werisetogether:You’re right that rent is influenced by demand and supply, and the mortgage issue is a valid point too. But the conversation isn’t only about market forces it’s also about how those forces affect real people. When demand is high and supply is low, prices will rise, but that doesn’t automatically justify poor standards or lack of basic amenities. That’s where people begin to question value for money. And yes, a functional mortgage system would help in the long run, but that doesn’t remove the need for fairness and decent living conditions in the current rental market. Both things can be addressed at the same time. |
Kaczynski:But it’s not always that simple. ‘Cheap’ apartments often come with serious issues poor water supply, bad infrastructure, or unsafe environments. That’s exactly why people complain, not just about price but about the standard of living. Telling people to just move back to their parents doesn’t address the real issue. The discussion is about fair pricing and decent living conditions, not avoiding responsibility. Everyone deserves a reasonable place to live for what they pay. |
potent5:😂😂😂 very soon we go start Dey see house rent price for front of house like fuel price |
potent5:I understand your point, but it’s not hypocrisy it’s about fairness and living conditions. Yes, prices of goods and petrol have increased, but income hasn’t increased at the same rate for most people. Housing is a basic need, not a luxury, so people will naturally speak up when rent becomes too high for what is being offered. Also, the issue many people raise is not just the increase, but the value when rent goes up but the standard of the property remains poor, that’s where the concern comes in. Nobody is saying landlords shouldn’t make profit, but there should be a balance. At the end of the day, both economic realities and human living conditions should be considered. |
thesicilian:As the OP, I’ll say this clearly this discussion is not about attacking individuals or guessing who anyone is. Let’s keep it focused on the main issue rather than turning it into personal assumptions. Contributions are welcome, but let’s keep it civil and on topic |
callmetade:😂😂😂😂 one comment that made my day |

potent5:but this isn’t just about a private individual it’s about broader economic conditions and the role of government in creating a stable environment for businesses and citizens. People can invest their money, but when issues affect many citizens at once, it becomes a public concern. We can hold both individuals and government accountable where necessary without attacking each other. |
The video is actually shocking, especially the part she talked about salary earners 😳 |

Violence has erupted in parts of South Africa following protests over a controversial issue involving an alleged Igbo traditional ruler. According to reports, the unrest occurred in the Eastern Cape, where protesters took to the streets to oppose what they described as a “coronation” of a Nigerian king in the area. The protest later turned violent, with demonstrators burning vehicles and looting properties reportedly linked to foreign nationals. Residents and traditional leaders claimed the move undermined local authority and sovereignty, leading to widespread anger and clashes in places like KuGompo (near East London). Authorities were forced to intervene as the situation escalated, while concerns continue to grow over rising tension between locals and foreign communities. It is also important to note that some reports suggest the alleged “coronation” may have been misunderstood, with officials saying it was only a cultural event and not an official kingship declaration. Iran has been firing ballistic missiles equipped with cluster munitions toward Israeli cities in the ongoing conflict, according to military assessments and media reports. Cluster munitions spread dozens of smaller explosive bomblets over a wide area, making them dangerous for civilians and infrastructure. Israeli defence sources say that about half of the missiles Iran fired at Israel so far carried cluster bomb warheads, which disperse multiple smaller explosives mid‑air, making them harder to intercept and increasing the risk to residential areas. Analysts and humanitarian organisations note that cluster munitions are controversial because they can cause indiscriminate damage and leave unexploded bomblets that remain a danger long after the attack potentially endangering civilians for years. Both Iran and Israel are not signatories to the international treaty banning cluster bombs, but human rights groups have criticised the use of such weapons due to their wide‑area effects near populated zones. So pain full 😭 |
Baxilexi:I see your point, and you’ve explained it well. The IRGC’s influence across the region is definitely a major challenge, and it does make the Middle East a hotspot compared to how other countries like North Korea or China keep their conflicts mostly internal. The US approach might look “magnanimous,” but it’s also a mix of protecting allies and strategic interests. And yes, alternative routes like canals in the UAE or Turkey’s projects show that nations are thinking ahead to reduce vulnerability to Iran’s control of critical waterways. At the same time, these conflicts affect ordinary people the most, and solutions should aim to minimize civilian suffering while addressing the bigger geopolitical issues. |

DeclanR:That’s one other problem here, but I believe GOD is at work |
U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked reactions after saying that the United States does not rely on the Strait of Hormuz for its oil supply. His statement is coming at a time when global fuel prices are rising, and tensions around the Middle East are increasing. According to Trump, the U.S. now produces enough energy domestically and is not affected by disruptions in the Strait a key route where a large portion of the world’s oil passes daily. However, analysts say the Strait of Hormuz still plays a major role in global oil markets, and any disruption could affect prices worldwide including countries far from the region. Watch the video and full breakdown here: 👉 https://www.dobblog.online/2026/03/trump-says-us-doesnt-need-hormuz-strait.html Do you agree with Trump that the U.S. no longer needs the Strait of Hormuz, or will global oil markets still be affected no matter what?
