All these responses are making me laugh. Someone said the car might be stolen, another said i am a scammer. You all can be really funny. So if i stole a car and want to sell it i'll come to NL with my personal line which can be traced. Also me not putting my car pictures doesn't make my offer invalid. You've succeeded in presenting your item like a fraudster with confidence. Why not post pictures here if you're sure it's your car you want to sell. Post the pictures and state your price!..you said you don't want third party but you are seeking for personal contact.

So me requesting people reach out to me on my personal line makes me a fraudster with confidence? Well, it's your view and i cant change that but don't come on here and spew nonsense if you are not interested. I owe you no pictures except you are serious. I only want to deal with people who wants to use my car personally and not someone who will resell. It's my choice do well to respect that.

Which is why you should pay something acceptable. If dem seize your car these days, na wahala. Trouble no good. If you can afford a 2013 RX, you should be able to afford the duty. Give to Ceasar.

So what is something acceptable? Since they are all compromised duty, isn't it all the same thing?

Hello house, in the light of the recent increase of custom duty charges, what is your opinion on surface duty for a 2013 lexus rx 350. Would you say surface duty below 1m is advisable? Also seeing that all duties are compromised duty wouldn't paying 800k and above 1m the same? Aren't you just dashing the crooks money if you pay an excessively high surface duty because customs on the road will still say it is underpayment even if you pay 1.2m as surface duty?

I have been talking to several clearing agents and same thing they all say, if you are not paying full duty, you are paying compromised duty. I been being charged from 1.6m to 1.9m to clear my lexus rx350 2013 in the light of this new changes. I am wondering why would there be such difference seeing it is the same car? I genuinely need your input guys.

I would advise you erase from your mind paying #950k to any agent to clear the vehicle or you will end up paying double.

Importantly also, quickly get an agent so the vehicle can be secured from wharf-rats (I don't wish for my enemy to have rx350 vandalised , which is more rampant with Sallaum line)

2013 model should be nothing less than #1m should be paid to Govt coffers (i.e surface duty, surcharge, etls & vat) to forestall 'alert' and for relative peace of mind on the road.

Adding other charges & 'payments' should come to about #1.4m (if you are lucky).

PS: I am not an agent, just my opinion based on experience importing vehicles.

For two years+ I have not done any major repair on my lexus2010 RX350,just normal maintance (change of engine/transmission fluid and break pads)

I think the v6 edition of the highlander and lexus rx are practically the same and will cost almost same amount to maintain.


Lexus Rx350 gives you the opportunity of upgrading the front/back look to a more recent year and sporty.

The toyota Highlander have more trunk space and suitable for a large family(7 seater).

Both vehicles are very reliable.
