Celebrities28 Or 35? Did Munachi Abii Lied About Her Age? by Danielklinton(op): 2:13pm On Nov 06, 2015
28? 35? Who’s counting anyway! Former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Munachi Abii’s age became the center of attention yesterday, after conflicting birthday messages were sent to the beauty queen.
While many waited for her to address the controversy, the ex-beauty queen deliberately kept her age under wraps, leaving room for speculation, and suggestions that there was indeed a deliberate cover-up.
In 2012, a popular online blog posted this: Munachi Abii stunning in red as she turns 25 While her Wikipedia page says, Munachi Gail Teresa Abii Nwankwo was born 5 November 1980 (now age 35).

To some, age is just a number, but for a public figure like Muna it goes beyond numbers. Did she deliberately lied about her age to enter for the MBGN pageant in 2007? Why are their different reports of her age online? These are burning questions the top model would need to address once and for all. - See more at: http://olorisupergal.com/osgexclusive-28-or-35-did-munachi-abii-lied-about-her-age/#sthash.GNKdANoe.dpuf

Forum GamesToyin Aimakhu Comes For 'haters' Who Believe Her Marriage Is A Joke by Danielklinton(op): 12:12pm On Sep 21, 2015
It’s no news that Toyin Aimakhu and her husband, Adeniyi Johnson, have been enmeshed in some marital woes lately after she caught him cheating for the 2nd time this year.
With all sorts of rumours about a divorce, the star actress seem to have disappointed her haters when she moved back into her matrimonial home.
However, despite the couple appearing to be very happy with each other, many people believe that their relationship is simply a joke.
They credit both Toyin and Adeniyi's past “poor track record” for their relationship not being taken seriously.
Worried about her scandalous marriage, the 31-year-old actress is ready to put all her haters on mute and make a commitment that will last forever. Toyin wondered how those in their 2nd marriage upwards have any right to criticize hers.
The actress cum producer added that while she and her hubby are facing stereotypes of unstable relationships that many celebrities go through, their marriage is intact and stronger than ever.

CelebritiesYoruba Movie Stars Who Have Made The Religious Pilgrimage To Mecca by Danielklinton(op): 10:59am On Sep 21, 2015
By Seyi Peters

Alhaji or Alhaja - the honorific title given to a devout Muslim who has completed the once-in-a-life-time pilgrimage to Mecca - carries the kudos of the knighthood in the Commonwealth world. Like turning 'Sir' one who has completed Hajj is vaunted with the proud pre-fix before their name, and so joins the ranks of the global faithful everywhere.

Celebrities with their eye on the glory, more than any other starry eyed members of society, love the chance to be piled with more titles and honors, especially if they have failed to bag international recognized awards.

Whether they're more famous for their good acting, expensive lifestyles or scandalous private lives, many of Nigerian darling celebrities are taking a break from the hype to make that spiritual journey to Mecca for Hajj or Umrah.

During this holy Hajj week we have spotted some of our Yoruba celebs who like to flirt with their religion like their fans. Some use it to repair marriages - the ultimate couple counselling - others to earn brownie points with the Almighty and wipe their scandal-ridden slates clean.

Nollywood stars, Dayo Amusa and Fathia Balogun have joined a growing list of Yoruba actresses like Tayo Odueke aka Sikirat Sindodo, Kemi Afolabi and Laide Bakare to observe this years Hajj Pilgrimage. They celebs were spotted at different times wearing Hijabs at the Hollyland.

Celebs can be good Muslims too, their public pilgrimages suggest. But is there more to these religious sacrifices than meets the eye?

PoliticsHow NASS Clerk Ensured Saraki Became Senate President by Danielklinton(op): 12:53pm On Jul 20, 2015
has been revealed that the Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikasuwa, rejected plot by some politicians to stall the inauguration of the National Assembly on June 9.

The clerk also stalled the bid to stop the election of Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, after rejecting a proposal to call off the sitting of the Senate at 10.00 a.m. on June 9.

Sources in the National Assembly had told the Nigerian Tribune that following the rejection of the proposal to send reminder text messages to all senators and members of the House of Representatives for a meeting at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, by the APC national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, leaders of the party behind the push resorted to the national secretary.

