COMMITMENT TO OUR CHOICES

They say the choices we make in life make us. Well, I say the our commitment to those choices is what really makes us. Choices are important but it is only the first step to a journey which characterised by commitment. The goals we all set to achieve in life are tied to how much we're willing to give or sacrifice to make them happen. Choices are in words but commitment calls for action. You may have chosen to go through this path but your ability to stand by it and follow through consistently is what brings the result. The results we get is a function of how committed we are to the course.

Life is a matter of the choices we all make. The results we get determines whether the choices we made were good or bad. It means there are no bad choices but bad results.... Nairaland / General / Six (6) Things A True Leader Must Do by dannyodia101(m): 6:46pm On Mar 12, 2016
SIX (6) THINGS A TRUE LEADER MUST DO

The world today has tagged the term "Leadership" to be an authority that commands complete followership. A man who is given the privilege to lead a set of people replaces the privilege with power and abuses it. Leaders of today have demanded loyalty from their followers rather than earn it. Followers have now pledged their loyalty to royalty to a point where he's (the leader) is seen as a deity. Leaders have made themselves the centre of attraction making their followers worshippers. Leaders now see authority as a self pleasing zone rather than a place to serve the people who have placed them there.

Now leaders are not just conventionally the government but each and everyone of us who one way or the other have been placed heads over people. In our offices, homes, schools, markets, churches, mosque or wherever we've found ourselves. How much have we really affected those people under us? How can we say we've served? How do you treat these people under your care? Does your royalty affect their loyalty or infect their loyalty towards you? These are questions we must ask ourselves as leaders. Now we're gonna analyse who a leader is and what a true leader represents in actual sense. These are the six (6) things a true leader should do. This is the hallmark of a leader. Here they are... http://dannyworld.net/2016/03/12/six-6-things-a-true-leader-must-do/ click on the link above and get to see those things a leader must to foster a progress at the job and better working relationship with his followers. THE IGNORANT MAN

They say the worst disease in the world is called IGNORANCE. I do agree. A man who has got his mind clouded with thoughts of his and disregards ideas, perceptions and inventions of others is an IGNORANT man. An IGNORANT man is a destitute to learning. An IGNORANT mind is a closed mind. An unrefined mind is one that rejects anything unfamiliar to it. An ignorant man gets irritated at knowledge. An IGNORANT man exhort himself in his folly. IGNORANCE they say creates a mindset. In most cases, the wrong mindset. Knowledge is accessed as much as you're able to expose yourself to. But an IGNORANT man exposes himself to nothing but himself. An IGNORANT man is always right and never wrong. He surrounds himself around false self-pleasing facts. Only his words make meaning to him.

Nairaland / General / Why People Put In So Much And Gain So Little by dannyodia101(m): 12:52pm On Feb 17, 2016
WISE LABOUR

Once upon a time, a man called Jones worked so hard for every penny he had as a businessman. He pumped in so much money and time into his clothing line business but made so little from it. Jones was frustrated after labouring in his business for over 5 years. Jones’ idea of a good businessman was purely hardwork. Then he met Jake, a young man who was full of ideas. Jake had never ventured into a major business. So he offered Jones his business ideas in exchange to become a partner in Jones’ line of business. Jones didn’t have much of a choice at that point so he agreed. Within months, Jones’ clothing line was making huge revenue. Today, Jones and Jake are partners and their clothing line is one of the biggest and most patronised in the country.

It tells you one thing, hardwork is good but smartwork is better. A man could LABOUR for years and things may not just be working out for him. It doesn’t mean he hasn’t be working. It means he hasn’t been pressing the right buttons. Now sometimes for you to be able to get to those right buttons, you need to... http://dannyworld.net/2016/02/17/wise-labour/ check out the blog using the link to ge a full view of this amazing article. Politics / Do You Think The Funds Stolen By The 23,000 Ghost Workers Can Be Recovered? by dannyodia101(m): 9:35am On Feb 12, 2016
DO YOU THINK THE FUNDS STOLEN BY THE 23,000 GHOST WORKERS CAN BE RECOVERED?

A warm welcome to y'all on hot topic today. Some hours ago, the minister of finance Kemi Adeosun came out to tell the senate committee on finance and Nigerians that 23,000 ghost workers and banks have been collecting salaries and bonuses from the federal government from the comfort of their beds without moving a muscle. She said these ghost workers have been conniving with the EFCC over the years which is explains why they've never been caught until now. Question is, how long have this been going on? If 23,000 non-government workers have been paid by the government over years, then it raises a lot of questions for the civil service administration. It means the records have not been properly kept. The government should have an organised database of its workers and those retired and entitled to pension. If on an average of 10 years, FG paid 23,000 ghost workers a sum of N500,000 every month. It means in a year, 23,000 people would have been paid N6million each. In 10 years, 23,000 would have been paid N60million each. It tells how much Nigeria has lost and why we're in debt.

