It will suprise you to no that the wysiwyg was to build my website but try trial n error I discoverd I cud use it for mobile app.

Thanks man, I made another progress today, I found a way to get the emulator to work and also I disabled the 'built with webbuilder'.. Some links are appears not to link or display properly but I'm on it..Thanks man..

it is so sometimes.it took a month plus b4 I cud understand tru trial and error approach.

Dalemat please dont abandon me now please!.. Which version of wysiwyg and intel xdk are you using? Maybe mine has compatibility issues and hence dont come with some functions.. Like the "create from existing html " in xdk. All I see is "import from your HTML base" which does not work.. I still cant get the preview to work in wysiwyg too.. Please bross..

Right click on th page then click page properties then selcet jquery mobile.

select the theme roller to do the modifications you need.


For you to be able to preview your file properly in web browser you will need to do the following:

1. make sure you have created a folder for your project. e.g "mobile app" in your C: drive or any location you choose and note it.

2. Go to "tools" in wysiwyg program then click options

3. In the Options panel, click on files and folders then go to preview folders and change the path there to the exact location of the folder you created "mobile app" and click ok.

4. When you start creating your app, always save to the folder "mobile app" you created. make sure you use the "save as" button for every changes you make and also ensure that the folder you are saving to is "mobile app" folder.

When all this is done. All text, images, events , animations etc will be previewed completely.

The start project from existing html isnt displayed in my xdk at all.. I have a feeling its the internet so I cant emulate..I'll deal with that later.. But the preview in browser is displaying only the background color and nothing more? Why?? Did I miss anything?

YES you need to tamper with the wysiwyg setting. I had similar problems to when I started. I will post pix later on how to tweak it.

You're the best brother.. I got all your tips.. I have built the app, but I think there are inconsistencies with the page arrangements.. Is there a specific tactic for page arrangements?? Especially for items in the drop down menus..
I'll go online tomorrow to be able to emulate what I've built for correction cuz I cant start a new project from existing html file due to the offline mode(I think..). Any tips on page arrangements and linking in drop downs will be appreciated.Thanks

you can emulate ur app offline. It is only when u want to build d real apk that you need internet.

Arranging pages requires some skills. It depends on how many pages is involve, images, are adding animations, events etc. When u preview ur work in a browser. It may be inconsistent with d emulator in Intel xdk. So a little tweaking like linkking and open in New window is required etc.

1. I am having problems changing the background of the index page. The background colour icon on the 'page' tab dosent work..Please help..
2. I have problems creating sub links and 'linking' them to the mother link in a drop down navigation..and inputing their contents..

it is possible. With d tools available in the wysiwyg program. I believe it is possible. Knowlegde of database may be required I think for storing and retrieving info when people login. That may be beyond me. But very very possible

well you can use that to practice. Or run a search on a torrent site to get it. That is what I can offer.

I tried to import from intel xdk but it crashed and closed down.. Is there a way to copy the code to intel xdk? Although I tried that but intel xdk says the code is incompatible.. make sure the first page is titled 'index' then go to intel xdk and create a project from existing file. navigate to where your index file is. select and click create