It was also gathered that the leaders sent three ranking senators to Maikasuwa to convey to him the need to keep the sitting of the Senate in abeyance.

PoliticsReal Reason Buhari's Ministerial List Is Delayed by Danielklinton(op): 12:34pm On Jul 20, 2015
Indications have emerged over the weekend behind the real reason President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to unveil his ministerial list.

According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, the delay in the unveiling of the long-awaited ministerial list after the President's two months in office might not be unconnected to the fact that about 33 nominees were found guilty of misappropriation of public funds.

The report says only three out of the 36 nominees successfully passed the screening conducted by the security agencies.

It was further revealed that the nominees submitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) hierarchy were subjected to scrutiny by the DSS, EFCC, ICPC, CBN, the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), and the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) for forensic screening.

However, the results came as a huge disappointment to the president who planned to have a corruption-free administration.

A source said: “Buhari has said anybody with skeleton in the closet will not work with him irrespective of the role he or she played. If such persons are around him, it means he may be pressurised to compromise his principled stance”.

PoliticsMarriage Mayhem Of Nigeria’s Silver Spoon Kids …why Marriage Is Becoming A Bore by Danielklinton(op): 12:26pm On Jul 20, 2015
Marriages of silver spoon kids have attained the status of just one other routine indulgence amongst their kind in the high society. Unlike their less privileged peers, they bat no eyelid and remain unperturbed even while their marriages careen towards a disastrous end. That is because due to their enviable pedigree, when their talk-of-the-town marriages hit the iceberg, they are quick to run off and start over with some new lover.

It gets easier for them to quit their failing or failed marriages to embark on some new romantic enterprise given their unrestricted access to daddy or mummy’s money or trust fund.

Notwithstanding this immutable fact, not a few people, particularly scions of the Nigeria’s filthy rich, will contend that the uncertainties of silver spoon romance, the fatalism of cupid as well as the dilemmas of conscience and egotism all critically constitute unfair influences in the crash of so many silver spoon marriages. However, it will be wrong to imagine all that as the major reasons why silver spoon marriages crash. It is instructive to note that many superrich couples actually fail to immerse themselves in wedlock to such a degree that they will become bothered by any critical downturn in their marital fortunes.

Given their pedigree, they usually don’t need each other for survival and comfort, as are the cases with many wannabe celebrity couples or marriage partners from the working class divide. Thus, rather than work at making the marriage work, they simply decide to move on to the next available love interest. Having married young, they keep on marrying, springing from bride to bride or groom to groom like the chamois of the Alps undeniably adept at leaping from crag to crag. For instance, when Tope Atere and Lande Atere got married some years ago, it was believed that no society wedding would compare with theirs again. Brimming with frills required to make a Prince’s marriage a success, their marriage was expected to be ethereal in breadth and substance. Adding depth to their pedigree is the fact that Tope is from the famous Atere family in Ogun State; but all that is not enough to guarantee the couple’s marriage as it currently totters on the brink of collapse.

Not to forget the grand ceremony that heralded the coming together of Faith Aiyegbeni, the daughter of the owner of D-Rovans hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State, Chief Francis Aiyegbeni, and Saton. Theirs was another marriage that rocked the foundations of Oyo high society until their marital adventure ended on a sour note. Throughout the marriage, Faith allegedly refused to play the submissive wife – a situation reportedly attributed to the fact that Saton, depended on her for everything. Faith reportedly handled the bills and took the major decisions in the house thus relegating her husband to the position of a minion. Although parties close to them explained that they tried patching things up, all their efforts amounted to naught.

Also, Eyitayo, the son of Dr. Onaolapo Soleye, joined the ignominious train; the handsome dude has washed his hands off anything that has to do with Olayombo his wife of barely three months then. Then, there is Olamipo, the daughter of Chief Alao Akala, the former governor of Oyo State whose marriage to Lanre Aboderin has run its full course. Theirs was a seemingly blissful nuptial that, many a time, Olamipo’s peers get to imagine themselves in her shoes, with some even wondering why she seemed to be the luckiest among them. She is young and pretty; a silver spoon kid with Ivy League education; add to that mix a husband in the mould of Lanre. However, the seed of discord began to germinate between them for undisclosed reasons and soon, Olamipo vacated their matrimonial home. Now, all the starry-eyed visions the couple had have been consigned to the waste basket of history.

