For a Skilled worker dependant visa application, where the principal applicant has been in the UK for years. However, the dependant is coming to the UK for the first time, although had 1 visit visa refusal. The maintenance requirements for the dependant is £285 saved for at least 28 days; is it advisable to use Piggyvest savings account with the said sum?

Or is it better to withdraw from the piggy piggyvest savings account and deposit in the conventional bank for the 28 days.

I have a question. I just got my CAS today, and I plan to apply for my visa tomorrow. I’m going for an MRes program, and I already indicated on my CAS that I’ll be going with my spouse as my dependent.

However, I’m getting advice from friends and an agent that I should apply for my visa alone first, and then my dependent should apply later after I get mine.

Is this the best path to take, or should we just apply for both visas at the same time?

Yes it is possible, although expected progression is PhD but in some cases you may want to acquire more research skill before progressing for a PhD. This is great if your MSc grades are average or below.

I am not sure if they have granted anyone from March 17th till date except for priority.

Any visa alert last week & this week?

I've done my Biometrics 8days ago (27th March) and I got a mail that very day that my application will now be sent to UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) for consideration. I haven't heard anything since that day again.

Those who applied two and three weeks ago got very fast response to the best of my knowledge.

Let's be hopeful there won't be NSF, then next week will be the final week.
