HOURS after some groups of militant threatened to resume hostilities in the Niger Delta region, some suspected militants on Monday attacked an army formation at Opuama community of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State leaving one of the soldiers critically injured.
The incident it was gathered occurred at the Opuma Zion junction along the Omojo creek of the area and has sent tension down the spines of locals in the area over fears that the military would invade their community in a manhunt for the suspected militant.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state has
suffered a massive loss as no fewer than 2000 of its
members defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
on Monday, December 19.
The defectors were led by former APC stalwarts, Hon.
Demenongu Unom and Laha Dzever, Daily Post reports.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors who decided to join the
PDP in Vandekiya LGA of the state, Unom said Governor
Samuel Ortom’s regime had brought bad luck to the state.
He said they decided to dump their party for the PDP
because of Ortom’s failed leadership style.
The defectors were received by Sir Hon John Ngbede, the
PDP chairman in the state.
He welcomed them on board on behalf of the former
governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam.
According to him, the party was currently working hard to
settle their differences in order to capture power from the
APC in 2019.
Nigerian politicians are known for moving from one party to
another. A month ago, an APC chieftain, Dr Hakeem Baba-
Ahmed condemned those leaving the party.
He said instead of defecting, they should remain with APC
and help solve some of the problems they were currently
facing.

the Federal Government to place 30% tax levy on churches
or mosques that collect offerings, gifts, tithes and other
revenues from their members, instead of increasing
internet data tariffs.
He said this after the Nigerian Communications
Commission, NCC, directed telecommunication operators
to increase the price of data tariffs by December 1.
Although the NCC had on Wednesday announced the
suspension of its plan to increase the price of data, the
outspoken media personality, on his Instagram page
@daddyfreeze, wrote: “Dear Federal Government, this
regime cannot be all hardship.
“The suffering is too much!!! So far, it has been plagued by
loss of jobs, hike in foodstuff, loss of value of the Naira
against the Dollar, hike in petroleum products etc.
“Increasing the price of data will be seen by the masses as
grossly insensitive, as this remains our greatest source of
entertainment, information and education.
“Instead of this, why don’t you place a 30% tax levy on any
church or mosque that collects offering, gifts and tithe
and you will be amazed at how much revenue you will
realize,” he added.

The Chief Executive Officer of 360 Group, Noble Igwe, has
blamed forces from his village for the suspension of the
popular Ponzi scheme, Mavrodi Mondial Movement,
MMM.
Recall that reports filtered in this morning saying the
scheme has been temporarily suspended.But Igwe, who took to his twitter handle lamented that he
was due to receive his payment next week.
He wrote: “I have bought “Cash Wash” & was just waiting
for MMM to pay next week .
“I can’t put this beyond my village people.”

alleged crash of the Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox,

MC Galaxy said he lost N25million to the Ponzi scheme.
Recall that promoters and participants of MMM in Nigeria
on Tuesday woke up to panic as the ponzi scheme was
frozen and all confirmed accounts suspended. , although,
they have been called to calm, insisting the scheme had
not crashed.
On his Instagram page @mcgalaxymcg, the ‘Sekem’
crooner said his manager pushed him into the mess.
He wrote:
