Thank you for your response. I'm looking to spend as little as possible to ensure continuous power for wifi, a DC fan, charging of mobile devices and maybe light bulbs. I would like for the inverter to be able to power a 55 inch smart tv or a Hisense fridge (150w and 90w) respectively. Not for active use but just in case either of those need to be used on the backup. What are my options

Saying you're on Budget, without stating a range means nothing because na where you Maximum end, another person Maximum start. In other words, Your Maximum is Less than someOne else Minimum.

Now to respond blindly to your comment, Regards the appliances and devices you listed, excluding the Fridge, a Tokunbo UPS (Costs less than 15,000 naira), 2pcs of 300 Watts Solar panels, 1 or 2 pcs of 12volts 200Ah Tubular / Lithium battery.
if you can't source for quality Lithium batteries, please respect yourself and buy Tubular or Normal Deep cell battery.
You could even buy a Used battery sef and it would serve you, so long you don't buy rubbish.

Add a New / Used charge controller. PWM should be Okay here.

As for cable, Normal NEPA cable I often speak about is enough.

Haha I was looking to buy your inverter

The battery I wanted to get, Deriy 12v 280ah 447k is no longer in stock till July.

The second choice, Haisic 4000wh 12v, is about 450-470k. The problem is that there are limited reviews and information about the battery.

Thanks for this. Problem is I’m not sure I need 1.5kva
mctfopt:
1) 12V 1.8kwh lithium battery ₦399k from Valto or Cworth 1kwh @ ₦177k
2) 1.5kva 12v inverter from SRNE around ₦350k

Hello everyone, my neighborhood recently got downgraded from Band A to Band B and the power situation is bad. I would like to setup an urgent backup.
My energy needs are minimal;

I just want to be able to keep the internet (fiber) running, charge my phones & laptops, use fan & use lightbulbs. Maybe use the fridge (and tv) with it occasionally. In fact, I don’t expect my instantaneous power draw to ever exceed 300w as it’s essentially just a backup and I can save my major power demands for the grid.

What are the most cost effective recommendations as I did not plan for this and I’m on a budget. I may not use panels for now as charging the batteries & regular grid usage on Band B are still around 70% less than band A so I don’t mind for now. The focus is power as petrol is simply unaffordable at the moment

Hi did you eventually upgrade?
Ayomipoe:
Do you have a contact for the SRNE 1.5kva?

I have an SMS 1KVA 12V. My biggest problem currently is that I want to buy a bigger battery. However, SMS's maximum charging current is 40a. Most 280Ah batteries I have seen have about 50a as the recommended charging current.

I am not yet ready to purchase a 24v system (Inverter and battery )

I have a 55” Samsung smart TV. Netflix is no longer supported on it. However, Prime video and YouTube still work. I’ll check the model number and update. Asking price is 250k. Open to reasonable offers.
