Computers / Internet Penetration In Nigeria: by daltonoke: 4:17pm On Dec 03, 2010
Hey. I got into a heated argument with a friend regarding Internet penetration in Nigeria. While he was of the opinion that the quality of Internet in Nigeria is still below international standards and that too many people still do not have access, I am of the view that we've done quite well in light of the issues we have as a country. I supported my position with data of subscribers on the various ISP,GSM and CDMA networks and he more or less stated that the figures were cooked up. I therefore would like clarification from the public sphere; how many Nigerians actually use the Internet? What do the likes of Mobitel, Swift, DOPC, Netcom, Linkserve, Glo, Zai, sorry, Airtel, MTN, Starcomms, Zoom and the rest of them stand on the matter of Internet penetration? Are the subscriber figures they quote for real?

Computers / Re: Blast Broadband From Linkserve. by daltonoke: 5:43pm On Aug 02, 2010
for all you with the 'big' words, i 've only one word - read! there's no difference between a man who cannot read and the man who won't read! but let me educate u a bit; blast is specifically designed for specific users including medium businesses. individual users (like urself) are not on the list. but then, if u had called or checked their website, u'ld 've known this instead of betraying ur ignorance so blatantly. but then, it's okay for u to talk. we all know that when a small mind cannot afford something, it tends to ridicule it. cheers.

hi. i use blast and while it has not been everything Internet should be (compared to what I get in the U.S) it is by far much better than what the likes of, i won't mention names. i agree with albert; linkserve has been found wanting in the past but with this product, they're well on the way to redeeming themselves. i also hear that they are coming out with a nationwide wireless access service on a really high frequency. now, that i can't wait to get.
