https://demobaze..com/2019/11/does-honey-have-any-actual-health.html?m=1#more The story of honey is older than most of us realize: an 8,000-year-old cave painting in Spain depicted honey harvesting, and it's been used for food—and for medicine—all over the world ever since. But honey isn't about humans. It's the natural product made from bees, one of our planet's most important animals. Honey bees visit millions of blossoms in their lifetimes, making pollination of plants possible and collecting nectar to bring back to the hive Lucky for us, bees make more honey than their colony needs, and beekeepers remove the excess and bottle it. It’s delicious, yes, but honey has more to offer than just sweet flavor for tea or on top of yogurt. According to nutrition expert Dana Angelo White, MS, RD, honey packs plenty of powerful nutritional perks. Natural Cough Suppressant Honey has been used for centuries to help alleviate symptoms of the common cold, and now research confirms this approach for children ages one and older. According to Angelo White, honey is an effective and natural alternative to over-the-counter cough medicine. A spoonful of honey can help relieve the irritation, though it’s important to note that time is the most important healer of a sore throat. Key Ingredient For Sports Nutrition Honey is a natural source of carbohydrates, providing 17 grams per tablespoon. This is ideal for fueling muscles, says Angelo White. Carbohydrates are the primary fuel the body uses, and honey can help maintain muscle glycogen. This is effectively stored energy for muscles, which gives athletes a boost in performance when they need it most. Honey can also be used as part of exercise recovery meals and snacks to replenish tired muscles and energy stores following a workout. https://demobaze..com/2019/11/does-honey-have-any-actual-health.html?m=1#more |

https://demobaze..com/2019/11/co...t.html?m=1 The buzz around Nokia-branded TVs coming to India has been prevalent since a month or so and now we have the official date of its launch. The Nokia-branded TVs will be launched in the country on December 5 in partnership with Walmart backed-e-commerce major Flipkart, which will be the exclusive seller for the new product category from Nokia . This partnership between Nokia and Flipkart was announced earlier in November. Under the partnership, the e-tailer will facilitate manufacturing and end-to-end sales of Nokia-branded TV. The first Nokia-branded TV will feature sound quality powered by audio brand, JBL. “The partnership is backed by Flipkart’s consumer insights, which found that poor sound quality and experience is a major pain point for customers purchasing televisions,” said the company in a press statement. Last week, it was suggested that Nokia will launch a TV in 50 inch-plus size. It is likely to sport 4K ultra-HD panel. The LED TV is said to run on Android 9.0 operating system and support Google Play Store. The same week also saw certification of the Nokia TV from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for a Nokia TV with model number 55CAUHDN. The BIS certification confirms that the TV will be of 55-inch size. As per online reports, Nokia smart TV will come with Intelligent Dimming technology. The technology is said to result in better contrast and deep Black levels. In other words, it optimises picture contrast quality in real time to offer better contrast. Last week, the company announced on Twitter that it is going to launch a new phone in December this year. The company, however, did not reveal the name of the upcoming device. According to some online reports, it is expected that the firm may launch Nokia 8.2. The speculation is based on the last year’s December 5 event where the company unveiled Nokia 8.1. https://demobaze..com/2019/11/co...l?m=1#more |
People who increased their red meat intake over 8 years had a higher death risk in the following 8 years than people whose meat intake stayed the same. Conversely, decreasing meat intake and replacing it with more healthful alternatives reduced death risk. Eating red meat can raise the risk of premature death. These are the main takeaways of new research that investigators have just published in the journal The BMJ . Yan Zheng, a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, is the first author of the paper. Frank Hu, Fredrick J. Stare Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology and chair of the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, MA, is the senior author of the study. Prof. Zheng and colleagues used data that was available from the Nurses' Health Study and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study. In total, the researchers examined 53,553 women and 27,916 men who had no cardiovascular disease or cancer at the start of the study. The team examined whether changes in red meat intake in 1986–1994 correlated with mortality risk in the subsequent 8 years, covering 1994–2002. They also looked at whether changes in red meat intake between 1994–2002 predicted mortality risk between 2002–2010. source https://demobaze..com/2019/06/red-meat-and-death-risk-study-offers.html |

The Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone range will be unveiled on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at the Galaxy Unpacked events in London and San Francisco. Online pre-orders for the devices are widely-tipped to go live seconds after the curtains close on the presentations, although the new S10 handsets won't be available in stores worldwide until March 8, 2019. Ahead of the hotly-anticipated unveil, Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh has hinted that the upcoming Galaxy S10 range will feature "very significant" design changes, and “amazing” new colours. So, it sounds like there's a lot to look forward to with the next iteration of the flagship Galaxy S series. Folding Samsung Galaxy X release date, price, leaks, 5G Of course, that makes a lot of sense given that this new Samsung-branded smartphone will mark the tenth anniversary of the wildly-successful range. Like the iPhone X, which signalled the tenth anniversary of Apple's popular smartphone range, we not only expect Galaxy S10 to boast a new industrial design, but a steep increase in price, too. But while the Samsung Galaxy S10 promises to look significantly different from its predecessors, don't expect anything too revolutionary. After all, that honour is soundly reserved for the Galaxy X – the first entry in an all-new line of folding smartphones that will be announced on-stage alongside the Galaxy S10 at the same Unpacked media event in mid-February. The Galaxy X, which was very briefly unveiled during Samsung's annual developer conference in November, includes a 7.3-inch foldable OLED display that unfurls like the inside pages of a paperback to offer an optional tablet-like experience. see full post and photos at https://naijaflexijam..com/2019/02/galaxy-s10-release-date-price-and-specs.html |

HUAWEI P20 REVIEW The P20 is one of two new Huawei phones launched in Paris on 27 March 2018 along with the P20 Pro. After a succession of quite-good but not-quite-there P series phones, this is the best phone Huawei has made in ages. It has excellent design, outstanding cameras and is well priced. The P20 not only improves on the P10 but challenges the Galaxy S9 on quality and the OnePlus 5T in price. It’s one of the best Android phones you can buy in 2018. see image at ........http://demobaze..com.ng/2018/04/huaweis-p20-specifications-and-price.html?m=1 |
Prosecutors in the northern Nigeria state of Kaduna have charged a group of 53 people with conspiring to celebrate a gay wedding. The accused, arrested last Saturday, have denied the allegations, with their lawyers saying they were illegally detained. The court released the group on bail and the case was remanded to 8 May. Homosexual acts are banned in socially conservative Nigeria and are punishable by up to 14 years in jail. During a court appearance in Chediya-Zaria, the group pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, unlawful assembly and belonging to an unlawful society. Defence lawyer Yunusa Umar said most of the accused were students and had been illegally detained for more than 24 hours, the local Premium Times newspaper reported. Gay rights campaigners who have been in touch with people involved in the case told the BBC’s Stephanie Hegarty in Lagos the accused were arrested at a birthday party, not a wedding. Nigeria has an influential Christian evangelical movement in the south and strong support for Islamic law in the north, both of which oppose homosexuality. see full post and photo at………… http://databaze.ga/2017/04/22/nigeria-gay-wedding-bust-leads-to-charges/ |
We’d hazard a guess that the Google Pixel 2 is coming this year, but the leaks haven’t started flowing yet. Here’s what we want to see in Google’s flagship, including specs, features, camera, Android 8 and more. Latest Google Pixel 2 news and leaks (Update: 6 March 2017): Google has admitted that the Google Pixel 2 will be arriving later this year, although there’s no specific release date just yet. Read on to find out more. The Google Pixel hit the shelves late last year, so it’s still too early for serious leaks about a sequel to one of our favourite phones of 2016. The biggest rumour so far revolves around one of our most requested Pixel 2 features, and it seems the upcoming flagship will survive a dunk in the bath. There’s also some predictable bits that have come out regarding the phone. 