1. Why do older yoruba people insist on being called Mummy and Daddy? This is a difficult concept to understand for westernised kids since they believe that they only have one mum and one dad. For example e.g “ekasan Mr Ogunjobi” will be seen as disrespectful instead they prefer ekasan daddy?

2. Do we have to prefix an older male's name with “broda” or “uncle” ? And an older but a female's name with “auntie” or “sista” ? So what dose one actually call one's aunty and uncle? I have even seen some people calling their aunty, mummy?

3. We have to use the “eh” term for older people, and call them “broda”, “”auntie” and so on. What age difference dose this apply to for example do we use “eh” for someone 1 year+ older? 2 years+ older? 3 years+ older? etc Or is it personal?

4. Greeting, who do we bow down to or kneel down for and by how much? Would you get offended if your friends children greeted you with a handshake or a polite hi?