The big question for today is, do you think these 23,000 (all of them) ghost workers and banks will be apprehended, prosecuted and the funds will be recovered? Or could it just be another case swept under the carpet as usual? Share your thoughts today on the blog... http://dannyworld.net/2016/02/12/do-you-think-the-funds-stolen-by-the-23000-ghost-workers-can-be-recovered/ Tell us what you think. JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER

Bayo’s visitor had arrived. His grandfather had promised to bring him feedback about barrister Bode who was going to defend Bayo in juvenile court. This was going to decide his fate. Whether or not he was going to remain in detention was tied to this day. So the guard walked him to the courtyard to see his visitor. Bayo was anxious.

On arriving to the courtyard,

“What?!” Bayo exclaimed loudly.

“Hello Bayo.” his visitor greeted.

It was Dotun. He had come to pay him a visit. Bayo was in shock and in doubt of who was in front of him. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him. So he stepped back a little.

“Two ghosts in one day? I think I’m in heaven.” Bayo thought he was hallucinating.

“No! No! You’re dead. This can’t be happening. It’s a nightmare. You’re dead!” Bayo yelled loudly as he wobbled backward in dread.

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE P.R.O UNIBEN

Now today on Danny world, we’re having a very important personality right here with us. A man of noble character. A man who is indeed diligent in service. A man responsible for precise dissemination of information in the university of Benin. It is indeed a privilege to have Mr Michael Osasuyi the public relations officer (P.R.O) of the great university of Benin live on Danny world. Here’s how the interview went. Enjoy!

Danny: You’re welcome to Danny world sir.
Mr Osasuyi: Thank you Danny.
Danny: Sir, please officially, introduce yourself to us.
Mr Osasuyi: Okay. My name is Michael .O. Osasuyi and I am the incumbent public relations officer of the university of Benin.
Danny: Great. Sir, what has the experience been like for you so far as the P.R.O?
Mr Osasuyi: Hmm-mm…It’s been challenging, interesting and most of all it’s been God all the way.
Danny: Any challenges?
Mr Osasuyi: Erm-mm…For me, it’s an assignment one needs to rise up to the occasion all the time. When you’ve been saddled with the responsibility of carrying out a task, the task itself is a challenge and the only way to be a victor is by doing the job required. Challenge is the job. You need to inform people at the right time and for the right purpose.
Danny: Hmm-mm very true. People should see their jobs like this. Now if you were to rate yourself, would you say you’ve been very effective at the job so far?
Mr Osasuyi: You see when it comes to rating, I can’t rate myself at this point. It’s the individual who receives this information who is in the right position to rate us. But if I were to rate myself, I would say we have done quite well. We always send out updates to inform students every now and then.
Danny: Hmm-mm fair enough. Sir, this year, the method of admitting students changed drastically. Candidates who scored really high above the benchmark were not given admission. What do you have to say to that please?... www.dannyworld.net/2015/12/12/an-interview-with-the-p-r-o-uniben/ to see the full interview please visit the blog using the link above. DOUBLE-DATING IN RELATIONSHIPS
Sometimes we all want to try out adventures regardless of the risk involved. The truth is, sometimes we get caught up in those adventures and really never come out of it. Now you’d ask, why get into a canoe without a paddle? Why tread the path of a lion when you don’t even have the speed of a cheetah? Why dive into the pool when you can’t swim? Why be in relationships rather than a relationship? Ever wondered why you can’t eat it up your food all at once? It’s because you’ll only gonna end up choking yourself to death. So you take it one bite at a time. This is how a relationship should be. Now if l love someone, I must be able to translate that in everything that concerns that person. A guy tells you he loves you and then the next day he’s telling another lady the same thing. Now he keeps telling you how important you are to him and how you’re the only woman in his life. To you, he’s the perfect guy you’ve always wanted but to him, you’re just another girl on his checklist.