9to5Google claims it’ll have a better camera, a price bump and possibly a lower-priced version too. In any case, Google has at least confirmed that the phone will be coming later this year. Speaking to Android Pit, Rick Osterloh, who heads up Google’s hardware division, admitted that the Pixel series wasn’t just an experiment, saying: “There is an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it. You can count on a successor this year, even if you don’t hear a date from me now.” Google Pixel 2: What we (think) we know Google Pixel 2 – predicted specs 1.Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB RAM 2.5 and 5.7-inch screens, both 2560 x 1440 3.Quick Charge 4.0 4.Android 8 5.Water-resistant body The Google Pixel 2 will be flagship device, and as such it’ll have pretty much all the top end specs available. We’d wager that there’ll be a Snapdragon 835 CPU – the same processor that’ll likely power the Samsung Galaxy S8 , but not the LG G6 – and either 4GB or 6GB RAM . HTC has stuck with 4GB RAM for its U Ultra, so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not Samsung and LG jump to 6GB. If Google does go with the 835, that means the Pixel 2 will be capable of Quick Charge 4.0 . This is possibly the coolest feature of the new chip, as Qualcomm claims you’ll get five hours of juice from a five minute charge. Now that’s something we can get onboard with. What’s new in the Snapdragon 835? We might see a 4K display on the Pixel 2, especially if Google wants to push its Daydream VR platform forward, but no one has successfully managed to do this yet. The Note 7 was rumoured to pack this high-res panel and it didn’t, and it doesn’t look like the Galaxy S8 will either. Battery life, overheating and poor performance are all negatives of having even more pixels in a display, so we’d guess it’ll stay at quad-HD for the larger model and probably 1080p for the smaller. We’d like to see both gun for Quad HD , though. Google Pixel review Finally, you can bet that fiver in your pocket that the next Google phone will be the first to ship with Android 8.0 . We’ve heard nothing about what that might include yet, but Android ‘O’ (Oreo? Orbit Gum? Oatmeal cookie? Opal Fruit?) will surely revolve heavily around the Google Assistant – and making it even smarter. We might see some AI elements too – as that’s all the rage – and hopefully an end to the increasingly defunct homescreen. When does the Google Pixel 2 come out? Google tends to release its flagship phone in the Autumn, shortly after Apple unveils the iPhone. We’d peg the Google Pixel 2 with an October/November launch, with pre- orders going live immediately following the announcement. How much will the Google Pixel 2 cost? Google Pixel : £599 (32GB) | £699 (128GB) Google Pixel XL: £719 (32GB) | £819 (128GB) We would expect the Google Pixel 2 to hit the price-points as above – we hope lower – though possibly with higher storage at lower prices. 2. Improved base storage, or a microSD slot Both Pixels currently offer either 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, but we’d like to see that base jump to 64GB. Like 16GB before it, 32GB is fast becoming redundant as 4K video files get bigger and mobile games become more ambitious. 32GB can easily be filled up with a few Spotify playlists and a holiday’s worth of snaps. Things aren’t helped by the lack of expandable storage, which is pretty much the norm on every other Android phone. 64GB seems a much fairer starting point, and Google could always offer up an iPhone 7 matching 256GB model for the media hoarders out there. 4. Water resistance is a must The Google Pixel matches, and in most cases supersedes, flagships from Sony, Apple and Samsung in many areas but it’s still lacking something. A high IP rating (either IP67 or IP68) means you can dunk your phone in about a metre of water without any actual damage, and it’s a feature the Google Pixel 2 simply must have to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7 (or iPhone 7S/iPhone .see photos @ ............. http://databaze.ga/2017/04/21/google-is-about-to-releas-a-google-pixel-2-phone-see-photo-releas-date-and-fetures/ |
The new device has an all-glass body, and is slim and long compared to most modern smartphones, designed to be held in one hand. The Galaxy S8 comes in two sizes – the S8 with a 5.8-inch display, measuring 148.9 x 68.1 x8.0 mm, and the S8+ with a 6.2-inch display, measuring 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm. The physical Home button has been removed, and replaced with a pressure- sensitive panel placed underneath the screen, so that the front of the device is a sheer pane of glass. The fingerprint reader is now located on the back of the phone, next to the camera module, and is designed to be used with an index finger rather than a thumb. The phone also supports iris scanning for added security. Despite rumours that Samsung was planning to follow Apple in ditching the headphone jack , the Galaxy S8 has retained this feature. The smartphone