Heartbroken 54-year-old woman spends £8,000 on 'revenge body' after finding out her boyfriend is engaged (photos)

A 54-year-old jilted woman has spent more than £8,000 to get the perfect 'revenge body' after discovering her partner of 18 months was engaged to someone else.

Jo Ann Munz, from Las Vegas, seemed to be in a happy relationship with her partner for over a year, but was shocked when he admitted to being engaged with someone after he she confronted him.

This led her to lose 30lbs, avoiding social functions/gatherings and becoming depressed.

Jo Ann made up her mind that even that she was going to go through cosmetic surgery to get the perfect body as revenge on her ex for betraying her and spent £8,280 ($10,650) to completely change her look.


Her surgery included replacement breast implants costing £6,213 ($8,000), a plasma fibroblast at £776 ($1,000), Botox which cost £776 ($1000), micro-needling for £388 ($500) and a chemical peel at £116 ($150).


The new look and body gave her a new found confidence and she started posting sultry snaps on her Instagram page, doing modelling shoots and even took part in a naked photoshoot in the desert after turning 50.

According to Jo Ann, she didn't know her new found lifestyle was motivating other women and she regularly gets positive comments from friends and well wishers.

"Revenge was the impetus originally for my first photo shoot, but once I started getting positive responses from women, I realised that I was inspiring some of them to step out of their comfort zones," Jo Ann said to Mirror UK

"With age comes a sense of cool. If you don't like me or my style, okay. I feel much more attractive now because I have confidence.

"I'm not trying to turn every head in the room just enjoy the moment. I've learned how to hide my flaws for the days when I'm just not feeling it."

She added: "There's lots of 'colourful' comments from men that's inevitable.
"People immediately either love me or hate me there's no middle ground.

"One of my brothers is always telling me to put some clothes on.

"My friends really support and love what I do with photoshoots. They admire that I always move to my own beat and do what I want.

"Once, I was at a photoshoot and no one could remember my name and so they just called me Barbie.

"Water is you best friend, drink it. Don't make any cosmetic changes unless they're for you. Be consistent with your exercise and good eating habits but plan for a cheat day.

"Stop comparing yourself to a photoshopped image of perfection. I look at altered pictures of myself and I wish I looked like her too.

"Confidence is the sexiest accessory a woman can wear. Fake it until you don't need to anymore."

Concepción died by an apparent suicide on Friday, February 21, 2020, according to Variety.

Gentefied co-creator Linda Yvette Chávez wrote on his social media page;

EFCC to TheCable: Your report on Magu’s statement false: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied that its acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu said that “Coronavirus is caused by corruption” while speaking at the passing out parade of 281 cadets of the EFCC Detective Inspector Course-5, at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna on Tuesday February 18.

In a statement shared on its official Twitter handle, the anti-graft agency alleged that the report is false and misleading.

A video evidence however proved that Magu said he “he strongly believes coronavirus is caused by corruption.”

“Corruption is the biggest strategy to human kind. Your excellency, corruption is worse than all the diseases now running about.

“And I strongly believe, Your Excellency, that even the coronavirus is caused by corruption.”

The Primeira Liga game between Porto vs Vitoria Guimaraes was marred by yet another show of racism in football as Malian striker, Moussa Marega was racially abused by Vitoria SC fans after he scored his side’s winner on Sunday.

When the 28-year-old striker scored in the 60th minute, he celebrated his goal by pointing to the colour of the skin on his forearm, which prompted monkey noises and chairs to be thrown from the stands.

Moussa Marega even celebrated with one of the discarded plastic seats but then made his way to the side of the pitch, with his thumbs down and seemingly booing the home supporters.

He was shown a yellow card for the reaction and after the abuse continued he attempted to angrily leave the pitch, but was restrained by his teammates and opposition players, including Porto coach Sergio Conceicao.



The Malian striker who spent a season on loan at Vitoria in 2016-17 was later substituted in the 72nd minute and replaced with Wilson Manafa.

After the final whistle, Marega took to Instagram to blast the racist supporters: ‘I’d like to tell those idiots that came to the stadium to shout racist abuse… go f*** yourself.

‘I also want to congratulate the referee for not protecting me and showing me a yellow card because I’m defending my skin colour.

‘I hope I never meet him again on a football pitch!! YOU’RE A DISGRACE!!!’

His coach, Conceicao also spoke about the incident while speaking in his post-match interview.

He told reporters: “We are completely indignant,”

“They insulted Moussa Marega since the warm-up. We are all a family here, regardless of our nationality, skin colour, height or the colour of our hair and we all deserve respect. What happened here is outrageous.

“I know the fans here are very passionate about their club and many fans are not represented by some of the people who were in the crowd today.”

