Firstly, Unilorin wasn't transparent as as of last year screening calculation. But based on Unilag screening calculation, your aggregate score is 73%. And most schools aggregate score for medicine stars from 75%, I would advice you to change your course.
I too am having difficulty in DOB correction. Chukwukapromise told me it can be done in a cbt centre.

candidates that applied for admission
into the university, only about 11 per
cent would be admitted. He explained that the university could

UTME, being conducted by the Joint
Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Ambali spoke during the 40th
anniversary of UNILORIN Department of
History and International Studies, in
Ilorin, the Kwara State capital on
Thursday. According to him, “UNILORIN remained
the most applied university in Nigeria by
admission seekers for the consecutive
fourth time”. The VC pleaded with the 93,000
applicants who will not be offered
admission and their parents and
guardians to show understanding with
the university over the development.

the first que is are you from Ilorin or kwara? if no then r u from any of d catchment areas?. my cousin applied with a score of 268 and 78% in post utme yet he neva got medicine... i also heard a lot of high scores in utme abd p.utme dat neva got mbbs. i only feel if my cousin was from ilorin or its catchments, maybe he would have gotten in with dah high score...


if you have LONG LEGS then good but if you dont have, dont get scared. prepare intensively for d post utme and involve God as no1 factor and you will be smiling... i hope this help? other medicos contributions will go a long way.

GUYS PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE I SCORED 249 IN JAMB, IS IT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MEDICINE AND SURGERY IN UNILORIN.

Give the guy a good advice Donpre, Telling him to choose Unilag or OAU is adding salt to his injury.. Let's be serious here, Unilag medicine no be wasa oo, let me succinctly explain this.. Unilag divides your jamb score by 8(that's over 50) and your postjamb which is over 100 by 2(that's over 50 also).. This mean, the guy who scored 249 has 31.13% already and he really need to gun for NOT 80/100 BUT 85 or 90/100, which after when divided by 2 will sum his aggregate up to /more than 74%. I'm not saying the medicine cutoff is 74% but in the past five years, the medicine cutoff has been between 73%-77%. And not that the cutoff is static but its depends on students performance (so many of them get 80%+). To be on a safer side, he should aim 85-90 in postjamb irrespective of the school he opted for, Even catchment score will likely to disapoint him, for there will be so many teenage guru from his state. Preference will be given to him tho, IF ONLY IF HE IS FROM A LESS PRIVILEGE STATE and No one beats his score.. I'm not discouraging him, just that I'm very blunt with the unconcealed truth..

249 is kinda low for unilorin, that skul na die... If you feel you can make it, put in for unilag, UI or OAU. Your chances re better there since they have a lesser number of aspirants compared to unilorin buh are still as popular(or good like jlake_side would say)

Buh then, you could make it into unilorin with 249, you just have to over bag the putme, like 80-90% of the questions. So the choice is yours.

About scoring high in the PUTME, I think you should get past questions, that helps a lot. You can visit the unilorin thread and rub minds with fellow aspirants