also comes with a pair of high-performance AKG by Harman headphones in the box. DISPLAY The reason for the Galaxy S8’s unusual shape is its ultra-wide display, which has an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 rather than the conventional 16:9, and extremely narrow bezels around the edge of the screen. Samsung describes the display as “Quad HD+”, which is the same classification as the recently launched LG G6 , and translates to a screen resolution of 2960×1440 pixels. It is also the world’s first mobile device certified by the UHD Alliance as “Mobile HDR Premium”, meaning it lets you see the vibrant colours and contrasts that filmmakers intended while watching your favourite shows. FEATURES AND SPACE The Galaxy S8 features a 12-Megapixel “Dual Pixel” camera on the back, for improved low-light, zoom and anti-blur photos, and an 8-Megapixel selfie camera with smart autofocus on the front. It has an IP68 rating, which means it is water resistant to a maximum depth of 1.5m for up to 30 minutes, and is protected from dust, dirt and sand without the need for extra caps or covers. The Galaxy S8 boasts the industry’s first 10nm chip, which Samsung claims enables heightened speed and efficiency. It also contains 6GB RAM and 64GB of in-built storage, expandable up to 256GB with a MicroSD card. The smaller model has a 3,000 mAh battery, while the larger one has a 3,500 mAh battery. Both offer a choice of wired or wireless charging. SOFTWARE Both devices run the latest version of Google’s operating system, Android 7.0 Nougat. This includes new productivity features such as multi-tasking, which allows two apps to run on-screen at the same time, so you can continue watching a video on YouTube while replying to an email. The Galaxy S8 also comes with the Edge software, which allows you to add shortcuts to contacts and apps in a pull- out panel on the edge of the display, and enhanced security features. RELEASE DATE The Samsung Galaxy S8 will launch in the UK and Europe on April 28. It will be available in two colour variants – Midnight Black and Orchid Grey – with potential availability of a third colour, Arctic Silver, to be announced in due course. UK pre-orders are open from March 29 until April 19 on Samsung.com/uk , and from select operators and retailers. Pre-order customers will receive their devices from 20 April, subject to stock availability. PRICE The Samsung Galaxy S8 costs £689 up- front, while the S8+ costs £779. more photos @……… http://databaze.ga/2017/04/16/samsung-galaxy-s8-uk-release-date-price-image-features/

AT A GLANCE Apple has a major iPhone redesign planned for 2017, with a glass body and edge-to-edge OLED display that includes an integrated Touch ID fingerprint sensor and front-facing camera. The new iPhone may be sold alongside upgraded (but standard) 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhones. 2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and Apple has something major planned to celebrate the occasion. We’ve got several months to go until the launch of the iPhone 8, but because of Apple’s ambitious plans for the device, there are already an abundance of rumors hinting at the impressive features coming in the 2017 iPhone. Apple is rumored to be testing more than 10 prototype iPhone models , so it’s not entirely clear what we’re going to see, and because there are so many test devices in play, rumors are also conflicting and murky at this time. Rumors suggest it’s going to be a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels where features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing camera are housed. Instead, most rumors suggest Touch ID may be built directly into the display, meaning there will be no Home button An alleged leaked design schematic has suggested that instead of placing the Touch ID fingerprint sensor under the glass, it could be located at the back of the iPhone, but it’s not yet clear if this schematic is indicative of the final design of the OLED iPhone. With an edge-to-edge design, the iPhone 8 may be similar in size to the 4.7-inch iPhone, but with a display the size of the 5.5-inch iPhone. Rumors suggest it will feature a 5.8-inch display with 5.15 inches of usable area, with the rest dedicated to virtual buttons that will replace the existing Home button. The display itself is said to be flexible plastic OLED rather than an LCD, allowing Apple to introduce a thinner device that consumes less power and offers a better display with higher contrast ratio and more true to life colors. It may also feature edges that are curved on both sides like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but rumors are unclear on this point , and it’s looking more like it will have the same slightly curved 2.5D display that’s similar to the display used in the iPhone 7. As for the body, rumors suggest Apple