luvissweet2f: @daviejay, why have u abandoned ur thread. U said u wanted to move out by the end of June. How far? Sorry my sister and everyone in the house. I've not abandoned the thread ooo. We're having a one-month programme in church, and I'll be really tied up till Sunday evening by God's grace. The roofing wood work will be started on Thursday, all things being equal. I intend asking my landlord to allow me pay for only July rent, so we can park out July ending. Funds are really an issue but whatever we can do. We'll move in even without total finishing. I can't afford another 650k for rent. Please from Sunday I will update the house proper. |

joshua112: davejay congrats on your project but looking at the plans carefully and speaking from the angle of an architect I think you need to make some amendments on your plan.
1)make the bathrooms of the 2rooms at the left side of the building to be in between the lounge and the rooms so d rooms can be cross ventilated.
2)remove the lobby wall between the dining and the masters so the dining becomes bigger to accommodate the dining table and also access to the lounge.
3)u can have a space between the master bedroom bath and the store so u can introduce another window thr so the masters can be fully cross ventilated
4)block off the entrance from the anteroom to d masters cos its not good for a door from the anteroom to lead to d masters for security reasons.
I have attached a sketch to dis message hope it swill help u just show it to ur architect he should be able to effect the corrections on your design Thanks sir, your points had already been implemented. |

idiagbo86: The floor plan is ok as design is based on a concept u dim fit. However ,u still have to make adjustments on the ventilation aspect of not only the room but also the lounge which accommodates alot of persons .please make it crossed and that I guess will put the structure to a finner design. Alright sir |

abdulwastecx: when properly connected to the ring beam it is as good as the conventional one.... one we do when we precast is eliminate need for form work and heavy concrete. Since the facial only serve the structural purpose of breaking wind and since your building is a bungalow, the expected wind velocity will be very low. the major problem builders used to make is resting the wooding rafter in the concrete facial, heaven for insitu type, failure will occur if the rafter rest directly on the facial. The rafter should rest on the ring/head beam or head course Thanks My Oga, this is very informative. God bless you. |
