atheistandproud: Lol
He uses three apps to edit. Lol. LOL! 3 actually - but 90% of the job here was done with one app. 75% of the time, I edit with only one app - Lightroom. I use Snapseed for finishing touches most of the time. |
Phones › Re: The Gallery (Mobile Photography/Art) by Darevid(m): 1:39am On Mar 29, 2020 |
atheistandproud: Unfortunately no.
1. Tecno Spark 3 Camera2api is not enabled
2. Tecno Spark 3 is an Android Go device (android lite) and cannot run GCam.
3. Tecno Spark 3 runs on Helio A22 entry level chipset with 1GB of RAM. To put this into perspective, My Snapdragon 660 that runs at 2.2GHz with 4GB of RAM lags when processing GCam HDR photos.
If by some chance GCAM is installed on your phone, it'll crash the device.
So sir, you can use your phone to take awesome pics. Just up your skills. LMAO! True. However, he can use other 3rd party camera apps that will give him more controls and flexibility. Example: Camera FV-5 Manual Camera Open Camera And others on PlayStore. |

You're right bro Right |
Phones › Re: The Gallery (Mobile Photography/Art) by Darevid(m): 1:34am On Mar 29, 2020 |
atheistandproud: It's not the "handwork of Tecno". It's the handwork of Darevid. There's this mindset people have when they see a photo and they praise the phone. It's bad.
I've seen people with S9 and iPhoneX that take pictures that look like they were shot from an Itel device.
Repeat after me: It's the man behind the camera, not the camera itself.
Check, he left the originals on the same page. Compare and contrast. Honestly, most of my shots (with my phone) wouldn't be nice if not cossa editing. |

ityP: Bro, abeg guide on how you edited these pics Do you use Adobe Lightroom? It makes editing easy - especially when you wanna play with colours. |
Phones › Re: The Gallery (Mobile Photography/Art) by Darevid(m): 1:30am On Mar 29, 2020 |
StephenBB: See the handwork of Tecno But people still make mokery of it.
Is it only Snapseed you use to edit?
Wonderful pics bro I used Lightroom to do everything. Just used AirBrush to beautify the face - and Snapseed to add selective grains and improve details again |

atheistandproud: Editing
There are some purists who feel that photos should not be edited and that the output of one's photos should be dependent on the capability of their camera.
I personally believe (and this is my opinion) that this is like telling a lady not to use make-up. It's restrictive and it smacks of elitism of the worst sort.
There are also others who do not know the purpose of editing and believe that that it's a magic wand for fixing bad photography. Such individuals get frustrated and skip from one editing app to another. It's always something else's fault, either the camera or the editing app. As good as GCam, people still complain about it.
I would like to say that a bad driver is a bad driver. Even if you were to buy them a Lamborghini Diablo, they will still drive poorly. A bad photographer is a bad photographer, even with a Huawei P40, they'll still do badly. The editing in the world won't fix a bad photo. It won't automatically turn you into a master photographer. That's not what this is about.
For me, photography is about letting others see the world through your eyes. Over time, you train your mind and your eyes to see beauty and you teach yourself (and others) how best to use the equipment at your disposal to capture such beauty. That's what this is about.
The editing is only the tip. To enhance your photo and push it's limits. Over editing won't save your photos. It's only an enhancer, like make up on a beautiful lady.
I know some of us who get on this page for the first time, see people doing stuff and want to get in right away and I admire the spirit but there are steps that I'll recommend.
1. Learn the equipment at your disposal
2. Learn to take good pictures
3. Learn to edit
Life is a sequence, you can never go wrong by learning from the easy-intermediate-advanced process.
And for those of us who edit, let your edits show us what you want us to see, what effect you're going for etc. A poor edit can ruin a good picture.
Good morning all. Very well said. You take beer? Waiter give him 2 bottles of cold beer! |

CornOak: That's a clear example of good editing. LOL! But yes, you're right. My phone's camera alone cannot produce that I won't lie. |
Phones › Re: The Gallery (Mobile Photography/Art) by Darevid(m): 5:48pm On Mar 23, 2020 |
Mark9854: you just made it clear that most times its not the camera but the photographer that determines how good a photo is... kudos LOL! Thank you. |

StephenBB: How do you make your pics dark, as in...not that bright but maintain it's sharpness
Like the 1st and 2nd pics? Whites and Highlights adjustments, Luminance Tone Curve adjustments, Colour Luminance in Lightroom And maybe any other thing. |

atheistandproud: Sir,
He asked for a tutorial. Not your handle. I think you're very capable of giving him a tutorial. Yes, but it'll be super hard giving an effective tutorial here. |