is finally going to move away from the aluminum used in the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s, 7, and SE, instead re-adopting a glass body that’s similar to the body that was used in the iPhone 4. At least one iPhone model coming in 2017 will use a glass body, according to Apple supplier Catcher Technology, and according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the glass will be built around an aluminum or stainless steel frame. Like the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 is expected to be water resistant , but it may have an improved IP68 water resistance rating. It will continue to be able to hold up to rain, splashes, and brief submersion in water. Instead of a Lightning port, the iPhone 8 could adopt a USB-C port , but rumors disagree on this point. Inside, the iPhone 8 is expected to have a 10-nanometer A11 chip that will be both faster and more efficient, plus rumors suggest it could also include features like wireless charging and biometric additions like iris, facial, or gesture recognition. In higher-end models with a dual-lens camera, both lenses are expected to feature optical image stabilization, and there’s a possibility at least one model could feature a vertical dual camera. The iPhone 8’s front-facing camera may include 3D sensing capabilities that use technology by PrimeSense, allowing it to find the location and depth of objects in front of it, perhaps enabling facial and iris recognition. Apple is said to be planning to position the OLED iPhone 8 as a ~5-inch “premium” model that will perhaps be sold alongside standard 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone models with traditional LCD screens. All three models may include glass bodies and wireless charging (though rumors disagree on this point), but it is unclear if the two LCD models will feature the same edge-to-edge display rumored for the higher-end device and what differentiating features will be included. Rumors suggest the OLED iPhone is going to be pricy, with multiple rumors referring to it as “premium” and one rumor suggesting it could sell for upwards of $1,000 , which is a good deal more expensive than previous iPhones. Other rumors don’t quite agree, though, so it could be closer in price to the iPhone 7 Pluse. iPhone 8 is still under development and will likely launch in the fall of 2017, and in the months ahead of its launch, we’ll undoubtedly learn more about the specs of the device. Part Leaks and Schematics Early iPhone 8 design schematics surfaced in April, pointing towards a device that’s a quite a bit different than rumors have indicated. The device in the rendering, which appears to be from the Engineering Verification Testing stage of iPhone development, features an almost edge- to-edge display with slim bezels at the top and the bottom, along with a vertical dual camera and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor located at the back of the device. The rendering also suggests the device in the rendering is 8.6mm thick, a good deal thicker than the 7.1mm iPhone 7. A vertical dual camera and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the iPhone 8’s casing are rumors that we’ve only heard once before, and Apple was rumored to be testing as many as 12 iPhone 8 prototypes, so it’s possible this is not representative of the final design of the device. Most rumors suggest Apple is planning to put the Touch ID fingerprint under the display of the device, but there have also been hints that Apple is struggling with that particular design, so it’s also possible Apple was forced to relocate the Touch ID sensor to the rear of the iPhone 8. Given the mixed information, it’s not clear if this is the device we’ll see in the fall, but Apple’s design plans should become clearer as a release date approaches and we see more design details and part leaks. NAMING Following Apple’s standard naming scheme, with a numeric increase during even years to mark external design changes and an “S” increase during odd years to denote internal feature updates only, the 2017 iPhone would be called the “iPhone 7s.” Given the major changes Apple plans to introduce to the iPhone in 2017, it seems unlikely the device will receive an “S” name, so there’s a good chance Apple may decide to skip directly to the next full number, naming the 2017 iPhone the iPhone 8. 