In this World Cup since the super eagles of Nigeria 🇳🇬 will be unable to attend no thanks to our horrible qualification series. . I am rooting for team USA 🇺🇸 team Brazil 🇧🇷 and team Portugal 🇵🇹 so Ronaldo can win the World Cup and bow out gracefully. I am a Ronaldo fan big honestly I am I tired of seeing him still play. Best for Ronaldo to retire when the ovation is loudest. I am not supporting any African team at all I don’t believe in the phony pan African fantasy.
The 2 teams am rooting for this world cup is Portugal and Ivory coast for Africa team

Alexander "The Great" Iwobi is 30 today!

This is not a drill. It is reality. Through all the criticisms and praises, he's emerged into one of the leaders of the Current Super Eagles since his debut vs DRC on October 8th, 2015.
This is also a reminder that he wont be around for much longer after now and we still dont have a bonafide replacement or stand-in for the Active legend Iwobi has grown to become in the GWG. I reckon Iwobi still have till 2030 World Cup to give us. 2027 Afcon, 2028 Afcon and 2030 World Cup.

I believe we will find his replacement(s) eventually or maybe we already have and just needs to give them gametime(+time itself) to grow into the role(s).

In all, Happy Birthday to a True Super Eagle.

NT Stats: 97 Caps, 10 goals, 8 Assists

NB: It is not 99 caps coz games vs Togo on June 1st, 2017 and Algeria on November 10, 2017 were officially rendered invalid in FIFA records.
Nff should start looking for a replacement for Alex iwobi is already getting old .

the nff should already have a plan for how to phase out these guys so that we wont have to be forcing 36 year old iwobi to man the midfield just like we did mikel. Aina too is 30.
That is why the nff are recruiting any foreign born players they see at the moment.

The Golden Eaglet under 17 could have save the problem but we fail to qualifier for the last 2 edition now including the FIFA under 17 world cup . I hope this will affect us again in terms of qualifying for the world cup in 2030 .

The nff are now rely on foreign born players

Our league players are not also good enough for the national team for now am worried

Am not sure if we have start planning for the Olympics football qualifier in 2028

More foreign born players are still coming to the super eagles

The nff have now shift focus on recruiting foreign born players to the super eagles knowing that the Under 17 Golden Eaglet is no longer producing player's for the senior national team for the past 2 edition of the under 17 afcon Golden Eaglet do not make it to the tournament

Positive news if confirmed to be true.

From his youtube highlights I like the fact that he's ambidextrous and looks strong on the ball. However I note that youtube reels of players can be very deceptive but the little I've seen gives me hope we have found worthy competition for Chukwueze if not a long term replacement. Plus at 24 years that's a good enough time for improvement.

Looking forward to seeing Azeez, Okonkwo, Fernandez, Ebenezer, Nnadi, and Otele again at the Unity Cup. Also think guys like Benjamin and Awoniyi should be recalled after their injury layoffs to get up to speed with the national team.

🇳🇬🦅 Alessandro Marcandalli Eyeing Super Eagles Switch. Genoa centre-back Alessandro Marcandalli, born to an Italian father and Nigerian mother, is having a standout season in Serie A and catching the NFF’s eye. The 23-year-old has been key in Genoa’s defense and is open to representing Nigeria.

Marcandalli has fond memories of Nigeria, from family visits to loving his mother’s jollof rice, and says the decision to switch nationalities will be personal. With Nigeria’s defense in transition, he could be a crucial addition alongside stars like Calvin Bassey and Emmanuel Fernandez.

• No Nigerian match officials have been selected for the World Cup

Aina and Osayi are nearing 30 if not already 30. Alebiosu is 24. Kayode offers us not just youth but top quality. His long throws, crossing and defensive/offensive balance will be added weapons for the Super Eagles too.

Midfielders... Yes we need reinforcements. Wingers... Yes we need reinforcements. Even in the CF role... we gotta look beyond Osimhen and Akor. Outside those two and an experienced 30+ Onuachu, who do we have really? So I am pretty sure we got our eyes on these departments especially midfield which I have been harping about for years.

But know this, na the foreign born talent wey give us audience after we reach out, we go quickly go in for. We ain't forcing the GWG on anyone. Look at how willingly Fernandez came after we reached out, despite knowing his value is on the rise as a CB at Rangers. That is exactly how it is gonna be or at least close to it.

We need quality attacking midfielder now in the current super eagles squad