Keenon Robotics Co, a Shanghai-based company, deployed 16 robots of a model nicknamed “Little Peanut” to a hospital in Hangzhou after a group of Wuhan travellers to Singapore were held in quarantine.



Twitter users were amazed at the latest development in curbing the spread of the virus which has killed 811 people so far.

A user commented:

“I am fascinated by the logistics of it all. Compressed construction – training for staff as to what goes where…configurations, maps…” While another said “cool job.”

Appreciating the designing of the robot, another user said “with lights designed to sort of look like a friendly face”

“The robot that rolls up, ejects and inserts the food plate into the slot of the isolation ward can help curb the spread of coronavirus,” said a user.

Raphael Coleman, best known for playing Eric Brown in Nanny McPhee film in 2005, had no ‘prior health problems’ when he passed away.

The great ape, who lives in a protected conservation forest area in Borneo, was seen leaning forward and lending a helping hand to the man who had been in the muddy river searching for snakes, Mirror UK reports.

The striking images were taken by amateur photographer Anil Prabhakar, from Indonesia, who had been on a safari with his friends when he spotted the touching scene.

Mr Prabhakar later found that the man worked for the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation- a non-profit organisation aimed at protected the endangered species.

The worker had been clearing away snakes in an effort to guard the orangutans when he was interrupted by the inquisitive ape.

However the amateur photographer revealed the man refused the orangutan’s hand after he put away the camera – as it was a wild animal.

President Buhari called for new strategies by the Union to effectively prevent, manage and resolve conflicts in the face of new circumstances and emerging challenges.

The President also announced that Nigeria has fulfilled its financial obligations to the AU Peace Fund up to 2019, pledging to continue investing on peace and security on the continent.



On ECOWAS matters, President Buhari declared that Nigeria is proud to continue to serve as a strong contributor to the peace roles played by the regional bloc.

”In Burkina Faso, we (ECOWAS) pledged to mobilize one billion US dollars to address the challenges of insecurity in our region and the Sahel. In Guinea Bissau, ECOWAS successfully midwifed the general elections.

”Nigeria along with ECOWAS member states led in the restoration of democracy and peace in the Gambia,” he said, while welcoming the collaborative leadership of the AU with other Regional Economic Communities in resolving conflicts on the continent.

On security challenges in Africa, the Nigerian Leader said it was regrettable that terrorism, violent extremism and other forms of vicious conflicts had continued to cause mayhem and untold crisis on the continent.

”Nigeria condemns, in the strongest terms, the perpetrators of terrorism in Libya, the Sahel, Lake Chad Basin, and parts of the Horn of Africa.

”We reiterate that efforts must continue to be pooled to mitigate this dreadful violence and secure the future of our continent,” he said.

On new strategies to resolve conflicts on the continent, the President said: ”The AU must strengthen its own capacity for mediation and develop an effective intervention roadmap.”

He added that more emphasis should be placed on promoting national dialogue, reconciliation and social cohesion in order to rally all actors towards sustainable peace.

On the Peace Fund, the President reminded the meeting that drawing from the Kigali and Johannesburg Assembly Decisions, the fund is structured for the internal peace support arrangements within the continent and not as resources to subsidize the mandate of the UN Security Council.

”In this regard, my delegation will always fervently contest attempts to make Africa subsidize the primary responsibility of the UN as clearly provided in it Charter,” he said.

President Buhari also welcomed the decision of the AU Peace and Security Council (AUPSC) to adopt the regional stabilization strategy for the Lake Chad Basin and the renewal of mandates of the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and the G5 Sahel Joint Force.

He told the meeting that Nigeria was very encouraged by the resolution of the continent’s standing decision-making body for conflict prevention, management and resolution, on the Lake Chad Basin.

”We are hopeful that the Inter Water Basin Transfer Initiative for the recharging of the Lake Chad will address some of the drivers of terrorism, particularly the impact of climate change and inter-communal clashes over access to natural resources.

”We equally call on the Assembly to direct the full implementation of these AU-inspired initiatives,” he said.

The photo was taken from the making of the video of her hit single titled “Shekere“ featuring Grammy Award winner Angélique Kidjo. Sekere is the African version of a tambourine, where the music diva revamps Kidjo’s classic “Wombo Lombo.”

According to Yemi Alade, a Masai had offered 20 cows for her hand in marriage, but was discouraged by his friend who said she was ‘fat and can’t build houses’.

“A Masai Offered Me 20 cows For My hand in Marriage, but his friend said that I am fat��� and I can’t build houses!��” she wrote.

Yemi Alade went on to share some facts about the Masai, “The first and oldest wife’s house is usually the first followed by the second wife’s and the others respectively… A lot of the Maasai Youth are educated and still very cultured, building houses from a skillful mix of cow dung, mud, and water.”