More amusing is the fact that Aderike Shonekan’s guilty pleasures ruined her marriage. Aderike is the daughter of former interim president, Chief Ernest Shonekan. When she tied the knots with Bimbo Ajitena few years ago, the eaves of Lagos creaked with excitement and merriment. Theirs seemed a perfect marriage until her aristocratic background allegedly got into her head and she refused to submit to her man. Aderike, it was gathered, could not envision herself being subservient to any man and that didn’t sit well with her husband. Sooner than anyone could imagine, Aderike sought escape from her tumultuous marriage visiting top watering-holes almost every Friday night in company of her friends, Louise Priddy, Tilewa Johnson, Feyi Akinrinola, Alaba Ayoku, and others. Predictably, her outrageous lifestyle took its toll on her marriage and she was thrown out of her matrimonial home to the dismay of her aristocratic family.

Forget Arike and Abi Kuku and Funke Fowler, Patrick Koshoni ravenously savours the thrill of bachelorhood, for the second time. The relish with which he enjoys his newfound freedom even as he ignores the consternation of his friends and family brings to mind, Plutarch, Greek philosopher’s memorable work, Parallel Lives, ‘Life of Aemilius Paulus.’ In the story, a Roman got divorced from his wife. The Roman, highly blamed by his friends, who demanded, 'Was she not chaste? Was she not fair? Was she not fruitful?' holds out his shoe and asked his friends whether it was not new and well made. ‘Yet,’ he added, ‘none of you can tell where it pinches me.’ Like the proverbial Roman, Patrick certainly had good reasons for refusing to salvage his marriage to Karen before it hit the rocks. And despite her status and affluence, the wedding vow: “For richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part,” did not really work for Halima, Princess and daughter of Alhaji Hassan, billionaire oil magnate. As you read, what was supposed to be her fairytale has mutated into an everlasting nightmare. The ravishing Princess’ marriage to Usman Abubakar has crumbled like a pack of cards. It would be recalled that the couple got married in a grand wedding ceremony that attracted society heavyweights. Today, while the ancient city of Kano still relieves the grand celebration of love, in faraway United Kingdom, the couple has bid each other goodbye. Shortly after the wedding, the couple relocated to London and it was there that things started going awry. Reports indicate that Halima refused to swallow the humble pie and be submissive to her man. Bolstered by her privileged background and status, she toyed with her marriage and ended up driving it against the rocks.

The list is as long and endless as their sad stories prompting questions and tiresome rhetoric about the wisdom of silver spoon marriages. Oftentimes, the estranged couples shamelessly wash their dirty linens in public revealing to all and sundry things that are best kept secret. Many a party to such marriages has revealed that they had been victims of forced marriages and inconvenient betrothals that never enjoyed their consent. After spending so much money, the farce devastatingly ends oftentimes for the two strange bed fellows forcefully united on the altar of their parents’ vanities and egotism. However, they hardly get to help the situation as they seemingly only seek to enjoy the good times and every thrill and frill of their wedlock. At the slightest eruption of trouble or challenge of any kind, they become grossly insouciant, uncooperative and eventually pack their bags or quit their home.

Such arrant superciliousness remains unacceptable to partners who oftentimes are wrought of similar character. When everything gets to a head, their marriage becomes gossip material for many society journals that cash in on this and sensationalize it. Consequently, the minor issues are blown out of proportion by the persistent sensationalism accorded it by the media and the public. Courtesy their incessant exposure of their dirty linens or best kept secrets to the public, they satisfy the obsessive lusts and perversions of the media and news audience who maniacally seek out the smell of brimstone in lives made too affluent and easy. It’s no surprise then that such celebrity marriages crash and sink like a brittle ship no sooner than it set on its course.

