Musty112:
Wow! This is your first time? If you bought the chicks for a known outlet, reach out to them oo. The difference in price between Cockrell and Broiler is huge, especially when you consider the number of birds involved.

I the handler of this account was misinformed.
The farm is right on track
It's a 6month cockerel cycle against November/December.

Musty112:
I wanted to say this is the first time that I am seeing broilers with other colours to their white colour. I have heard about it but I haven't seen it

they are not broilers
I was misinformed.

TopdamAgrovet01:
These are Cockerels and not broilers if I am not mistaken

Yes you are absolutely right

Pardon my error

FavouriteOfGod:
Why is yours 12 weeks where we have Broilers turn around from day hold to maturity within 6 weeks everywhere? In fact this is reducing by 1 day every year with the rate of modern research results.

My bad.
You are absolutely correct
These are cockerels and we are aiming for a 24 week Cycle. To make them thick and Christmas Worthy

Good morning Please Note

This will be a 24 week Cycle not a 12 week Cycle As the thread title says
24 Weeks is better for Christmas Chicken Standard which is BULKY and STRONG bones
