Comparing Prime Roy Keane to a 21 year old player who has gone through relegation twice with Soton and West Ham and is probably on a hat trick of relegations with Spurs is amusing.
United have been taken to the cleaners from big money transfers for mediocre players several times since Sir Alex retired. Names like Memphis Depay,Martial,Lukaku, Pogba(twice),Jadon Sancho,Angel di Maria,Antony,Fred,Bastian Schweinsteiger,Henrikh Mikhitaryan,Eric Bailly and Alexis Sanchez have been signed for big money fees and in the end had no interest of the club at heart. They were flops and virtually felt like the club was taken as donkeys by agents and the players. They were only after money and could care less about the club history or culture.
United were ready to match the £85 million for Mateus Fernandes but insisted on a staggered payment which was rejected by the players representatives and the selling club West Ham. So in the end it was obvious that the player was after immediate monetary advantage.
United have probably dodged a bullet here but we should know better by the end of the new season.
I am absolutely confident that United management have other irons in the fire but are very much in their rights to refuse to be drawn into another mindless and silly transfer war. If they have their targets and have a way they are ready to carry out their transfer business,then they are entitled to do things their own way. The end result which is to win trophies is the means.

The real fans of Manchester United are the fans that opposed Ruben Amorim and the chasm and dangerous Valley of disaster he was leading the club to. The flip floppers will have you believe that Cunha,Dorgu,Sesko,Lammens and Mbuemo were Amorim's signings,when in actual sense he was opposed to the signing of these players and these players were only signed because INEOS put their feet down and over ruled the fraud.

There is no way to sugar coat it. Ruben Amorim was an absolute disaster of a coach and you only need to cast a glance across to the East Midlands of the UK to see what would have been the end result if he has been allowed to continue being in charge. In 2016 Lecister City were Premier league champions. In fact in 2021 Leicester City won the FA Cup by defeating Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley stadium. ON APRIL 21ST 2026 LEICESTER CITY WERE RELEGATED FROM THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND INTO THE THIRD TIER OF ENGLISH FOOTBALL!

That is how fast things can go horribly wrong under the wrong management! 2016 champions of England and 10 years later they are in League one. Who knows where they will stop,because once you crash through the relegation trap door if the club is not careful the only way to go is DOWN!!!