PoliticsNaeto C's Father-in-law Battles Step-son, Dilly Over Business Deals by Danielklinton(op): 1:33pm On Jul 08, 2015
By Tope Ojo
“Money, of course, is never just money. It's always something else, and it's always something more, and it always has the last word,” said Paul Auster, U.S. writer. Aster’s words bring to mind the wisdom of late German economist and philosopher, Karl Marx. Speaking of money, Marx said: “It is the common LovePeddler, the common procurer of people and nations.” These profound summations no doubt speaks to vanity and greed of these two auto dealers.
He is not one of the thousands that “could have overcome the darkness,” but unlike Bob Dylan, late American rock star’s greedy thousand, Okwudili Umenyiora, the owner of Dilly Motors is too smart to die for “a lousy buck,” he has simply sold his reputation for it. The sweet simplicity of the steep percents as his wanton inclinations for the money habit may have finally done him in. However, a silent hostility is currently going on between two famous auto dealers, Chief Jerry Chukwueke CEO Germain motors and owner of Dilly motors, Okwudili Umenyiora. In fact, Chief Chukwueke who is Naeto C's father-in-law detests seeing the Dilly motors boss and he is said to have drawn the battle line. The reason is hardly far-fetched; it arose from the struggle to take over juicy contracts to supply cars to government functionaries in Nigeria.
The deals to supply vehicles to government circles is said to be firmly in the grip of Dilly motors who is said to have hijacked the deal from Germain motors. Interestingly, Chief Chukwueke is Dilly's step father by virtue of marriage to his mother, Mrs Chinelo. Dilly's mother had divorced his father Igwe John Ositadinma, monarch of Ogbunike in Oyi local government in Anambra state when he (Dilly and his brother) were young, the mother went on to remarry Chief Jerry Chukwueke who is the father of Naeto C's wife, Nicole. Presently, Dilly motors is said to have cornered most of the contract to supply vehicles to government agencies, a development which is giving his step father Chief Chukwueke a sleepless night. Last year Dilly motors supplied most of the Toyota Prado used by government officials.
Okwudili who is an alleged fugitive from the US live an expensive lifestyle, he drives vintage cars, no high society party in Lagos is complete without him in attendance, he is married to Fifi and the couple and their three children live in what have been described as the most beautiful house in Lagos, the mansion situated around Oniru is a statement of opulence. Dilly has a 1953 Mercedes Benz and a Lamborghini parked right inside one of the living rooms in his obscenely beautiful mansion reputed to be Lagos’ most beautiful house. Other cars dot the expansive compound of his mansion, which also has a lift by the side and a swimming pool that opens up into a part of the sitting room. Dilly is loaded and he doesn’t hide it. But that is where the positives end. Dilly used to live in the United States where he was very conversant with the Baldwin County.

Family"I Started Having Sex At The Age Of Six…" — Nigerian Transgender Dapo Adaralegbe by Danielklinton(op):
There's a gender in your brain and a gender in your body. For 99% of people, those things are in alignment. For transgender people, they're mismatched. That's all it is. It's not complicated. It's not a neurosis. It's a mix-up. It's a birth defect, like a cleft palate.
Although it's difficult to accept them for who they are but they truth is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender-people are people like you and me.
Nature chooses who will be transgender; individuals don't choose this.
That was the case with former student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State, Dapo Adaralegbe, who was a man in a woman's body.

He revealed in a 2001 interview after he was expelled from OAU after his sex escapades with fellow males became public knowledge, Dapo claimed he started having sex at the age of six.

“I told you. I started having sex at the age of six, but no one in my family noticed the problem until I was 14 years old," he said at the time.

Adaralegbe is now known as Stephanie Rose, becoming Nigeria's first transgender after plastic surgery in Europe.

