In case of parapet, yes the house needs columns. By just looking at the soil, this is a solid land. On a general note, we tend to overbuild in Nigeria these days. I know some homes built with mud in my village that are still standing strong after 65 years. We tend to overbuild and waste money these days. The house I currently live is brick house from top to bottom with no single lintel or column. Imagine it is not a one floor home. The house was built in 2011 and I expect it to be the same in 200 year's time - if I'm still around.

1. Ground floor - living room, dinning and kitchen/storage
2. First floor - 2nos ensuite bedrooms
3. Second floor - 2nos ensuite master bedrooms

Second day of blockwork on the 2nd floor, 4 coaches was achieved yesterday and another 4 coaches will be added today. Iron reinforcement framework were fixed today for all the columns point. Hopefully by Monday, we will be done with blockwork

I am a very straightforward person who believes in the Satisfaction of my customers who has given me the chance to prove my honesty and I will not want to fail them.

To me I don't think there is any reason for me to use a quarry without a computerised weigh bill which cannot be manipulated because I love doing clean jobs.

@all the ones using handwritten weigh bill you mentioned above, I will never go there because they are not the only one in Abeokuta.

For INTEGRITY Sake, I use quarry with computerised weigh bills because that's the only best way I can use to convince my customers of their supplies without having to talk too much.

There are lot of suppliers who supplies 12-15tonnes in place of 20tonnes and provides handwritten receipt of which some quarry even give them an empty receipt to fill whatever they want in it.