Woman bites off a man’s tongue after warning him not to use it while they are kissing

A Detroit Man is in the hospital recovering after a 52 year old woman bit his tongue for using it to kiss her while they were making out.

According to Prosecutor Eric J. Smith, the woman, Youlette Wedgeworth, and the man were engaged in a consensual kiss on January 28 when the incident occurred.

Police in responding to the incident which happened January 28, found the man bleeding from his mouth, and recovered one inch of his tongue in his bedroom, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement to CNN.

“I believe this is the first case of this nature in my 27 years in the prosecutor’s office,” Smith said in the statement.



Wedgeworth has been charged with aggravated assault, a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

While speaking at the programme, Governor Sanwo-Olu said as part of measures to effectively reduce traffic situation in the state, his government would “account for every Okada rider”.

“To also solve the traffic issue of Lagos is also to talk about the okada issue; okada is everywhere, anywhere you see. Part of the things that we are going to be doing is not to leave anybody behind. People are currently using a system that is working for them.

You see some okada riders that are branded, that use smart ways to pay when you finish the journey. We are trying to harmonise all of them and be able to come up with a regulation system where we can account for every okada rider.

We will know who they are, we can manage them. In fact, the solutions that some of them are bringing, they can disenable those okadas remotely. That is where we are planning to get to but it is also be something that we need to think through very well and be sure that nobody is disenfranchised.

As much as possible, give everyone opportunity to play and play well. I’m hoping that once we do all of this, the traffic will be reduced significantly.” he said

On January 27th, his administration has banned Okada riders in six Local Government Areas (LGAs), nine Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) and 10 major highways across the State. Also banned are ride hailing services, OPay and GOkada.

Anyone who attempts to “disrupt social order” by posting information that doesn’t come from state-run media would face the penalty, the alert, issued Jan. 25, said.

Police in the city of Tianjin, this week, detained a man who criticized how authorities were handling the outbreak in a WeChat group he shared with friends, Vice reported on Thursday.

He was detained for 10 days for “maliciously publishing aggressive, insulting speech against medical personnel,” according to the website.

On Jan. 3, eight people in the city of Wuhan — where the flu-like illness originated — were arrested for allegedly “publishing or forwarding false information on the internet without verification,” AFP reported.

At least one of them was a doctor who had reported the existence of the new virus.



Wuhan authorities have been accused of initially covering up and ignoring the coronavirus.

The mayor, Zhou Xianwang, offered to resign on Monday after admitting the city government’s disclosure of information about the disease had been “unsatisfactory.”

After citizens ripped Wuhan officials for detaining the doctor, China’s highest court stepped in and reprimanded police for silencing whistleblowers, The Washington Post reported.

“Rumors stop when information is public,” the Supreme People’s Court said Tuesday on social media, as it urged Wuhan officials to learn a “profound lesson.”

But China’s censorship machine has been taking down any information Beijing deems to be a “rumor.”

On Wednesday, authorities ordered that for an article that looked at how China’s economy would be affected by the World Health Organization declaring the virus a “global health emergency” to be scrubbed from the internet, according China Digital Times, a California-based monitoring group.



Examples of other censorship include posts by families of infected people looking for help, of folks in quarantined cities documenting their day-to-day and those slamming the government’s handling of the crisis, according to Vice.

To counteract any criticism, state-media have been publishing gushing reports of Beijing’s response.

“Public perception will be shaped by the propaganda machinery,” Steve Tsang, the director of the China Institute at SOAS University of London, told The Washington Post.

“That machinery is going into overdrive right now to protect [Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s] reputation,” said Tsang.

She said a sizable proportion of patients were lost to follow-up in the cancer care continuum as a result of the complexity and poor functioning of our health system, especially to cancer care.

She noted that research had promised “life-changing possibilities” for those diagnosed with certain types of cancer, and in particular for individuals diagnosed at an advanced stage where the chances of survival were low.

According to her, we have made good progress from the world lens, same accolades cannot be taken when considering sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Nigeria.

“Studies have shown that basic breast cancer screenings like clinical breast examination are highly cost-effective, yet it is still not generally available at the primary health care level in Nigeria.

“Radiotherapy is an important treatment option for cancer patients yet it is not generally available in Nigeria, about nine radiotherapy centers, most of which are usually not functional for most of the years are available in a country of over 190 million people.

“Morocco with a population of just about treatment six million people has 17 functional radiotherapy centres as of 2014.

“We must evaluate our health system critically and re-model it to ensure accessibility, affordability, and quality in order to curb loss to follow-up.

Friends close to the deceased, alleged that she had been crying over a severe headache since December 2019. According to reports, the lady who believed she was used for rituals by one of her clients, visited spiritualists for help after hospitals she visited could not help. A Ghanaian boxer and WBO Africa Super welterweight champion, Patrick Allotey risks getting sanctioned after being seen assaulting a football fan in a viral video.
