Phones / Samsung Galaxy Note 7 & Note 7 Edge See Specs & Release Date by DaxTech: 11:03am On Jul 12, 2016 |
Rumors and speculations circulating around in relation to the Galaxy Note 7 and Note 7 Edge, and judging from previous experiences, it is more than likely that they will be true. from past experience of the release dates of the previous Note devices, the Note 7 is expected to be released during the third quarter of 2017. The exact Galaxy Note 7 release date however, cannot be ascertained as of now yet. But we expect that it should be on August or September 1st week. Operating system It is highly unlikely that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will run on any currently available Android version. The latest version released at that time is what is expected to be on the device. In fact, many experts say that it might rank among the first devices to use that version of Android that will be released just about the same time with the device. Processor The processor that is being talked about for the Samsung Note 7 Edge device is the Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core 2.9 GHz processor. It has many premium features that simply make it the perfect fit for the device. Such features include low power consumption and faster processing speeds. Body The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to have an all glass appearance, with an option of black or silver colored glass for the back side. The type of glass to be used will have some unique properties such as not being able to break easily. Battery One of the main challenges associated with smartphone devices is usually the battery life and durability. Rumors have it that they will use a new type of battery which can fit more capacity in smaller sizes of battery. This means that we can get up to 6000mAh without significant changes in battery size which might affect overall size of the device. The inbuilt battery will also incorporate the fast charge technology with only 15 minutes needed to charge up to 75%. Memory With the huge tasks that the device is expected to handle, there definitely going to be the need for a large RAM. 8 GB of RAM is what we expect for the Note 7. Any issues of phone lagging are no longer going to be a problem. The main memory will have 128 GB of storage space to accommodate all the multimedia files and large applications. If that still won’t be sufficient enough for you, you can add a Micro SD card of up to 200 GB. Phones / Sharp Announces Waterproof Android One Phone See Specs & Price by DaxTech: 4:01pm On Jul 06, 2016 |
The manufacturing Giant has continued to manufacture multitudes of machines, in recent time the company engage in making Mobile Phones. The company has just announced a Android One phone, Sharp Aquos 507SH Android phone. The Sharp Aquos 507SH will feature IPX5 water and dust resistant (but without port covers) and has a 3,010 battery that Sharp claims will last three days of use. Other specs include a 5-inch IGZO HD (720p) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC with 2GB of RAM, 16GB on-board storage, microSD support, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and Android 6.0. It is of some considerable curiosity that Japan is getting its first Android One phone, and not via one of the country’s top three carriers, to boot. This could mean that Google is going to try and push the platform in other developed countries as well, or it may just be an attempt by Sharp to try and find a new market to sell to, though that would likely mean the price tag will need to be quite low. The Android one Smartphone will be prized around the range of $200-300. if converted to Nigerian Naira with the current exchange rate of 282 per dollar that gives us 56,400 – 84,600 Naira. We want to examine this smart device critically the design and specs to determine if its worth that amount of money, over to you our readers your comment is welcomed Read more: http://daxtech.com.ng/blog/sharp-announces-waterproof-android-one-phone-see-specs-price/

Phones / Blackberry Will Release Three Android Phones For 2016 See Specs by DaxTech: 12:38pm On Jul 04, 2016 |
Blackberry is prepping to release three android phones this 2016 and these handsets have different code names: Neon, Argon and Mercury. BlackBerry Neon The BlackBerry Neon: will be the first to get official and it is believed to be a mid-range affair with no physical keyboard and a 1080p display. The Neon will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 and contain 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 13MP camera. The Neon will be competitively priced when it gets a release date in either July or August. The BlackBerry Argon: is the MAC DADDY. This is the replacement for last year’s PRIV and it will be available in October, apparently. Featuring a 5.5in QHD display alongside Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 21MP camera and 32GB of internal storage, the BlackBerry Argon will compete with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 and Apple’s iPhone 7. Both of which are due for release the month before. The BlackBerry Mercury: is the only handset of the trio to feature a physical QWERTY keyboard. But this is no PRIV unit; no, this handset takes all of its design inspiration from the BlackBerry Passport. The Mercury will feature a 4.5in 1080p display set in a squarish 3:2 aspect ratio. The handset will be made entirely out of aluminium and everything will be powered along by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 alongside 3GB of RAM. Other specs include 32GB of storage, an 18MP camera and a 3400mAh battery. The Mercury is expected to launch inside Q1 2017. Phones / Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Released See Spec & Price In Nigeria by DaxTech: 3:52pm On Oct 06, 2015 |
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the 5.7-inch smartphone successor to the Note 4, arguably one of the standout phones of 2014. So it’s somewhat surprising that Samsung has taken the decision not to bring its new phablet to the UK. Instead, it’s hoping the S6 Edge Plus, along with the S6 and S6 Edge will fly the flag and battle against the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. But it still seems like a strange decision considering how well received last year’s Note was. Was it the wrong decision? I’m not so sure. Having lived with the new Note and the Note 4 before it, I can see why Samsung may have decided to leave its latest phablet on the sidelines in the UK, as there are a few design changes that may alienate diehard fans of the series. But, even with these issues the Note 5 remains one of the best phablets on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the same basic shape as the Note 4, but the construction of the two phones couldn’t be any more different. The Note 5 dimensions are certainly bigger than Samsung’s 5.1-inch flagship, but it’s actually a hair smaller and noticeably thinner than the Note 4. It’s lighter too, at 171g, shedding 5g, even with its metal-and-glass construction. Its back glass also curves inward on the right and left sides. It’s still as big but now slimmer, framed by sleek metal and glass. Use S Pen on a gorgeous flat surface while the phone’s dual-edge back lies snuggly in your hand. It’s what makes Galaxy Note5 click. And it’s even more like an actual pen, one that writes just as well. But achieves a lot more, making life that much easier. You’ll never want to put it down. At dawn, with friends, at home, on holiday. You shouldn’t worry about the lack of light or missing the moment. Snap away. Because you can when it’s the Galaxy Note5 camera. Phones / Are We Going Back To The Good Old Days With LG Gentle Flip Android 5.1? by DaxTech: 1:28pm On Aug 03, 2015 |
Are we going back to the good old days? well save your answer until you see this. Most smartphones nowadays are big and touchscreen slabs, and while some of them may have attractive designs, there’s not much differentiation when it comes to form factors. Sometimes something different pops up, though, and that’s the case again today. LG has released an Android 5.1 Lollipop flip smartphone. Its beautifully made and it sports great features like a soft leather-like finish on the back, and inside is a 3.2-inch touchscreen with 320 x 480 pixels. The camera, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing selfie taker inside the shell. An adequate 1,700mAh battery supplies current to the device while a 4GB of expandable storage, 1.1 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM make up the engine. The LG Gentle weighs at 143 grams and measures 117.7 x 58.7 x 16.6 mm. Speaking about connectivity, there’s LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and AGPS topping the list. This smartphone will sold out at the rate of $170 using the current exchange rates. http://daxtech.com.ng/blog/lg-gentle-flip-android-5-1-lollipop-phone-see-specs-price/

