PRAYER POINTS Father, I thank You for the institution of marriage, a blessed school where we learn and grow together. Lord, according to Your word in Proverbs 9:6, I forsake foolishness and choose the path of understanding in my marriage. Grant me the wisdom to build my home. Father, I ask for the grace to diligently and humbly study my spouse. Help me to understand their strengths, weaknesses, joys, and what causes them pain. Lord, please forgive me for every time I have been impatient or easily offended by my spouse's weaknesses. Remove every spirit of contention and strife from my heart. Father, grant me the patience to support my spouse in their areas of struggle, whether it's with time management, expressing feelings, or any other challenge. Lord, just as you brought Eve to Adam, I pray that you will help me to see my spouse as "bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh," and to cleave to each other as one. Holy Spirit, teach me how to resolve conflicts in my marriage with love and wisdom. Give my spouse and me the grace to never be angry at the same time. Father, just like Pastor Adeboye learned what worked for his wife, help me to discover the unique ways to show love and make peace with my spouse. Lord, deliver me from the pride of thinking I know everything about my partner. Instill in me a spirit of continuous learning and discovery within my marriage. (Key Point) Father, help my spouse and me to support each other in achieving our individual and collective goals, that we may succeed together in every aspect of life. Lord, for those who are single and preparing for marriage, grant them the wisdom to choose a partner they can joyfully learn and grow with for a lifetime. O Thou Great Jehovah, I am weak, but You are mighty; hold my marriage with Your powerful hand. Be the strength and shield of my home. (Hymn: Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah) Father, when challenges arise in my marriage, let Your Holy Spirit, the Strong Deliverer, lead us through and bring us to a place of peace and safety. Father, please bless Your son, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and his wife. Thank you for their example, and continue to strengthen their union as a model for us all. I rededicate my marriage to You today, Lord. Help my spouse and me to work together in love and understanding, building a home that brings glory to Your name, in Jesus’ name. In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen. Thank You, Father, for the beautiful gift of my spouse. I commit to loving, understanding, and learning about each other every day for the rest of our lives, by Your grace. Amen. |

Father, I thank You for the powerful examples of the poor widow in Luke 21 and the widow in Pastor Adeboye's testimony, who demonstrated unwavering commitment through sacrificial giving. Lord, forgive me for every time I have observed the 'wind' of my circumstances or regarded the 'clouds' of inconvenience, and therefore failed to sow into Your kingdom or reap Your blessings. (Ecclesiastes 11:4) Father, forgive me for the times I have prioritized my comfort and convenience over Your express instructions and the call to serve You.