NIGERIA AT 55
A great nation, a great people, a great land filled with enormous resources but with little results. Question is, how great is such a nation? Great people ought to produce great achievements. Nigeria is a great nation but with little achievements. You ask why? It’s because we’ve failed to work as giants even when the world calls us giants of Africa. A nation that has everything but has failed to attain it’s full capacity. It’s independence day again, we may be ageing but are we really growing? How well are we developing as a country? We can certainly do better than we are doing currently. Think about this, South Africa is certainly not 50 but they’ve been able to achieve recognizable economic developments even in such a short time than Nigeria. Nigeria certainly posses a whole lot than any other African country but if we don’t work in that realization, we might really not attain that height we all desire to see.

THE ORPHAN (EPISODE 2)
Immediately after Mrs Ireti’s class, the bell rang for break time so all the students headed for the school cafeteria. Bayo had no friends at this point so he ate alone on his table in the cafeteria. He had been doing that for a month now. So he sat on his seat with a sausage roll and a Pepsi drink on his table ready to eat lunch. As usual, he would eat alone. Suddenly, a girl walked towards Bayo’s table holding her lunch in her hands. It was Bisi, a girl in his class he always admired from afar. Bisi was the most beautiful girl in his class so all the boys wanted to be friends with her.

So Bisi sat down with Bayo and placed her lunch on the table just opposite Bayo’s. (In Bayo’s thoughts) ‘Oh my God this couldn’t be happening’ and then Bisi said ‘Hi Bayo’ he replied (stammering and stuttering) ‘Huh…Hi…Bi…si. He was shocked that the most beautiful girl in his class was right in front of him. ‘You did great in class today. I like guys who are smart and you showed that today.’ (smiling uncontrollably at Bayo). At this point, Bayo was even further confused on what to say to Bisi as the only thing he kept seeing was those nerve wrecking beautiful smiles she was wearing. He was totally not coordinated.

(Bayo gazing for 10 seconds without a word) Bisi then tapped Bayo on his arm wondering why a guy would be so unsettled. Nairaland / General / The Important Things Of Life by dannyodia101(m): 2:20pm On Apr 22, 2015
Life’s experiences are like re-constructions. They shake you,
break you, mode you, shape you and gives you a new look that
makes a new you. The question is wouldn’t I rather go through
that and become better? Think about it. Now if you never tasted
hot food perhaps you wouldn’t know how hot a fire is. If I never
got angry perhaps I wouldn’t have known sadness exist. If I
never got injured perhaps I wouldn’t have known what blood
looks like or what it is to feel pain. If I had never fell in love
perhaps I wouldn’t have known how beautiful love is. If I had
never fallen maybe I wouldn’t have known what it feels like to
rise again. When you were a kid, all you knew was that food
always came to your table but now as an adult you know why
and how to get food to your table. It means you know better
now. Perhaps if I never left Lagos I wouldn’t have known Texas
was better. The truth is if I never went through those things I
wouldn’t appreciate what I have now... www.dannyworldng./2015/22/04/We-Never-See-It/ check out the remaining parts of this amazing write up. Find out how we see the little but important things of life on www.dannyworldng. today. #WeNeVErSeEiT this and a lot more.

wants to be successful and what society defines as success is
wealth, fame and fortune. Everyone talks about being successful
but not many of us talk about having ‘Good Success’ because
the image of success painted by society has overshadowed our
thoughts. What is success? Success is achieving results and
being recognized for those results achieved. Success is having
results in intended aims. Now to the society, popularity and

affected? You might be wealthy and famous and people know
you but how many people really feel you? Good success brings
the importance of always giving back. This why the
philanthropist will always excel cause people are affected by
what he possesses and through that little gesture, he becomes a
hero to many. Success says ‘that man was well-known’ but good
success says ‘that man changed my life’ the question is what do