Phones / Leaked Sony Xperia C5 & M5 Coming Soon See Specs & Price by DaxTech: 11:54am On Aug 03, 2015 |
New Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 devices have leaked in full ahead of their formal reveal next week as Russian site Hi-Tech.Mail.ru has just published a preview of both devices. we not very sure what they would announce but they seem to be teasing some kind of new camera tech. And that’s good. It’s arguably the most important hardware spec in this year’s smartphone arms race, something any smartphone needs to excel at in order to be crowned king. The newly leaked 6-inch Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and 5-inch Sony Xperia M5 both feature relatively modest specs on paper, but have their standout features (like Sony’s new IMX230 image sensor on the M5 which is also found on the Moto X Style/Pure Edition). As for looks, the M5 is the usual Xperia fare while the C5 Ultra has the most striking design thanks to razor thin side bezels and its huge overall size. Let’s take a look at the rest of the specs here: Sony Xperia C5 Ultra 6-inch 1080p edge-to-edge display (0.8mm thin) MediaTek MT6752 chipset (1.7GHz octa-core) 16GB internal storage 2GB RAM Micro SD card slot 13MP rear / 13MP rear camera with front facing flash 2,930mAh battery Sony Xperia M5 5-inch 1080p display MediaTek Helio X10 chipset (2GHz octa-core) 16GB internal storage 3GB RAM Micro SD card slot 21.5MP camera hybrid auto focus, 5x lossless zoom / 13MP front facing camera 2,600mAh battery IP65/IP68 dust/water resistance http://daxtech.com.ng/blog/leaked-sony-xperia-c5-m5-coming-soon-see-specs-price/

Phones / Lenovo To Launch Lenovo A7000 Smartphone See Date & Specs by DaxTech: 12:30pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
Lenovo is sending out invite to the launch of their smartphone Lenovo A7000 The event will take place on Tuesday, April 7. Lenovo A7000 has a 5.5-inch HD screen, bigger than the 5-inch display of its predecessor. The screen quality is superb, with vibrant colours and excellent viewing angles. You cannot notice any pixilation on the smartphone’s screen, though some portions may appear a little oversaturated due to the colour reproduction. In terms of design, Lenovo A7000 is a little plain, maintaining the boxy look of its predecessor. Made entirely of plastic, it doesn’t have much to boast of on the design front. However, it is very light at 140grams and you would be able to use it for extended periods of time without noticing the weight. The new A7000 smartphone runs on Lenovo’s Vibe UI, which we have seen earlier as well. This time, the custom software is built on Android Lolllipop, so there are a few animations you will certainly notice. The performance is very smooth and we did not notice any jitters or lag while running it through our paces at the demo station. Lenovo A7000 comes with a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek chip and 2GB RAM, making it a powerful smartphone. The performance, as we mentioned above, is splendid and you would be hard pressed to push this smartphone to its limits using the regular apps. Lenovo A7000 has an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back, It comes with several shooting modes and image editing features but the images we captured at the booth were less than satisfactory. The camera is okay-ish under poor lighting, so we do expect that to change under normal lighting conditions. The front 5MP camera, however, is very good, at par with the ones we have seen on rival smartphones. As you would expect of a selfie shooter, it glazes over the blemishes on the face to deliver the best possible self portrait. Another key feature of the smartphone is its 2,900mAh battery, which should last at least a day even with 4G turned on.
