"Device Name: Solar panels Function: To collect and store the free energy from the sun to generate electricity" Failure on the part of successive government to provide minimum power requirements for its citizenry has caused us to loose unimaginable resources both financially and of course, intellectually. However, we cannot continue to wait and engage in blame game as to why we can't provide electricity for our households and business organizations. Wise individuals, communities and institutions have taken the bull by the horn by being their own generating stations. We all do this but in different ways. Generators are the most common power generating equipment, apart from its daily consumables - fuel, oil etc, the environmental effects such as noise and air pollution, which contribute to the depletion of the ozone are quite devastating. Alas, there is an alternative power generation, the solar power which God has freely given unto mankind, devoid of the aforementioned pollutions and daily consumptions. Recently, an energy consultant on television said that majority of the residents of a particular popular estate in of Lagos, which I won't want to mention has virtually replaced all their roofs with solar panels to generate power. A common question that pops up when solar is being discussed is "its expensive". I will agree and again disagree. Agreeing in the sense that the initial cost of installing the solar power systems might be a little on the high but this headache can be solved by carrying out the installation in phases; and I disagree because the cost of solar panels and inverters has gone down considerably, its not what it used to be. Finally, the benefits far outweigh the cost and you also can imitate a friend whom after enjoying the free solar energy that you don't have to pay electricity bills, decided to disconnect his house from PHCN (old NEPA). Join the wise! At our outfit, The Leo6 Technologies Limited, we are evangelists of solar power adoption and we are here to solve your power problems. Contact us on 08035640336 or 08080699426.
