Sorry that's a staright flight to Heathrow then drive or get a train to Manchester

jelmusboy:
After exactly 30 days of submission of Tier 4 dependant visa, my wife got her visa today.
Vignette expires on 30th December 2016.
Thought the Vignette will stay till around mid-January cos ticket is expensive now.
Any idea of where I can get cheap tickets to Manchester

My parents are coming over so got a few mouths to feed already.

Check skyscanner.com

Your best bet would be Kenya airwauys £495

You are in our prayers @Abbylove.

I noticed that they did not call you guys for an interview. Did they?

@the group I have always been under the impression that if they don't call or get in contact then that means that they are sufficiently happy with the application. What are your thoughts?

We are on working day 34 since biometrics. Christmas is going to suck

Abbylove:
Fingers crossed.
I decided to track my application using their enquiry form.
Got a response saying decision has been made... (the usual automated message)
Now patiently waiting for Sheffield & TLS' s mails

He might answer there.

I'll add my two pence though. If she has a child then the goal posts have been moved by yourselves. I think it's now £22,000 that she needs to meet. Goodluck though and read as much of the other group chat as it really helped me.

Thank you so much KemBee86. Really does help calm the nerves. We had a lot of pictures, call logs with Vonage and whatsapp conversations.

Just trying to get through the weeks, always looking forward to Fridays for the fact that one full week is out of the way.

KemBee86:
Don't be scared, I submitted just about 6 months communication details (just viber and bbm, we didn't even submit phone calls) too and some pictures we took dt same year( but loads of wedding pictures about 40) cos I and my spouse only dated for 8 months before we got married and applied and I got my visa.

@deept
Thank you very much.

I had a look at the link and there are not a lot on there and not much from the last few months.

@Lexusgs430
Thank you very much.

We are praying. Our case is different. I will keep my comments about the lawyer to myself for now.

@MreSBee
You applied June 23rd and no news, if I was in your shoes I would be contacting them. If there is one thing I have noticed from this group, the cases where they don’t contact then it’s people that contact them and stay on their backs that get answers. Call them.

@Benz101
My running mate. Thank you for your timeline. Go to the tls website, track your application to see if Received by UKVI has a green ticked box next to it. If not call them too

I can’t believe I am by my phone 24/7 hoping for a phone call.

I wish all applicants success.

Hello squad,

I have been frantically reading through these pages for the last few days. It's crazy what you guys are doing here and commend the time and effort you put in even with the repetitive questions. I started reading from 2014 if I am being honest and gained so much through the pages.

Cliché thing to say but I wish I found this page earlier.

Origin story...

March 2013 I'm British and met my African Queen in NYSC camp Oyo state.
We started dating a few months after
Sept 2014 Unofficially proposed (without ring)
Sept 2014 Returned to the UK
April 2016 Officially proposed (with ring)
April 2016 Registry wedding in Nigeria
Oct 2016 Applied for settlement visa (Non priority) with a lawyer
28 Oct Biometrics done in Ikeja
1 Nov 2016 Email from UKIV application has been received in Sheffield
Waiting game now…

Just got back from Nigeria for traditional and church wedding. The guy at biometrics told my wife 2 weeks. We were so excited until we realised he was wrong. I think he thought it was visiting visa.

Our application is pretty straight forward but my only fear is lack of communication and pictures through changing phones and the fact that we had no idea that we would actually need all this information. We have a lot of communication from 2016 but little from 2013 onwards but lawyer put that in cover letter.

Other than that I don’t have any questions but just want an outlet to vent my frustration and angst. I can cope with the waiting to an extent but thinking of my wife there is what makes it worse.

Will keep reading and updating.

Please can anyone that did the visa in the last few months put their timelines on as there is a lack of timelines in the group to encourage us.
