Janelle Monáe will be performing a unique virtual reality concert to coincide with the season finale of the HBO series Lovecraft Country. The event, titled Music of the Cosmos, will air on October 19th at 10:00 p.m. ET following the finale of Lovecraft Country on October 18th on HBO. It marks the conclusion to Lovecraft Country: Sanctum, a promotional series of VR experiences designed for the Oculus Quest headset and centered around transporting viewers into the world of Lovecraft Country. Music of the Cosmos will feature an interactive virtual environment that can be manipulated by Monáe’s physical performance via her avatar. Ahead of her set, guests can participate in a preshow, hosted by Lovecraft Country‘s Michael Kenneth Williams, where artifacts from the show can be viewed in a virtual room known as the Reliquary. Guests can also interact with each other via the social VR platform VRChat. VR director Aline Ridolfi further explained in a press release: “Using techniques like projection mapping and dynamic, interactive set design, the concert will see Janelle control the space with her performance. All aspects of the environment from the choreography and set design, to the lighting, will interact in a way that wouldn’t be possible within a traditional concert set-up.” “I’m so excited to partner with HBO and the Mill to pioneer the future of concert experiences in Sanctum,” Monáe said in a release. “I always strive for innovation, and this project gives me the special opportunity to celebrate Lovecraft Country, a show I’m a huge fan of, and connect with fans in a completely new way using virtual reality. This is the perfect platform to explore the impact of music and movement in a new dimension designed to celebrate black art, stories, and voices.” “As long-standing fans we couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with Janelle Monáe on this uniquely immersive virtual reality concert experience,” HBO’s VP of program marketing Dana Flax added. “Through her art and her activism, Janelle embodies the spirit of innovation, justice and black joy that makes her the perfect artist to help us send off Lovecraft Country’s first season.” https://sites.google.com/view/bebe-rexha-baby-im-jealous-mp3 https://sites.google.com/view/blackpink-prettysavagemp3free https://sites.google.com/view/camilo-vidadericomp3free https://sites.google.com/view/el-chombo-dame-tu-cosita-mp3 https://sites.google.com/view/futurelifeisgoodmp3download |
Back taps seem to be the new cool thing in the mobile business, as everybody is currently working on bringing such functionality to their mobile devices. It all started with Google, as evidence of the search giant developing a feature that would allow users to launch certain apps by simply tapping devices on the back were discovered in early 2020. Google internally codenamed the feature Columbus, but no information as to when such functionality could go live on Android phones was available at that point. But of course, the next-generation Pixel is very likely to introduce it, especially as Apple is working on something similar for the iPhone too. iOS 14, the iPhone software update due in September, will allow users to tap on the back of the smartphone to launch apps, activate the torch, or wake up Siri, and the whole thing works even when a case is on. Xiaomi joining the party too And now according to a report from XDA, Xiaomi is working on a similar feature that would be part of the MIUI 12 update. Called simply Back Tap, the feature would allow users to take a screenshot, turn on the torch, launch the control center, or start the camera. The Back Tap feature will support multiple gestures, just like the iPhone, so these actions can be configured with double taps or triple taps. Just like in the case of Google, there’s no ETA as to when Xiaomi is supposed to enable this feature on its phones, but the good news is that they’re coming. And by the looks of things, it’s now just a matter of time until everybody, and I really mean everybody, starts tapping their phones on the back to do things, regardless of whether they’re using Android or an iPhone. https://pub.lucidpress.com/MLBB-diamond-generator-2020/ https://pub.lucidpress.com/b9ed69da-5378-4be7-9f33-d555d96d9616/ https://pub.lucidpress.com/Switch-eShop-code-generator-2020/ https://angel.co/company/mlbb-diamond-generator-2020 https://angel.co/company/royale-high-diamond-generator-2020 https://angel.co/company/switch-eshop-code-generator-2020 |
