Politics › Re: Chinese Businesswoman Angry About The Closure Of Onitsha Main Market by DarkJeddi(m): 7:49pm On Jan 30 |
noony926: The Monday sit -at-home were forced down to people. A number of people have been killed at the initial stage, that's brought markekers to start observing the sit@home. A governor can not just come up and directed people to resume business activities without any security measures put in place. Both Onitsha and Asaba will still strife hand in hand... Onitsha will still remains business hub of the east, Asaba can as well come on on it own, but can not compete with Onitsha. Whoever claimed that no security measures has been in place in Anambra is lying to himself. Anambra State TODAY is the safest it has ever been for the past 5 years of IPOB insanity. During December people came home in droves to villages and towns which were no go areas before now and nothing happened. Stopping the sit at home non sense is the next logical chapter in the Government's fight against insecurity. |

kettykin: Asaba is building an International Market , if the disruption continues in Onitsha , smart traders will move to Asaba, people come from Agbor , Benin, Owerri, PH , Aba , Uyo , Enugu, Abuja Lagos , i have seen People from Ondo and Ibadan coming to Onitsha for business , if these continues they will shift base to Asaba, Asaba does not do Sit at home and will not allow it . The Governor can stop it without shutting down the Market for a week.
Already our real estate developers are already in Asaba building the Next generation real estates , Thanks to the hostility from other cities.
This shutdown is a real time bomb The Governor has tried SEVERALLY to stop the sit at home without shutting down the market. So,go right ahead and suggest how he's going to achieve it without the current measures. |

Politics › Re: Onitsha Main Market Closure: Traders Chant Anti-Soludo Slogan (Video) by DarkJeddi(m): 7:02pm On Jan 27 |
Svoboda: Soludo wont have been bold enough to close the market before the gov election without facing some repercussions. He also has to understand that such matters need to be addressed delicately. No trader would deliberately want to stay at home and not run his shop any day, except Sundays. That said, Mondays are now conventionally seen as the last day of the weekend. No fault of the traders. The govt allowed the sit at home vacuum to stretch longer than it should. Apart from Awka and its environs, most parts of the state are largely inactive on Mondays. This is due to fear of insecurity as well as the convention that Mondays are now meant for village and family meetings, rather than the first working day of the week, and not necessarily as support for Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob. The same people chanting solidarity songs in support of IPOB and sit at home? The time for the use of kid gloves is over the only language some people appreciate us force. Six years and counting of the nonsense and you still think delicate measures are needed? Whatever it takes to cure this madness is appropriate . |

MEGAWATCH: You are just being stupid in your responses.
Democracy is a government of agitation and engagement, when people raises an issue that bothers them, the right thinking government handles it by engaging the people before it gets out of control.
Your government doesn't like to address sensitive national issues,
Your government thinks that the only way to handle the imbalance in the system is through intimidating their citizens just like the military.
Look at how many people who were killed for government to stop the useless activities of that Criminal Police department called SARS.
Funny enough, most of you brainless people in Nigeria continue supporting everything like fools even when many of you are victims.
What a RAT RACE DYSFUNCTIONAL SOCIETY CALLED NIGERIA.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oga blowing big grammar is not tantamount to getting sense.. You were asked a series of questions and instead of addressing it you are blowing more grammar. After you done blow grammar finish go and sleep. |

GanagiBitrus: Well, unless she is a minor, she is responsible for her decisions & actions and she will have a hard time proving to a court of law that she was "forced into marriage" to warrant committing murder. Whilst it's not enough reason to warrant murder,it is what it is. Two lives wasted because someone thinks it's okay to force another adult into a life of pain and anguish. The world has generally moved on from such archaic practices and this is a prime example of why such should not be encouraged. |
