I got a mail from info@chanmedical-jp.com expressing their interest to buy a mining product (Goshenite) in Nigeria from (Mile Mining Nigeria Limited) requesting me to act as purchase representative and be given a percentage of purchase and backed up by MoU since they are foreigners and have never been to Nigeria.

I visited the website contacted Mile as requested and confirmed the availability of goshenite. All the details were forwarded to the said company. The company Chan Medical Equipment Limited promise to process visa for two approved staff and come to the country to purchase the raw materials.

I was later contacted that the Nigeria embassy in Japan requested for International Approved Confirmation Order Certificate (IACOC) and International Exportation Control Code Number (IECCN) before the visa can be granted and due to urgency, I should help contact the mining company to process the document. The mining company said IACOC is issued by Nigeria Custom at a cost of N120,000.00 and IECCN is issued by Ministry of Mine and Steel at a cost N270,000.00 with a year validity. The company requested me to procure the document and will be paid back once the representative arrived the country. The payment was made and was given receipt and the certificate.

I was told a parcel will be delivered for deposit with the company so as for the company to know their level of seriousness and commitment and help pay the custom clearance fees since they couldn't pay it from their end that has to be in local currency of the
recipient. I didn't suspect a foul play until the issue of custom who claimed to seize the parcel came in and that he has to be settled before releasing it.

Here are the details of the information provided and the account that received the payment. Any useful idea to track these criminals will be appreciated.
