Please kindly shed more light on this, cos I'm currently having issues with some tenants sharing a prepaid meter (3 flats sharing a meter, constant bickering on who is consuming more electricity)

The unit PHCN sells power is called the KWH just like the unit of petrol is LITERS. so 1 unit of petrol is 1 liter which sells for now at 165naira, for PHCN is around 50naira per KWH.

Instead of sharing random amount the meter measures your actual usage SAVING YOU MONEY ON THE LONG RUN. For the times you are not home you would not bother about power usage because your meter will not be counting.

For building with one PREPAID METER with 6 flats apartment each apartment will have its kwh meter.
A KWH meter can also be connected to the house pumping machine to share the usage equally among tenants.
