He has no right to ask her to delete the video. Illiteracy is a bad thing in Nigeria. He could ask her to edit him out or blur his face if she agrees that where they are is considered a public space.

How many photos or videos have you taken and all the people who appeared in the video(people passing) come to you and asked you to delete the video? If she was doing a prank and made the lecturer participate in her video without consent, then he could ask her to delete it.

He said he needed her to delete it. Why would she delete the video. If she refuse why take the phone off of her? Why not report the matter to the senate and let them cook?

She was not even inside his class, he could ban her in his class or ask her to leave but she was not in a class.
