(1) When governors received what can do a lot more than what they receive now, what did they do with the funds? What investments were made in education to enable me return to school to think like you?

(2) Do you realize insecurity played a crucial role to contributing to food inflation? Are you aware that Boko Haram became a behemoth in 2009? Are you aware of the historical farmers-herders crisis? Are you aware that by borrowing money to pay for subsidies and subsidizing dollars for the rich dug a hole in our finances?

(3) Are you aware that we were sitting on a ticking time bomb with useless leaders? Are you aware that in 2014, a finance minister wanted to set money aside and these same governors fought and shared the money? Can you explain what they did with the money?

(4) Are you aware that Buhari released excess crude funds to oil-producing states, including Delta? Are you aware they never told us, until Wike exposed them? Until today, no one person has asked those governors what they spent the money on.

(5) Are you remotely aware that state governors have the wherewithal to generate their own funds? Let them come out and tell us what they generate to augment the pittance you claim they receive from FG.

Nice move but this is not the problem at all. If Transportation cost is reduced, price of things will drop very low. Our economy is centered around petroleum and not tax of any kind on products. Secondly, if we're not producing anything and keep importing everything, even if you remove all taxes, they will be controlled by external market forces. This tax thing can only reduce price of things only for like a week or two because import purchase will rise, which will further devalue our currency causing the price of those goods to rise even above the current price with tax.

Now, this may sound odd but there needs to be a state of emergency on petroleum supply, for now that we have at least one working refinery, we need fuel subsidy back to bring down the price of fuel to at most N100 per litre because shipping logistic costs will be excluded this time. Such move alone would bring down cost of products with or without tax on products.

Politicians knows exactly what to do but are diverting our attention.
