Recently, there has been an update in the UK visa system; espercially for applications from students. The update requires that the Institution in which the applicant plans to study should be recognized by a certain body in the UK. I'm not too sure of the name of the body now, but you should find it at ServiceForts or simply google for the updates in UK student visa applications. Cheers |
Dan: The Entry Clearance Officer who views your applications usually wants to know if you are able to pay your way through school without depending on public funds or working in the UK and better still he / she wants to know if you are actually going over to study and not something else. So how do you intend to remove or at least calm his / her fears without an evidence of financial commitment to your 'reasons' for the visa application? Its adviseable to visit UKVisa Secrets before making the applications. Cheers. Reply to: hi guys, i just secured admission into one of the uk universities and was not asked to make a deposit, infact i even was given a 2000pounds scholarship, i have ben told by the school that i should use the offer letter to apply for a visa. will non payment of deposit be a problem in securing visa? |
I read some where that one could usually apply for the visa early and have it post-dated. May be that does not apply to student visas. But you could visit UKVisa Secrets; they usually have answers to these type of questions. |
A visa is an official stamp of the embassy or high commission of a country in an individual’s passport or traveling document. It officially authorizes him/her to travel to that country for a period of time which is ususlly stated on the visa. The visa is usually granted for a specific purpose. An individual may be denied entry into a country where he/she has no valid entry visa. Such an individual may be repatriated if he/she manages to enter the country and is later discovered. Any person who satisfies the visa rules and regulations of a particular county may be issued a visa. More often than not, people get denied visas not because they are not qualified for it, but because they fail to take advantage of simple and available information resources that will help them to understand what a visa officer really requires from them. Suggestions of what to do before applying for a visa to any country of your choice without any fear of visa-rejection can be found at an informative site, ServiceForts. |
