During a recent Facebook live session, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo discussed his concerns about what Mr. Peter Gregory Obi of the Labour Party (LP) would have done against him if he had won the presidential election. "If Peter Gregory Obi of the Labour Party has won the presidential election, he would have used power of the government against me. I knew his past (beginning) very well but you may not," he said.

When asked about his stance on Tonye Cole's gubernatorial ambition, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo clarified that he has never stated that he does not support him. He acknowledged that there are people who dislike him because of his Muslim faith but he has no issue with Cole, who is a Kalabari man. He also praised Governor Nyesom Wike for standing with him during the presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has urged political parties dissatisfied with the results of the recent presidential election to seek redress through the Election Petition Tribunal rather than calling for the cancellation of the exercise. The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, have rejected the declaration of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of last week's elections.
