If you do not know where to go, you will not leave where you are.

Yesterday, we saw the necessity of conceiving vision for the year 2018. We noted that without a clear definition of destination, stagnation and frustration in life are inevitable. Hence, there is a need to conceive vision for the year, 2018.

Now, the question is, what is vision? Take note the following three definitions:
1. Vision is a clear definition of life’s destination. Vision implies understanding where one wants to go in life or knowing what one wants to achieve.

2. Vision is a clear picture of a preferred future. It is picturing the kind of future you prefer for 2018 as well as for the rest of your life. This is because to live by chance is to end by chance.

3. Vision is the direction of life’s motion. It is knowing the direction you would like your life to move. As a pastor or a businessman, it is vision that determines the direction your life is going per time.

Having defined vision, we will consider one impact of vision:
The fuel for motion!

Vision is the fuel for motion. Motion is never possible without vision. The point is, if you do not know where to go, you will not leave where you are. This is why the absence of vision is the abundance of stagnation.

My counsel is, refuse the life of stagnation by conceiving a solid and achievable vision for your life.

Remember This: If you do not know where to go, you will not leave where you are.

Assignments:

1. Ask God to give you a solid and achievable vision for 2018.

2. Endeavour to work towards actualizing your vision.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for a clear revelation of what You want me to do this year, 2018, so that my life can move forward in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Encounter with fresh oil through praise!

We understand from scriptures that fresh oil (the anointing of the Holy Ghost) is the master key to a world of exploits. Also, as long as the oil remains fresh, continuous and unstoppable breakthroughs are guaranteed. Interestingly, among the mysteries in praise is an encounter with fresh oil. This is why only praiseful believers enjoy fresh oil.

Obviously, God the Anointer is also the custodian of the anointing. For instance, we saw how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). However, the journey to having fresh oil begins with seeking access to God’s presence and there is no other way to access His presence except through praise. As it is written: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing (Psalm 100:1-2; 92:10, 14).

This implies that we can’t access His presence by bombarding His gates with complaints and murmurings. If we must enjoy fresh oil, we must understand the protocols of how to get across to His presence. In order words, we must follow the divine protocol of giving thanks, praise and worship which ushers us into His presence where we are anointed with fresh oil. This is what makes praise a covenant platform for encounter with fresh oil.

Why do we need fresh oil?

To silence the enemy and the avenger: We live in a wicked world and as such it takes the anointing to stop the wicked from harassing our lives (Psalm 74:20; 1 John 5:19; Psalm 92:10).

To have dominion above sickness and diseases: We understand that most of the sicknesses and diseases are direct oppressions of the devil, hence; we need fresh oil to live above all manner of sicknesses and diseases (Matthew 10:1; Acts 10:38).

To be exempted from all the evils of the day: Fresh oil is a mark of exemption against the evil of the day. Also, Fresh oil makes you indestructible and unmolestable (Ezekiel 9:5-6; Ephesians 1:13).

Access to deep revelations: Every provision in scriptures is only accessible by revelation. It is by revelation we possess our possessions in Christ. If we don’t have the spiritual understanding of the scripture, we may never live to experience the benefits therein. However, through the anointing, we see what others can’t see in scriptures, thereby putting an end to every struggle of our lives.

Access to divine wisdom: We understand that divine wisdom is only accessible by inspiration. As it is written: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). This implies that God’s word is God’s wisdom in print and it takes inspiration to experience it, but praise is the facilitator of inspiration.

Among the content of this fresh oil is supernatural joy: Fresh oil is the custodian of supernatural joy and unstoppable gladness. On the other hand, just like there is the spirit of joy, there is also the spirit of heaviness, which is one of the devil’s acts of spiritual wickedness to put the spirit of heaviness upon a man, so as to disqualify him access to God’s presence, where his solution lies. This is because until the oil comes, the yoke cannot be destroyed. Therefore, by that oil, I decree an end to every air of depression around anyone’s life, in Jesus name! (Isaiah 61:3; Acts 2:13; 1 Peter 1:cool.