Mozilla is getting ready to ready to reboot its Android browser efforts with the debut of a new Firefox, with the company expected the replace the old version with its modern successor next month. More specifically, the current version of the browser on Android is Firefox 68, which was officially released in July 2019. Since then, the application has received a series of updates, but they brought nothing more than bug fixes and smaller improvements here and there. But at the same time, Mozilla has also been working on a new Firefox version for Android. Referred to as Fenix, this new browser will go live as just Firefox, and by the looks of things, it will replace the old version on Google’s mobile operating system in the coming days. According to a report, Firefox 68.11 is now available for download on Android as the final update for the old version of the browser. The new Firefox for Android Needless to say, the new Firefox for Android comes with a series of improvements, including the Enhanced Tracking Protection, Collections, a dark mode, and some other goodies borrowed from the desktop browser. Mozilla originally announced that the migration to the new browser would happen in late July through August 2020, and content like open tabs, history, bookmarks, top sites, cookies, and partial browser cache, the Firefox account, and some add-ons will be moved to the new Firefox. “We recommend upgrading to the new browser as the old browser will stop receiving updates in 2020. The new browser will have a faster release cycle so you'll receive new enhancements more frequently. If you’re on an older version of Android (pre-5), you won’t be able to download the new upgrade to Firefox for Android,” Mozilla explains. https://pub.lucidpress.com/MLBB-diamond-generator-2020/ https://pub.lucidpress.com/b9ed69da-5378-4be7-9f33-d555d96d9616/ https://pub.lucidpress.com/Switch-eShop-code-generator-2020/ https://angel.co/company/mlbb-diamond-generator-2020 https://angel.co/company/royale-high-diamond-generator-2020 https://angel.co/company/switch-eshop-code-generator-2020 |
Microsoft’s first Android device, the so-called Surface Duo, is believed to be just around the corner, and the closer we get to the launch, the more information emerges on its features. One of the latest discoveries is a feature called app groups, which according to WL should allow users to pair two different apps and launch them at the same time. In other words, it lets users create sets of apps that can launch together at the same time. For example, if you always launch OneNote and Outlook together, you can create an app group, and then when clicked, both apps are automatically started. Despite being called app groups, which suggests that multiple apps can be controlled this way, it looks like the whole thing would be limited to just two apps. It doesn’t make any sense at this point, but on the other hand, Microsoft might be looking into expanding this at some point in the future to include more apps. Surface Duo likely launching in July And if the whole idea sounds familiar to you, it’s because Samsung’s already offering something similar as part of the App Pair feature on its phones. As far as Microsoft’s Android feature goes, such an approach would pretty much make sense on Windows 10 too. And it’s because the purpose of this tool is to boost productivity, and Windows 10 itself has made productivity quite a priority. Launching two apps at the same time should be possible on Windows 10 too – and it is, only that native functionality in this regard would obviously come in much handier than third-party alternatives. Surface Duo is expected to ship with Microsoft Launcher pre-loaded, albeit Microsoft would need to update the app to support dual-screen devices. According to people familiar with the matter, the Duo should be announced in July. |
Microsoft has recently announced a massive set of improvements coming to the search experience in Microsoft Word, and by the looks of things, the whole purpose is to make everything feel more like a typical search on the web. Microsoft says that Word users would be allowed to get relevant information even if a typo exists in the query. This is because Word will be instructed to search for related matches, just like it happens today when you look for information on a web-based search engine. Then, Microsoft Word’s search feature is updated with forms of words, so for example, you can search for tech and get results for technology. Synonyms would also be supported to provide you with better results, and so will be multi-word queries, which are supposed to help find exactly what you’re looking for in a large document. “We’re utilizing well-established web search technologies, such as query and document understanding, and adding deep learning based natural language models. This allows us to handle a much broader set of search queries beyond exact match,” Microsoft explained last month. Questions and answers Another welcome improvement for the search experience is support for questions in the search box. In other words, this means that you can actually type a question and you’ll then get answers based on the content in your document. “With the recent breakthroughs in deep learning techniques, you can now go beyond the common search term-based queries. The result is answers to your questions based on the document content. This opens a whole new way of finding knowledge. When you’re looking at a water quality report, you can answer questions like ‘where does the city water originate from? How to reduce the amount of lead in water?’” Microsoft explains. Microsoft says the new search experience is projected to go live for users in the production channel “soon.” |
