olanshile2016:Truth chokes you so much I see. I didn't mean to offend you, I just came with a banner of truth. But I see it crawled up in your skin and ate your nerves. Sorry. |
greg42:Could I request you cease shadowing me? I can't seem to remember she appointing you as her Bannerman! You keep jumping into my stratosphere as if I'm your gravity. |
Ogodlovely1:I will rather write you the thoughts of my heart. And "the ring encircling the 4th finger" has taken various import nowadays. |
greg42:I am aware but her beauty left me numb of reason and deprived of manners. My apologies, but I'm a pushover for beauty and intelligence-- a scarce virtue these days. |
Ogodlovely1:Your skin is of a brown chocolate radiance. And you're well-fleshed in a bedazzling feminine formation. Perhaps you're new here? I can't seem to think why I have missed your presence until this morning. |
joseph1832:One could actually write about a dumb subject in an interesting manner and beautiful diction. It's the style before the story for me. |
Ogodlovely1:Have a nice week yourself...ehm, permit me the leisure to exercise this itching curiosity, please. Are you she whom your DP portrays? |
joseph1832:It is like I mentioned to you sometime ago, when reading up a story full of suspense and intrigues, one may get carried away by the storyline and plot without doing a critical appraisal of the writing style. It's natural. I remember reading mynd44's thread recently about girls behaving like fishes. Story was enthralling but writeup was just shyly nudging the mediocre mark! |
greg42:Everyone does. Usage varies. |
joseph1832:I never visit literature section beyond a cursory glance. Most folks there take too weeks or more to write a bastardised version of the works of other mainstream writers and do clever plagiarism with good storyline. It's always shocking to find same people commenting on other sections when spontaneity is required with less than average writing skills. |
olanshile2016:And OP, next time, entitle your thread by adding "My Subjective Opinion" . You're in no position to announce who Nairaland best writers are. Your impudence and arrogance is a bit more startling than your taste for good literature. |
ironkurtain:Factual nonetheless. |
Mynd44:Who ever added you on that list is plainly buttlicking. You're a tad below an average writer. My honest and sincere opinion. And agian I observed like the OP , most of the nominees are from literature section which is peopled by unoriginal copycats slogging to be like Achebe. Their works are like an assignment taken home and aided by the works of professional writers and phraseologists, they churn it out on the pages of NL for false recognition. Most haven't proven their penmanship mettle in other section(s) |
TERAZA:You must be a school dropout! I was thinking punctuation deficiency is your only problem. Since when do DFI translates to ownership? Last I checked, they benefit the home country more and only the capitalists of South Africa gets the other profit. Why do you think Patrice Mutsepe is the only black billionaire in Zulu land? ![]() Beclouded idiot. Nigeria on the other hand has left your children fatherless, your sisters as dagga-sniffing, cocaine -inhaling hoes! Your community is laden with youths running out of school and attracted to quick money as they ape their Nigerian models. Your women now see you as gameless, boring and lazy. ![]() |
TERAZA:The pics are violence on South Africans by South Africans. |
TERAZA:Look at the petty lying bastard. Your mother is a drug courier for Nigerian pimps and drug lord. She's getting high at 70 while your sisters are used to service high profile clients as bonus. Your women have formed a Facebook association protecting south African women married to Nigerian men from your jobless , unemployable layabouts. Tailless baboon! ![]() |

All the same, we have good story tellers than good writers in Nairaland.
