I've been wondering whether reincarnation exists?if it's real?. To some it exists and some said it doesnt. It is the belief that after somebody's death, their soul lives again in another body. They're the ones referred to as 'AKUDAYA' in the yoruba term. Some said if the dead person hasnt completed his or her mission on earth, such a person will be reincarnated but in another place or country, and some said once a person is dead, that's the end. i could recall the story of my aunt who runs a hotel;a man who was lodging in the hotel came to her and said he has a misunderstanding with his wife,he told her to help them resolve it and she agreed. So he gave her his wife phone no. She called the wife and told her she wants to discuss something with her in person the wife agreed to come the following week. So on one faithful day,two men came to the hotel bar to have a drink and they saw the man,the man also saw them and immediately went out of the bar. The two men were claiming they knew him from Ghana(from Ghana to nigeria),that he was already dead and buried, they said they didnt mistook him for sum1else,that he was the one. While trying to get the man in question(d hotel management)they discovered the man was nowhere to be found, his room was vacant and his cloths were still there. The man never came back and my aunt had to called the wife not to worry again, assuming she had told the wife it's about a dispute btw her and her husband, that would've been another palava on it's own,the man might still be in another country now,who knows. So I was contemplating on whether it's real or not and i decided to bring it here. what's your own thoughts about it? Does it exists or not? |

This is a poem dedicated from me to all women(especially widows) who have been victims of harmful traditional pratices The bread-winner is gone unto the land of our silent fathers the fear of the woman is ignited what cometh next? The village women;already gathered equipped with razor; armed with water clutching woven mat what cometh next? She was dragged out from the loving arms of her fruits what cometh next? Supressed by able-bodied men on the mat she put forth her voice as the vicious object pass through her scalp what cometh next? Her face looking towards her mouth yield open as the water cascaded down her throat what cometh next? Kept in a dark room for seven fearful nights & days sleeping and rising with a corpse what cometh next? The urgency for enlightenment a wicked and babaric culture that needs to be eradicated what cometh next? The need to be treated like a womanwith dignity and pride the agony of a woman so painful. |

I've noticed that most writers are usually atheist(i dont want to become one)why is it so? Is it because of continous acquiring of knowledge and studying and reading of many(too much) books? I was told some started like that and go on to become professors and then they ended up becoming atheists & critics who posseses intellectual knowledge(if am right about that). I have the aim of becoming a professor in future but now am uncertain, afraid of becoming one cos i really do BELIEVE that God exist(not discriminating against atheists tho,it's a free world). Is there a possibility to be turned?. What changes their mind because i know some of them do believe in God while they still young kids. What's ur thought? |

I have seen people using the names of their pastor when praying, like God of this,God of that hear my prayer, rather than praying to God directly. To me i see it as something wrong cos u don't know if the pastor has his own small god who he is worshipping in secret n you re indirectly worshipping his god too by sayin d god of this(your pastor name).xo nlanders what's your view about this?...apy xunday |
