I got a student visa approved for Canada but couldn't proceed due to funds and I had some career interests change as well.

Tinubu did not promise cheap fuel. He promised to remove subsidy and every reasonable person knows what that means. The discussion now should center around alternative to fuel, mode of transport that will guarantee less reliance on petrol and diesel. Nigerians need well paying jobs, security, justice, rule of law , good and reliable infrastructure that will guarantee better quality of life and not cheap fuel. We must get our priorities right. Our orientation need to change from analogue to digital and from 1980 to the 21st century. If we want to develop like the west, then our thinking, expectations and ways of doing things must change.

Dangote refinery can't sell to us below what it costs it to produce the petrol.

NNPC claims they are owing over $6 billion due in part to subsidy payments. Yet you want them to continue to pay subsidy so petrol price can be low.

If the country can no longer afford to pay subsidy, we need to face the reality that with the exception of the Arab nations, petrol is an expensive product in almost every country in the world.

In Niger Republic, Ghana and many other neighbouring countries, petrol sells for around N1300.

It is unrealistic to think petrol cam continue to sell for N600 here.

If we have to pay between N850 - N900 for Mr Dangote's petrol, we just have to manage it.