However, you don’t have access to fresh oil if you are not born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

OPENING PRAYER:
Father, help me to bring forth the fruit of meekness and temperance in the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

BIBLE PASSAGE:
1Corinthians 9: 24-27

9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

MEMORY VERSE: What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? 1 Cor. 4:21

INTRODUCTION: Meekness connotes a calm temper of mind, not easily provoked (James 3:13). The word meekness does not connote weakness. Rather, it involves humility and thankfulness toward God, and polite, restrained behavior toward others. The opposites of meekness are anger, a desire for revenge, and self-aggrandizement. Temperance means properly, self-control, continence. Meekness and temperance shall be studied extensively, as parts of the characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, in this lesson.

TEXT REVIEW: 1Cor 9:24 -27
Some words were used in today’s bible passage to depict the attribute of sportsmanship. Such words are: ‘run’, ‘prize’, ‘strive’, ‘mastery’, ‘crown’ (medal), and ‘fight’. 1 Cor. 9:24-26. As you will agree, it is easy to run to win a prize. Physically, a lot of preparations go into it. For, instance, the sports man must subject himself to rigorous and constant exercises, must monitor/regulate his dietary system, and he must know the rule of the game and abide by it. He must follow the instruction of the referee/instructor as and when due. He must be ready to do it better than opponents or competitors, etc.

Apostle paul used the following words to summarise it. “amd every man that striveth for the mastery si temperate in all things. 1 Cor. 9:25a. temperance in this scripture is the key issue. It means habitual moderation, passion, restraint, absitinence, patience, calness and so on. A man that would obtain prize in a competiton must be ready to pay the price of temperance. Similarly a man that will run the spiritual race to Heaven msut be ready to pay all the attributes ot temperance and keep his body under and bring it unto subjection aleays. 1 Cor. 9:26-27
Thank God, Holy Spirit has the fruit of temperance. Gal. 5:23

TOPIC — The Fruit Of The Spirit: Meekness And Temperance [Sunday, 31st December 2017]

MEMORY VERSE: “What will ye? Shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love and in the spirit of meekness?.” – 1 Corinthians 4:21

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

INTRODUCTION:

Meekness connotes a calm temper of mind, not easily provoked (James 3:13). The word meekness does not connote weakness. Rather, it involves humility and thankfulness toward God, and polite, restrained behaviour toward others. The opposites of meekness are anger, a desire for revenge, and self-aggrandisement. Temperance means properly, self-control, continence. Meekness and temperance shall be studied extensively, as parts of the characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, in this lesson.

LESSON OUTLINES:

1. Meekness

2. Temperance

MEEKNESS

Meekness is might restrained, humility and grace displayed. Human power under human control is a half-broken weapon in the hands of a child. However, meekness places our strength under God’s guidance. Meekness constrains and channels the power of our words and actions. To be meek is to recognise that God’s ways and thoughts are high above our own (Isaiah 55:9). It is to accept God’s worldview, reflecting the truth about the spiritual and the material worlds. When we are filled with the Spirit’s fruit of meekness, we will correct others with ease instead of arguing in resentment and anger. We will forgive readily (Matthew 18:23-35). Competition and sectarianism will disappear (Philippians 1:15-18). We will accept God’s judgment on people and issues.

The Bible mentions some peculiar promises made to the meek (Matthew 5:5; Isaiah 66:2). The cultivation of the spirit of meekness is also enjoined (Colossians 3:12; 1Timothy 6:11; Zephaniah 2:3). Meekness is exemplified in Christ (Matthew 11:29), Abraham (Genesis 13; 16:5-6), Moses (Numbers 12:3), David (Zechariah 12:8; 2Samuel 16:10,12), and Paul (1Corinthians 9:19).

TEMPERANCE

Temperance is the ability to control oneself. It involves a life of moderation and constraint against earthly desires and fleshly lusts. Salvation gives us freedom (Galatians 5:1) which includes freedom from sin (Romans 6:6). We need temperance as defence against forces of pleasure and lust (Romans 7:21-25). Temperance naturally leads to perseverance (2Peter 1:6). Temperance frees us from a guilty conscience (2Corinthians 4:2) and helps us to find the liberty to love and live as God desires (Galatians 5:13). Temperance includes the dominion over all evil tendencies and may denote continence, chastity, self-government, moderation in regard to all indulgences. The Holy Spirit in the heart makes a man moderate in all indulgences; teaches him to restrain his passions, and to govern himself; to control his evil propensities, and to subdue all inordinate affections.

CONCLUSION:

You can be like Jesus in meekness and temperance. Pray about it now.

QUESTIONS:

1. Describe meekness

2. What does it mean to be temperate?
