EseFUF:
Hello, please what's the process of applying for SWOP.
How did you go about it?
Hi EseFUF,

1. Ensure your spouse is eligible for it, depending on the course and duration of your study.
2. Write a well detailed statement of purpose (with heading: Application for Spouse open work permit)
3. Fill the required form on the application portal.
4. check for utube video and watch.
5. Check previous post on this platform.
6. Commit it to God's hands in prayer.
I pray this helps as i don't have info on what you have done so far. Regards,

A3autos:
Please can someone here explain how to generate MBS statement directly to embassy from GTB bank, after the recent upgrade, I couldn’t find canada on the list but I saw VFS global. please can I select VFS global for canada ?
Hi A3autos,
Is it possible to generate it yourself? i was in one of their branch last week to request for the same MBS and i was informed the platform is not working and i just got bank statement and used it like that.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by damyzel: 3:42pm On Oct 11, 2024
MarksmanD:
Go to your bank and ask the bank support staff that you need an MBS ticket for Canadian Embassy. They'll create it for you and forward it to your email. How I did mine was, I also asked the bank to send me 6 months of my account statement. MBS ticket was the first document on my POF. The next was my account statement, and my GIC document. Then my payslips for a year. My invoices. Then other receipts. If you're using a sponsor account, let their statement come after your own account statement. There's no special way to arrange it, but just do it in order of importance to you.
Thank you MarksmanD and Congratulations,

Dear Friends of the house,

please, i want to liquidate my mutual funds in order to get MBS from my bank for my LOE. which account is best to use salary/savings account. then please is it a must to include my salary account? kindly advise. is there a salary that is low to show a VO?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by damyzel: 11:14am On Sep 30, 2024
bullstriker:
A well-written statement of purpose with supporting documents is vital in addressing such reasons. A review of the following questions could help you determine how to address the issues related to you.
What are the job prospects in Nigeria after completing the program? Is the program worth the cost? Was your salary small? Did you submit sufficient employment documents like an employment letter, pay slips or bank statements showing your monthly salary, Work ID, etc.? Were you recently employed?

There are many reasons why a VO might have an issue with your intention to pursue studies. One such reason is redundancy concerning previous education. So, order your GCMS note to know the concern of the VO.
@ Bullstriker,
Please, how much salary is small. Is monthly salary of between 450k - 480k? good on account statement.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by damyzel: 10:26am On Sep 23, 2024
Good morning Everyone,

Please friends and gurus in the house, kindly help. I submitted application for a family of 4. 4statement of accounts (GTBank (naira & Dom Acc) Zenith Acct and Stanbic Acct (Mutual fund Account containing N44.9m) which was in my maiden name. My Sister in law residing in US paid my school fees in full. I attached her work and yearly tax assessment, her birth certificate, change of name, marriage certificate and my home ties- my dad, landed properties. i attached my husband's statement of account his home ties about 4siblings in nigeria only one outside nigeria. Also have just one sibling in US too. please see my GCM Notes. How do i treat this with all my submission and am seeing processed with the assistance of chinook3+. can someone help me. i am very sad and weak because this refusal is baseless. The mutual fund was not even stated at all as if i did not attach it.

GCM NOTES FROM IRCC - BELOW
The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for the applicant (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

Applicant provided their bank statements with closing balances of USD 2,005: NGN 1,122,404 and
NGN 212,286

Applicant's sister-in-law (spouse's sister as per support letter) to financially sponsor. Beyond a
written indication, there is no other documentation substantiating the relationship between PA and
sponsor. No birth certificate provided for the applicant and sponsor. Family link could not be
established. Bank statements provided. Banking transactions show some seem funds available.
Financial information is not supported with sufficient evidence for the bank statement balances on
file. Limited evidence pertaining to the source on stated funds.

Applicant will be accompanied by spouse and two minor children. Applicant's most expenses are
being supported by the sponsor. Applicant's personal ability is very limited. I am not satisfied
applicant has sufficiently explained the relationship in a way that justifies the huge undertaking of
the sponsor to fund their expenses.

Considering the costs of living for the family of five in the intended destination including but not
imited to transportation, shelter, and food, I am not satisfied that there will be sufficient unhindered
funds or other financial means to support the proposed trip and initial settlement.

Tuition payment noted. Additional funds are required for living expenses.

Based on the documentation on file, and the limited information demonstrating the availability of the
funds, I have concerns that third party funds would be sufficient and available for the proposed
studies. Therefore, I am not satisfied that applicant has sufficient and available financial resources to
pay the tuition fees for the program of studies that they intend to pursue and to pay for living
expenses while in Canada.[/b][/i]

From your previous post, hope you know that college student are not eligible for SOWP, you might also need to recheck your fund for family of four. Also studying a course below your current level education is a bad signal. Given that your application was rejected in less than two weeks of submission, Why not share your details and document submitted for the gurus here to assist you.
I am aware that College students are not eligible for SOWP. I was going for a master's program.