2007 – iPhone 2008 – iPhone 3G 2009 – iPhone 3GS 2010 – iPhone 4 (new design) 2011 – iPhone 4s 2012 – iPhone 5 (new design) 2013 – iPhone 5s 2014 – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (new design) 2015 – iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus 2016 – iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus 2017 – iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus iPhone 8 is a tentative name for the device — it has not yet been confirmed by Apple — but it seems to be the most logical choice for a major update. There’s always the possibility Apple will call it something else or make 2017 the year it moves away from a numbered iPhone naming scheme. Work on the 2017 iPhone is said to be taking place in Israel, and one report suggests employees at the facility are calling the device “iPhone 8,” but it continues to be unclear as to whether that’s the official name Apple will go with. Apple is also rumored to be planning to produce a total of three iPhone models in 2017, further confusing the potential naming scheme. As two these devices could perhaps be similar in style to the existing iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, sold alongside the flagship OLED model, some rumors suggest they could be called the “iPhone 7s” and an “iPhone 7s Plus.” In that case, we’d have an iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus, and an iPhone 8 or some other name like iPhone X or iPhone Pro. DESIGN For the iPhone 8, Apple is rumored to be planning to move away from the aluminum body that it’s been using since 2012 in an effort to differentiate the iPhone from the devices that have come before it. Apple is expected to instead re-adopt the glass-backed body last used for the iPhone 4s. Glass is more fragile and heavier than aluminum, but many advances have been made in glass technology and materials like Gorilla Glass are sturdier than ever, which ma help prevent breakage. Multiple rumors have suggested there will be three versions of the iPhone: a “premium” OLED model and two standard LCD devices, with sizes that may include 4.7, 5.8 inches (OLED), and 5.5 inches. While one model (the high- end OLED device) will feature a glass body, rumors disagree on what the other two models will be made from. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming- Chi Kuo, who has shared several accurate rumors about Apple’s plans in the past, all three iPhones will feature the same glass-bodied design, with glass instead of aluminum used for the body of the device. Kuo also believes a stainless steel frame will be used in the higher-end iPhone, while less expensive models may get an aluminum frame, but he believes all three models will use glass. DigiTimes, citing sources within the Taiwanese supply chain, has also predicted Apple will adopt a glass body with a stainless steel frame for improved sturdiness in the iPhone 8. The iPhone 4 and 4s, made with a glass back, also used a stainless steel frame. The iPhone 4, introduced in 2010 Japanese site Nikkei also believes Apple will use glass for all three of the iPhones that are in development, but other sources have suggested only one — the OLED model — will have a glass body, while others continue to use an aluminum body. The CEO of Apple supplier Catcher Technology, Allen Horng , has said “only one model” will adopt a glass casing in 2017, suggesting other non-glass iPhones are in the works. Japanese site Mac Otakara has suggested Apple will sell a 4.7 and 5.5-inch aluminum “iPhone 7s” and “iPhone 7 Plus” with a design that’s largely unchanged from the iPhone 7 with the exception of a new red color option, and DigiTimes predicts a 4.7-inch “iPhone 7s” with an aluminum body to be sold alongside a 5.8-inch OLED iPhone with a glass body and a 5.5-inch model of an unspecified material. There are two possible outcomes based on the rumors we’re hearing: Either we get three iPhones with glass bodies and wireless charging, with extra features to set the OLED model apart from the standard models, or we get a single OLED model with a glass body sold alongside two standard aluminum devices. Size wise, while the OLED iPhone will use a larger display panel because it includes no bezels, it may be similar in size to the 4.7-inch iPhone. Apple is also said to be planning to sell a standard 4.7-inch iPhone and a larger 5.5-inch iPhone. WATER RESISTANCE The iPhone 8 may feature an IP68 water resistance rating , an improvement over the IP67 certification earned by the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. Like the Galaxy S7, which is also IP68 certified, the iPhone 8 might be able to withstand 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes while also offering full dust protection. That means it will continue to hold up to splashes and brief immersion in water, but customers should still make an effort to avoid water as Apple’s iPhone 7 warranty does not cover water damage and it’s likely the iPhone 8 warranty will also exclude water damage. MOCKUPS AND CONCEPTS It’s too early for iPhone 8 part leaks, and we’ve only seen one alleged iPhone 8 schematic, but many designers have made mockups and concepts imagining what the iPhone 8 might look like based on current rumors. see photos @ http://databaze.ga/2017/04/15/apples-iphone-8-is-coming-in-the-fall-of-2017see-image-and-frctures/?i=1 |
