THE Oyo State House of Assembly has sacked the 33 local government caretaker chairmen in the state.

At a sitting presided over by the Speaker of the House, Honourable Mulikat Sunmonu, the House ordered the Head of Local Government

Administration‎ in all the 33 local governments to take over the mantle of leadership with immediate effect.

Nigerian Tribune, recalled that the State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, had sent the names of the chairmen to the House ‎for tenure

extension approval after it expired on February 10, 2015.

The deputy government of the state of Osun Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori has ordered the closure of two schools- Government Technical College, Osogbo, and Osogbo High School over riots by the students.
The closure was made known to our correspondent in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Osun State Ministry of Education, Mr Lawrence Oyeniran.

According to Mr Lawrence, Government Technical College, Osogbo, and Osogbo High School have been closed down indefinately and security agencies have been asked to take over the control of the two schools in a bid to maintain peace.


Parents have also been advised to warn their Children to desist from actions that is capable of threatning the public peace.