CelebritiesI'm the best stylist in Nigeria- Jeremiah Ogbodo boasts by Danielklinton(op): 6:56pm On Jul 03, 2015
Enter Jeremiah Ogbodo...the guardian of style

There is something inspiring about Jeremiah Ogbodo. Like Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel, he is diligent and imaginative. But unlike Chanel, he channels such ingenuity that even the ace Italian fashion pundit was incapable of, in her prime. Jeremiah flaunts a rare bequest; he possesses the gift of enabling you look inwards many times over to rediscover your innate talents and latent endowments.
In a more idealistic epoch, Jeremiah, Tonto Dikeh, D’banj and Ice Prince’s stylist would have been a historian’s delight, with his arresting disposition, uncompromising moral fibre and enthusiasm, among other enviable traits.
There is no gainsaying the world of business is like a dangerous coast riddled with storms. But despite its turbulent tides, Ogbodo, like a sea-hardened sailor, navigates through the gales armed with a stubborn resolve and unyielding spirit. Today, that relentless spirit of Jeremiah has paid off. Where there is no opportunity, he simply gets up and paves a way. In this chat with Seyi Peters, the sweetheart of many superstars opens the lid on his journey to acclaim in Nigeria’s fashion industry.

Who is Jeremiah Ogbodo?

I'm a lot of things......where do I begin? I'm an entrepreneur, a fashion stylist, a fashion designer _a visionary. l live , eat , breath fashion.

Can you take through early life?

Am from a beautiful family of 6, Christian home, am from Enugu state… lol I think am still in my early life lol, but then I remember sneaking from high school to attended the SoundCity award and the rest but now these award don't hold without me hearing my name on the red carpet epic.....am still studying in the university of Lagos. I have attended a couple of fashion schools, from Newyork to SA to Ghana it's been a journey.

How did styling start for you?

I think I have been styling for as long as I can remember but professionally I stormed the entertainment industry about thirty-three(33)months ago. I started off on a really nice note, "SWANKY is that stylish kid on the block. When I introduced "Swanky's Signatures" it was almost as if the world was like "yes" finally, even though I had a lot of famous people support me, it was not an easy journey to the spot light. God almighty has been faithful to me and am super grateful.

Was your family in support of you going into fashion?
Oh yes! Even though my father was a military officer he supported me. My mum was 100% in support of whatever I wanted to do. She always say “As long as it’s going to make me happy, go ahead.” My family is a strong army behind me.

How did you come up with your brand name?

Long story but I will keep it short. Growing up I had one of my uncles who just always calls me swanky the fashion designer. Everytime I dress up to go out, be it church, lunch, school parties and all, he calls me "swanky the fashion designer. I grew up with close members of my family calling me Swanky, by the time I was in high school everybody was calling me swanky like that. In the course of finding out the meaning back then, I thought to myself this is the perfect brand name for you, since everyone already knew that name.

How long have you been in the industry?

I stormed the fashion industry about 33months ago, when I launched "Swanky's Signatures "15days after my launch I went to Newyork city where I styled DavidO music video, styling collections for designers at the Newyork fashion week and a few celebrities for the NEA.

What’s been your most challenging experience thus far in the industry?
I have worked with almost every name you can think of in the entertainment industry. Who is who in the Cooperate and political world. I have styled various music videos, movies, photoshoots, red carpet, TVC's beauty pageants, weddings, name it, am still looking for my challenge. I have not met my challenge yet. Reason is I wake up every day knowing that the day might both be a blessing and lesson. For this particular reason, I don't notice challenges or failure. My job is full of so many challenges but am always ready so dear challenges am waiting for you.

How would you describe your personal style?
l love comfort so much so I am always dressed the way I feel.

What’s your favorite item in your closet?

Oh that's a big question, hmmmmm thinking........oh wow it's actually so hard my closet OMG! ok I think "Glasses" I can't function without my glasses I don't leave home without one .

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

A book "48 laws of power "

Which trend excites you at the moment?

Denim on denim is my favourite right now and always. It’s a classic any day when put together nicely.

Have you ever had a ‘made it’ moment? Share with us that moment?

Oh Yeah! I had many ‘made it’ moment as they keep increasing by the day. My recent moment was when I worked with the number 1 citizen of the most populous nation in Africa, former President Goodluck Jonathan. it was a made it moment for me, because at about 13 months ago I tweeted that I will love to work with the president and my dream came through during one of his visit to Lagos during the presidential campaign to meet Nigerian youths.

Which celebrity or celebrities gave you your big break?