Nairaland / General / Appreciating Good Times by dannyodia101(m): 12:16pm On Feb 13, 2015
Appreciation is the key to multiplication I always say and until people begin to realize the importance of appreciation then we’ll keep standing on one spot. Most times, we tend to dwell more on the bad times than on the good times which shouldn’t be the case. The good times are those moments in our lives that makes us smile that brings us happiness those moments spent with the people you love. It could be with family or friends, colleagues or perhaps with your partner. The fact that you are alive to experience such blissful moments is a privilege one which you should be grateful to God about. Those moments may seem little or insignificant but those are the moments that really count in our lives and those are the moments you always want to relish. Bad times brings us only sad memories but those are the moments we seem to remember a lot as painful as it may seem. We easily forget the happy times and allow the bad times cloud our thoughts. Bad times hurt understandably so, but would you keep dwelling on pain rather than smiling in joy? Yeah I didn’t think so. Sometimes life doesn’t turn out the way we plan but the little we have should our greatest motivation. I would say if you want to appreciate learn to appreciate.... www.dannyworldng. visit today the remaining parts of this write up. Nairaland / General / Would You Go Nude For Charity? by dannyodia101(m): 9:46am On Feb 11, 2015
A good day to everyone and you’re welcome to Danny world. Today on hot topic, we’re gonna be looking at a very sensitive topic. Now helping people is a great thing cause then you’re seen as a hero but at what cost? So many people want to play the philanthropist all the time which is a good gesture but how far are they really willing to go to help these people becomes the big question today. In this case, the society forms the basis of your actions as someone who wants to help. Societal values are key especially in Africa but does societal values really matter when the lives are at stake? Oh well… The streets and orphanage homes are filled with kids who struggle to eat a meal a day or even have a comfortable place to lay their heads unlike you whose bed is cozy and even give your meals to dogs. Let’s suppose you want to help these kids and the only way you could raise sufficient funds is to go nude for charity. Would you do it and why? Would you consider what the society will say or consider the welfare of those helpless little kids? Would you go nude just for charity? That’s the topic for today and we wanna hear your thoughts on this one. What do you think? It’s a case of dignity against goodwill. Share your thoughts today on www.dannyworldng. just click on the link www.dannyworldng./would-you-go-nude-for-charity?/
Nairaland / General / Would You Date Someone Who Is 12 Years Older? by dannyodia101(m): 8:52pm On Feb 04, 2015
Some say age is just a number and it has nothing to do with a relationship. For some, age matters a lot in a relationship so there is a balance in reasoning. Most guys find it difficult to give in to relationships where the lady is older perhaps a year or two but some eventually find a way around it. For the ladies, dating a guy who is older seem to be the ideal thing but where the age range exceeds 5-6years then questions are raised. Now picture, you meet a beautiful girl perhaps in a bar you walk to her and you guys started talking and in your mind nothing could go wrong. You're attracted to her in ways you can't explain and then she says 'I'm 32 and I want a serious relationship' and you're like 20. Does the attraction change at that point Today on hot topic, we wanna find out if you would date someone who is 12 years older than you are? Do you think age is a big deal in relationships? Tell us what you think today on www.dannyworldng. just a click away. You're welcome to Danny world let's talk.
Politics / Should Nigeria Adopt A Two Party System? by dannyodia101(m): 1:32pm On Feb 02, 2015
Today on hot topic, we'll be sharing our suggestions on whether Nigeria should adopt a two party system or not? Now the reason why I brought up this debatable topic was because of the recent happenings in the country. For sometime now, we've had just two parties running the show in the Nigerian political sector. Nigeria operates a multi-party system whereby we have over 50 political parties in the country yet just two of all these parties run the game. The two parties occupy virtually all the political offices even down to the local government in Nigeria. To be a strong contender at any level, you must belong to either the PDP or the APC. With the elections around the corner, so many candidates from other parties have moved to either the PDP or APC just to gain grounds at the polls. Now my question is, why have over 50 parties and just 2 are functional? Do you think other parties should merge up with these two parties and just let two candidates go head-to-head? Or perhaps you have a different opinion to all of that. Share your thoughts right here on Danny world the show that brings you the total package. What do you think? You could drop your thoughts on www.dannyworldng. today.
Nairaland / General / How To Conquer Life's Tantrums by dannyodia101(m): 1:20pm On Feb 02, 2015
Life is really not about those things that makes us fall but those things that keeps us standing. Life is not about those moments that brings sadness but those moments that makes us happy. Life is really not about those moments you fail to seize the day but about those moments that really counts. Life may be tough but you're tough enough to go through life's rough turf and come out victorious. Life may never really hand you everything in a platter of gold but you also don't get to hand everything in a platter of gold to life and you know how you do that? By not giving life the chance to bring you down then you make things difficult for life too. Someone once said that 'Life is fair because it's unfair to everyone' life could be unfair but how well are you willing to turn the tables around in your favour? It may not be all rosy now but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The question is are you willing to get to that light? Sometimes you get so frustrated you don't even think anything it's gonna work out for you like the whole world is crashing down on you and you feel you can't pick up yourself. Look up to the heavens and pray for his strength cause he's always close to us and will comfort us when we are broken hearted. Trust me when I say this, he can't fail and as far as he can't fail you can't fail in life. We were created to be above the trials of life and so if you let life trials rule over you then it means you don't know your rights. When there is life there is hope and that hope is what keeps us going. The question is how much of that hope are you willing to hold on to? They are only tantrums to shake you not to destroy you. This is Danny world... www.dannyworldng. log on today for exciting write ups.
